I noticed that the extended multi-window feature on this rom does not allow me to split the screen with any apps (out of the ones that I have) other than the native apps that were able to do it with the OTA update. I can add as many apps to the mutli-window menu, just cannot split the screen. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there is a known way to fix it. Much credit to scott for creating this rom though... everything else seems to work fine. It's really fast! Thanks for any and all help!

I've experienced some issues with some of the 23 Toggle Mods that are out there breaking the multiwindow functionality for the ones you manually add to the mwc app. The only way I was able successfully fix it was to do a dirty flash of the ROM again. Sometimes you may get lucky by removing and re-adding the apps but that didn't work all the time for me.

So I did the dirty flash and multi window worked. I just can't seem to get both multi window and the 23 toggles to work together.

Has anyone been able to get either of these apps to install AND function properly on our phone?
I was able to get SMemo installed, and I could open it, but as soon as I clicked the icon to create a new note it would FC...
Maybe someone could port or grab the S3 version and modify it to our screen size?

So I was able to get SMemo Lite working from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687243&page=3
This allowed me to "write" in apps that allow it such as My Story. However, it didn't give me the actual SMemo app. I assumed since I could now write, if I installed the app it would work...not so. It installs, but FCs everytime I open it. Anyone have any more progress than this?
I am running stock, rooted FE22 with TW5.
So is nobody else interested in getting SMemo to work?

Rooting an android is almost second nature to me? I've only had HTC phones which i always rooted, but the SGN2 is such a great phone right out of the box, that i have yet to find a reason to root it yet. What was everyone's motivation to root? In our current development stage, what will be my benefit in rooting? All opinions welcome, and thanks

THIS.
Plus JellyBomb fixed one of my biggest problems with the Note II, and that was that none of the Quick Settings in the Notifications dropdown were useful for me. With Jellybomb, I can put more useful settings in the Notifications dropdown, and remove the ones I don't find useful.
I also have a custom boot animation. I didn't like the stock Sprint one.
There's also Titanium, which allows me to backup all my applications to my SD card in case I need to reformat my phone, make sure I have a backup of an app that might get pulled from the Play Store, or just back up the app for whatever reason.

Can someone please mod the NFC.apk for the NOTE II US Sprint to allow screen off NFC to function?
Its working on the S3 and so much more convenient. I found a mod for the Note II but it does not work screen off only at the lock screen.
the NFC.apk is attached.
I'm just getting started with NFC tags, and i agree that this would be REALLY useful. Anyone have the know-how to make this happen?
it is so insanely inconvenient to have to turn the stinking phone on to use tags that I am at the point where if I found instructions I might try and make a go of making the changes myself
This would be nice to have. Hopefully someone can help.

Jelly Bomb has this built in. I tried pulling the Nfc.apk from the 10.20 build and putting it on my own deodexed LJC rom but it didn't allow nfc with the screen off.

Download xposedintaller.apk from this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401 and install. Launch the Xposed Installer and click on "Install/Update". Reboot.
Then go to this website http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/forums/xposed_framework_mods/ and download nfc lockscreen off enabler. Rename .zip to .apk and install. When you get a notification about enabling the modification (after the APK is installed), tap that notification, and enable the plugin by ticking the box. Reboot and enjoy!
Check out the other mods from the villain site and I highly recommend downloading xposed app settings. Enables you to change dpi of any single app + tablet mode! Just remember to change .zip to .apk and install it.

Thanks! This worked to allow nfc on lock screen but not while screen is off. Still a big help though.

Will this work with stock rom? I tried installing the xposed framework, nfc module, reboot, but doesn't read NFC will locked or completely off.
negative. exposed nfc module does NOT work on the Sprint Note II
Isn't nfc being disabled while screen off a security feature?

True, but when rooted, you still have control of what apps you install. This mod would expose you to random strangers trying to steal your data.
Rooting is like looking a hole in your firewall and putting a gate up. This is like telling the firewall altogether.
But hey to each their own
swyped all these spelling errors from my galaxy note 2
the only relevant security for NFC is that you have to be within 1 INCH (maybe 1.5" if you REALLY line it up right)
if your close enough to be a threat to my security with NFC your also close enough for me to be a very relevant and serious threat to your physical safety as I "investigate" why your lining a phone up within 1 inch of my phone in my pocket.
SO security? non issue. period.
and anyway in the future it should not be hard for dev's to enable whitelisting so only "certain things" can be done without user interaction.
this was an issue with cards before the feature even came to the phones... you never had to turn on your nfc debit card, why don't THEY have security issues?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
because THE RANGE IS ONE INCH
if your close enough to scan it that by definition means you have physical possession of it which means security is irrelevant.
this is not like bluetooth that you can pump up the power and fine tune a receiver and do it from 30ft away. or even 10ft.
1 inch. less distance than the length of your pinky finger.
again if they are that close there are OTHER issues at play folks hehehe

Can you give me a logcat? I don't use the stock keyboard but i did use it to setup my device and didn't no force close. And my device isn't slow, ive been running this build for almost a week now.
Probably was removed with debloating. Change to another keyboard if one is there. I did the same thing while debloating stock modified 4.3 a few days ago and swype was there to switch to in settings. FC's stopped. It seems real slow because of the keyboard FC'ing.
i flashed another rom. because it was super lagging. and i couldn't even setup my google account. i wish i could so something about it. but cuz i don't have keyboard no google acc. i really appreciate ur fast reply

Like the previous post stated, it was slow because of the keyboard force closing. I guess I'll make a backup in recovery and flash it myself and see if I can reproduce the issue.

I just flashed the Infamous GE 4.4.2 Rom on my tmo S4 and keep getting this error message when my phone boots:
"Unfortunately SAPedometerSettingProvider has stopped"
I'm also unable to install the Samsung App Store app or get notifications on my watch.
I also got an error message about this app that is not found or can't run:
com.samsung.android.notiprovider..... (don't remember the rest, but looks like the notification service)
I'm guessing that i'm missing some samsung bloatware but not sure.
Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?
Would returning to the stock firmware possibly fix this?
Some custom roms like Wicked 10 support using galaxy gear. I'd flash one of those if I had galaxy gear.

I just read the thread and they say it syncs with the phone (which the infamouse GE kitkat ROM also does) but some of the apps i want like svoice and notifications don't work and won't work because of the framework.
so i guess the best option to get everything working is the stock ROM?
Anyone know how to fix this on the custom roms?
