Hiii, may someone help me please!! >_<
I don't know why my Xperia ion froze!! And the screen is blank...
I tried to do "power + volume up" but it doesn't work this time..
What should I do? I connected it to the computer but nothing happened.
Is there any way to solve this?
Should I wait until It runs out off battery and reset it again?
Thanks

Is the data on the phone gonna be deleted?
Thanks
Yes, data on phone will be wiped unless backed up on sd. (so contacts, games, apps, setings: gone)
i have had the same problem as you before

3. Charge your phone until you get at least 50%
4. At this point - you should be able to flash your device - following normal flash procedures

If I just flash without wiping data, then backup my important data, and flash again then restore the backup, is that gonna work?
Thanks

The phone doesn't feel warm or overheat at all.. if it takes more than 12 hours, is it gonna destroy the screen...? cuz the screen was on for soooooooooo long.......

Hey guys, sorry to bother again...
Well, after my ion went to the repair shop to get it fixed, after only a WEEK, it starts playing up again -__- I was on the call and the battery dies on me cause of low battery. I put it in the charger and it's a normal red LED light. However, after hours of charging, it doesn't turn on I tried volume up + power, tried to SUS and PC Companion, it doesn't connect so I doubt flashtool would work...
Anyone had/is having this problem and any solutions I can try?
Thanks

Not sure. Usually your symptoms happen after people are flashing and customizing stuff nit just letting the battery die. Hopefully it starts back up for you. Keep us informed.

Hi Zak - do you resolved your issue?
So today for the second time since I've had it (A little over 2 weeks) The screen wouldn't turn on. The phone was completely unresponsive. I try to force reboot it and it wouldn't work. The phone got EXTREMELY hot and I guess once it killed the battery, the phone finally cooled down. Anyone know what could be causing this problem? A Sony sales rep said I should try to "repair" the software but I find that is quite useless.
Had our ZL for about 2 weeks and something similar; screen just would not turn on (did not get hot though). Had to do a hard reset (press the reset button next to the SD card inside the back panel for about 10 seconds) to get the phone to respond again.
So weird..never met this issue after 1month usage. i dont think any conflict of software is the cause..you should ask Sony to "repair" themselves, a new one is better unless

I tried the reset button the first time, but I don't think I held it for that long. I guess if it happens again, I'll try that. I just hope it doesnt happen, but I have a feeling it will.

This happened again to us today. Wife is using the phone now but had to press the reset button.
Saw this concerning the Xperia Z:
http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/03/20/some-xperia-z-handsets-dropping-dead-sony-says-a-fix-is-coming/
We have come across numerous reports on forums that people’s Xperia Z handsets are suddenly dying. From what we can gather, the phone is working fine and then suddenly dies, with users unable to switch it on. A hard restart (power button + volume up) has worked for some people but not for others.
There doesn’t appear to be a particular pattern of why this is happening. Some say it is related to low battery status, but it has even happened to users who have plenty of charge left. Sony Mobile says it is aware of the problem and that a “fix for this will be implemented in next software update”. Have you had this problem with your Xperia Z? Let us know in the comments below.

Has anyone else had this happen? Is the Z and ZL similar enough to think that the problem with the Z is the same as the ZL? Each time the phone was down to approx 30% battery if thats a clue (stamina mode on).

I can't agree with this. My SG1, Note 1, Note 2, Toshiba Thrive, Asus TF101, Asus TF201, Asus Infinity, and Acer a700 have never exhibited this behaviour.
There are threads over at the Sony forum as well about this issue. Here is a 14 page thread, mostly devoted to this issue: http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/120222?start=120&tstart=0

It took 48h for my ION to recover, just waiting...
Yea 36 hours for me the one time it happened. Think I was one of the first to have it happen actually. With the Ion being as old as it is I have yet to see a device that was actually bricked. If your patient it will come back.
Finally, after 37h of charge i got the green led, flashed the official ftf and BRING BACK LIFE TO MY ION \o/
See now you are back up and running. Now you can get back in line for the official JB update lol.
Good thing you didnt panic bro to open your x-ion, you just wait. Cause I believe that may cause your warranty to void and go to waste. Patience is virtue!
Damn guys, again my phone is dead, now cuz i'm tried to root the 4.1.2 ROM, but the battery was with 7%. Maybe now the red led can appear faster than before?
Thanks.

A big problem
I don't wanted to open new thread so i will post here.
My Ion is bootloader unlocked and i was flashing a big rom with 30% battery. It didnt't flashed and i tryed to restore the back up and that failed. Now my Ion is dead, it was long connected on wall charger, just red light was constantly burning and after about 10 min it disapeared. Tryed to connect to pc in flash mode or fast boot but it's not going. What to do, i think it's hard bricked
