These is a very simple mod of our Sony Xperia S lockscreen the bar. I have completely removed the icons on the lockscreen bar, dont get me wrong, they are still there, just transparent.
Thus all you need to do is swipe your finger where the slider lies on the screen to unlock or start the camera. This makes the lockscreen more clearer with only the clock visible.
Have fun tricking people who don't know where the bar lies.
I have attached the apk file and a screenshot.
just replace the "UxpNxtLockScreen.apk" ins system/app with the one I have provided. give proper permissions rw-r--r--
Thanks auni, whose work gave me this idea.
v2
Changelog
Now added the complete transparency mod.
The shade in the bottom of the screen is removed.
compare the two screenshots for a better idea.
rename appropriately and follow the same procedure.
anyone problem, feel free to pm me..
How can I get transparent status bar like your screenshot?

Tks mate i get it and really like this lockscreen.
Set transparency to 70% for first mod
And 40% for the second version..
The statusbar then seems transparent in the lockscreen..

open root explorer, copy the file to "\system", and then change the permission like this
after that, move the file to "\system\app", overwrite if necessary
Also works on my ion 3.7

Hi there,
Here are a CRT only mod for XXKI3 and a mod to remove the clock on the statusbar.
This is for stock xxki3
Try at own risk.
copy framework-res.apk to system/framework for crt
copy systemui.apk to system/app to remove clock
Br
Anyone tried this yet?
Ephumuris
I haven't tried this, but I'll be interested in a mod to remove the clock from the notification bar for KH3 or other firmwares. Hopefully by just changing some codes.
Being a little foolhardy and optimistic, I tried the one for I9000 (JPY/JPO) but it gave me a temporary black wallpaper after rebooting. Good thing I did a nandroid backup before that!
Found a thread with info on changing the script--or whatchamacallit--bit I've not dipped my teensy toes in such waters yet.
Its not that hard
You just have to remove some code in the status_bar.xml.
Im on xxki3 right now but I had remove the code in kh4 too.
Im not seeing the clock for months and I like that.
Now there is more space for my statusbar icons.

Yes its for stock ki3

The framework or the systemui?

I have tested it here but it works fine, I got force close but after restart it works fine.
But I have build a new one to make things sure.
Try the framework-reski3crt.rar maybe that will work.
Dont forget replacing framework-res.apk always causes force close!
But after restart it will work fine (most of the times)
regards
Br
still f.c...
This is off topic, but is there a way to add Date beside the time??
i have widget that shows the whole date with agenda, and i have grown bored of it.
author mentioned its just about changing codes in statusbar.xml?
The CRT works after reboot... same with the clock edit after reboot as well =)
THANKS!
Hi guys
I'am wondering how to make transparent pulldown background on 4.0.4 Samsung ics roms for our GS3 ?
I managed to do it properly on GS2 but tried many things from GS2 and it didn't worked, it's all black.
I'am pretty sure that it's a line code color to modify somewhere in SystemUI.apk, but can't find it, unfortunately.
Saw some themes in this section which was included it, so this feature is possible
Any advice or small tutorial is welcomed !
If I find the solution before, I will post it here on this post.
Many thanks! :good:

Thanks for your message.
I replaced 8 matches of "android:background" by #00000000 code color as said in the thread, in "tw_status_bar_expanded.xml" file, and it's still not working, everything is still black.
By the way, why choosing #00000000 color code instead of #00FFFFFF ? this last one is the color code of full transparency.
Just made a new test.
In "res/values/drawable.xml" I changed all "background" and "_bg" values to #00FFFFFF which is the color code of 100% transparent.
Made 2 test flashable zips :
test1 : stock png's = still no transparency
test2 : with my modified transparent png's = still no transparency
I remarked something interesting.
When device comes to homescreen, before it finish loading some widgets, when I try to pulldown notification bar, this one comes transparent like I want at the first centimeters I try to open it, and before coming to the bottom, came black again, and stay black then.
Maybe the source of the problem is somewhere else. I'am using Go Launcher EX, and remember one tips : using high quality drawings can help to get transparency in some cases : not mine. Tried to activate the transparency notification bar : not working.
Any other help would be appreciated.

Systemui from neoV ( blue statusbar)
I hope some people will find it useful.
I've had bad experience with custom recoveries on GPE 5.0.1 that's why I don't give you .zips for flashing. I just don't have them and kinda lazy for creating them. Just replace needed files in /system/ folder and set rw-r--r-- .
Path for SystemUI.apk - system/priv-app/SystemUI/
Path for googledialer.apk - /system/priv-app/GoogleDialer
Path for framework-res.apk - /system/framework
Mods:
1. Disable sound when you press volume buttons (SystemUI.apk)
2. 1st mod + centered clock in status bar. (SystemUI.apk)
But centered clock has side effect. You're able to see notifications in status bar on lock screen. And they overlap carrier text. So, I moved carrier to the center. See screenshot for better understanding.
3. Decrease dialpad vibration. I've bought my moto just when motorola had started to sell it so I assume first ones have really heavy vibration. So, here is my fix for that. (GoogleDialer.apk)
4. Don't show audio becoming noisy dialog + removed all warning battery level dialogues (framework-res.apk)
Merry Christmas guys!
All files you can find in files.zip. Please don't flash it cause it's waste of time.
I liked thanks

Centered clock but with some changes on lockscreen:
- no carrier text

take default untouched SystemUI.apk. Open it via winrar or winzip (just open. no need to extract) and replace classes.dex with one from my SystemUI.apk
Move to res\layout and do the same with recents.xml.

the framework is for activate ambient display and rotation on all directions and porting just those features individually to each device i will take me anwhile
as for the xperia home took me an wgile on researches lol
depending which resolution you have
for example
you must edit:
values-sw360dp-v13 /dimension.xml /
<dimen name="icon_image_size">64.0dip</dimen>
(still you will need to decompile your framewok-res.apk and change that lines in same dimension.xml)
as for the apptray
<dimen name="stage_icon_image_size">64.0dip</dimen>
that line
recompile done
