I have rooted and flashed CoreDroid rom now, but when I use the apps to open Youtube and game like "Jewelw Star", my One X freezed and started to reboot. Do anyone know the reason, and please suggest what can I do now. I once want to restore to the official HTC rom of One X, but I can't find it here, anyone can help? Thanks a lot!

firstly did you backup your previous rom once you rooted? if not for future reference make sure you do backups my friend. go into settings-battery and untick fastboot. then come out and reboot and see if that works.
other option you can try is clear the cache and data of the apps that cause you problem. settings-apps click on the app that you want to clear cache and data and then force close and reboot.
not sure about flashing official stock roms on the HTC. i just made sure i had my stock rom that came with the phone all backed up. but check into the development section and there are guides that would help you with that if that is the last cause of action mate

Thanks a lot, but the two options you provided can't fix my One X's error, still rebooting, just have downloaded the file "RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_hTC_Asia_HK_1.26.708.2_Radio_1.1204.90.13_release_251215_signed.exe" but don't know how to flash this "exe" file, can you show me how... Here is a list of all the apps that come on stock roms. It's main use will be determining which apps are safe to remove.
Although this is a solid starting point, a lot more information still needs to be added. I am going to need help from other members of the community to complete this.
Please PM me regarding any additions/changes. If anyone wants to become a regular contributor I will happily give them editing rights as well.
I am aware that there is a similar list here. Originally I started adding to that list but sadly I lost interest when some of my entries were deleted. As the OP didn't respond to comments about limiting editing rights I thought I would start fresh.
Always perform nandroid and app backups before deleting any apps. Although I have done this to the best of my ability I cannot guarantee that all the information is 100% accurate.
I personally do a nandroid backup straight after installing a new rom and before I flash anything. I also backup all my user apps and system apps with TB. When I decide to remove an app I first delete it's data, then freeze it. I carry on using the phone for a day or so to test the effects. If everything's good I finally uninstall it.
If you are going to ruthlessly uninstall system apps it is also a good idea to copy the System/App folder to your SD card first. This way, if you need to restore an app you can copy it back from your SD card to the System/App folder with Root Explorer. Remember you will need to first mount as r/w, then copy the app, long press the app to set it's permissions as Owner Read, Owner Write, Group Read, and Others Read, and finally restart.

Edit: I am not personally maintaining this list anymore. I have made it so that anyone can edit it. If it gets messed up I am sorry, but it won't be my doing as I don't even own an S3 anymore.

Dead here also....Although work browser may be blocking link will try at home later
Whats the situation with backing/restoring up system apps with TB? I know the process is the same but is there anything I need to be aware of? other than NOT deleteing required apps of course....
Weird that the link is being temperamental. I have changed it slightly in the OP, hopefully it will behave for everyone now. The same new link is here.

I personally do a nandroid before I flash anything. That means I get a fresh nandroid backup every 2 days or so. With regards to TB, I backup all apps (system and user). When I decide to remove an app I first delete it's data, then freeze it. I carry on using the phone for a day or so, and then if everything's good I uninstall it. This is the method I have used in working out whether a lot of apps are safe to remove. Just because I came across no issues in my day or two of testing does not mean no issues exist though.

Good man, wasnt 100% sure as never normally stick with stock roms in order to have to uninstall, didnt fancy borking up the phone in the first day however.
Ive frozen apps previously but am still always wary about deleting even if no FCs occur cos never totally sure that it wont be required later....
Cheers though for the heads up

As I clearly explained, I realise a thread already exists. I created a new thread as you didn't respond to users concerns about its open nature. I didn't want to put time into a project just to see it accidentally deleted. Instead it was copied without me even being given credit in your first post. Sigh. At least the community can benefit from it, one way or another.

buddy i have given you credit in CELL A1 in the spreadsheet. your name is the first thing people see when they open the spreadsheet. I have also added your name to the post.
with regards to editing rights, I have made it uneditable. If you give me your google details, i'll make you an admin on the spreadsheet. thanks buddy
As I said... a reference in your first post to where you got all the information (i.e. here) would be the decent thing to do.
I'm going to continue updating my spreadsheet for personal use. I just don't trust using one that can be edited by anyone. That's nothing personal to you, its the accidental errors by others that I don't trust. Seeing as that's the case I may as well leave a link to it here on XDA.
Edit: I know this post makes no sense now. This is because winwiz edited the previous post, rather than writing another. Sorry for his noobish ways.
Hello I've been using AOSP rom for while and after flashing into stock based rom. The TB backup is not working the error message it keeps saying is "The Current backup location ("/storage/extSdCard/download/titaniumbackup") cannot be accessed.
Can anyone help about how to solve this problem ?
/storage/extsdcard is the filepath stock uses. for aosp you need tibackup to look in /storage/sdcard1
edit: i misread your post, sorry. it does seem like it's going to storage/extsdcard/download though, is that where you normally store your titanium backups? that may be your problem

Have you tried having tb search for the backup location from within preferences?

Just open tibu, hit the menu button, Preferences, backup folder location, hit the back button until you see storage, find ext card (or whatever the name is where your backups are located), scroll down until you find the titanium backup folder, hit use current. Done...

This did not work for me...once back in the main tb window I get the same error "location cannot be accessed"
I tried getting TB to detect the backup which it did fine...but going back to the main window it shows a big red cross on "backup folder" and also the "location" error
I'm using hellybean 4.2 with cwm touch 6.0.2
I'm having the same issue restoring a nandroid backup
I've just run a backup to test...cwm reports it stored on /sdcard
but total commander reports it at being at /data/media and no sign of it at /scard, /sdcard/0 or /storage/emulated/0?????
I have posted a thread in Q+A here if anyone can help I'd be very grateful

I found this thread through Google search, since I was having the same problem on my Sprint GN2. I rebooted into recovery, fixed permissions, and the problem went away.
My apologies if this info is available elsewhere - I just figured other people might find this thread the same way I did, and would like a possible solution without having to comb through fifty threads to find it.

If you can't see fix permissions in philz recovery, you can try an app which you can find on play store named "fix permissions". it did the same thing as the option on recovery. If this not help, try to go on option "mounts and storage" in recovery, and mount sdcard1. This will surely help (hopefully) !!

This didn't work for me anyone else have any ideas? I'm running Verizon galaxy note II i605 with 4.4.2 stock ROM rooted. tested the rooting, all good there, fixed permissions in TWRP and still have the red x and backup directory not available when I go into Menu/Preferences/back up folder location to change the location no matter what location I pick it says This folder is not writable?
Uninstall titanium, then reinstall from the play store.
This is a new kk security feature. If i remember right, apps can now only write to folders they create. Im guessing you're apps and folders were installed while on 4.3 and thus they did not claim the folders they need the way they must now do on kk. Thats my basic understanding of it anyway. I hope this helps.

Yes its a bug, see here for fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572354
FYI:
If you have your midroUSB connected to your computer while launching and working with Titanium Backup, you will get the "cannot access" backup dir error.
Simply unplug from the microUSB and try again.
I have to bump this thread as I am encountering this problem.
Running a new clean install of AICP rom, Titanium Backup is the only thing I've installed from Play Store.
When I go into Preferences, detect the backup location, and then select it, Titanium Backup FCs.
Tried fixing permissions from recovery as suggested and it still didn't work, still FCs.
Has this happened to anyone recently?
maybe try a re-install from DL folder ? has happened to me when restoring apps from tibu. and re-install and works for me. just an idea. ¿
"all i can really do is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
I could not get any of the above solutions to work for me. I am running DOK2 5.1.1 lollipop.
What worked for me is going into TB> menu> preferences>backup folder location.
Above the " DETECT!" button is a Storage Provider hyperlink-- select it.
Select the appropriate file management system and voila!
Hopefully it works for you all.
I've looked through the forums for hours now and according to the noob video made by xda. I'm asking for help. I have an at&t Samsung galaxy s3 with the CyanogenMod installed (as the title implies) and to be honest its not worth the hastle. I'm having problems left and right. First off, the camera app that comes with the phone is missing. Or if theres a custom one. Its not included. I'm aware that I can find and install an external apk but I'll get to the problem with that in a bit. I followed very detailed instructions on installing the cyanogenmod and gapps and everything was fine (stable version) but the notifications suggested I update the mod so I did. Now I have the camera but my play store will not work. It opens for a split second then closes. Also, the file manager is gone. So I downloaded multiple file managers and it seems after first use that they can no longer open anything. I can't even access the files. I checked the superuser allowed and disallowed apps and everything seems fine. Now with the apk problem. Almost any apk I download will not install on my phone. Sorry for the erratic problems just jumbled everywhere in this post but I'm using my phone to write this so its a bit difficult to organize. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. A link to a post already like this (which I couldn't find) or a link to a tutorial maybe or troubleshooting these problems. I will delete this post as soon as I find a solution so I don't use up space on the forums with a somewhat personal problem. Thanks in advance!

Go in application settings and delete your play store's data/cache. That should fix it.
Without it, it's kinda hard to install apps unless you sideload. If you do sideload, you need to allow it in your settings (security I believe).
if you're using the stable version of CM
you might have to go to Date & Time setting
and fix the date on there in order to make play store works
and everything you say about camera, it is weird indeed because not only CM, every rom out there should include a camera app
if that problem still exists for you, you might want to clean/wipe everything, from cache to system and then flash the rom again
Thank you guys. I tried wiping the cache and it still didn't work. I don't mind side loading which is what I've been doing but its not ideal. I can only search for the exact app(s) I want rather than exploring via play store. Also, you guys didn't mention the problem with the file managers not working after first try. If you have any feedback it'd be great. I would like to keep the cyanogenmod but its just not worth the time and effort (opinion). If I can't fix the problem or find a solution I'll just go back to my phones stock UI because even though I think flashing ROMs is awesome. It really isn't worth frustrating myself with something that's an option and not a necessity. Thanks in advance for feedback.

the file manager part is really weird.
if you clean install, especially the stable version, everything should works just fine
however, it sounds like bad install though
how about this this
Download Titanium Backup and wipe data + cache for file manager only and see if it works
if not, try the longer way
download stock att rom(4.1.1)
go to recovery, wipe everything
go to download mode
flash stock rom with odin
restart to recovery, wipe dalvik and cache
root the phone
Re-Download CM10 stable
go to recovery, wipe everything, including System
flash cm10
reboot and see if everything works
Yeah I've tried a factory reset. It only deleted my user data not really resetting the phone. Thank you pcchano (sorry if I got name wrong) I'll try and erase everything and reinstall from scratch but its not my first time using custom ROMs so I'm sure I did it right but I'll give it a go. Also, someone told me that I need to completely wipe any data associated with Google wallet before I root or else play store will not work. Has anyone tried out this theory or know anything about it? It doesn't make sense to me seeing as wallet is saved server side beside the basic user data stored on the phone. But please let me know. You guys are all very helpful thanks for the feedback.

Also, I've never had to wipe dalvik before? Could that be my problem? I also noticed that when I updated cm the info panel said 'experimental' even though I chose the stable version to start with? Could some of these problems be associated with cm rather than blaming it on my phone? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

i have like 2 s3 using CM10 stable version and no problem with it (other than the play store wouldn't connect due to the date in setting wasn't correct) while I myself am using CM10.1 and other than the bugs that come with CM10.1 or google source code, it is a functional rom
so i would rather say, it is your phone
and you should always wipe dalvik cache along with cache partition before flashing new rom.
OK pcshano thanks very much. I'll just erase everything and start from scratch. Thanks everyone who helped me. This forum and you people are awesome. I'll delete this post as soon as I reinstall the ROM to make sure it worked. Thanks again!

The stable cm is of the 10 variety. The experimental builds are 10.1 if I'm not mistaken. In which case you should only need to flash the appropriate gapps package to get the play store functioning and camera as well. The file manager issue I don't know beyond the external sd card being a bit sketchy on 4.2 builds. Are you using an external sd card? Start with a fresh flash of 10.1 if you want to go with that, flash a 4.2 gapps zip and see what happens from there.

Hey all so I flashed from stock to LiquidSmooth recently and am just wondering if there are any apps left over that I can remove using TIBU? I see a huuuuuuuuuuge list of apps with a gray name and line through them, should I just leave those there?
I already read this thread on apps to remove but that's for a stock GS3 and the apps on that list are the same as I mentioned above with the gray line/name.
I'm sorry in advanced if this is a pointless question or if I was just too lazy and missed a thread that answers this question(I tried to look!)
EDIT: One more question, for some reason I can't receive MMS, everytime I get one sent to me it tells me "message could not be downloaded", anyone have an idea?

Titanium Backup holds all your backups in it's database (that's kind of the point). Below is a summary of the various types of backups:
RED TEXT: These are system apps currently installed. These are items that you probably don't want to backup/restore across various ROMs, as they will most-likely have inconsistent formats and might cause issues.
GREEN/YELLOW TEXT: These are Titanium-Backup controlled system settings. You most-likely will be ok backing-up/restoring most of these across ROMs. I honestly don't know the difference between green and yellow, but be careful when restoring a 4.1.x settings to a 4.2.x ROM.
WHITE TEXT: These are non-system apps that are currently installed. For the most part, you shouldn't have any problem restoring these backups to a new ROM.
CROSSED-OUT APPS: These are apps that you had installed and backup up on a previous ROM, but now do not have installed. This is what you're seeing and asking about freezing.
As a summary of the above: The gray crossed-out apps are not currently installed in Liquidsmooth. You don't have to freeze them, because they're not there. In fact, you probably shouldn't restore most of them, because Liquidsmooth is not running Touchwiz and any Samsung apps that you've backed-up will not work on the AOSP framework.
Now, in terms of MMS sending/receiving. This is a known bug in 4.2.2 ROMs, but a solution has worked for some (myself included). The method includes re-installing the APN file in your phone. In my thread (so many replies!), I share my fix of it, as well as two other APN files that people have had success with. The original fix is found in this thread (I linked it in my post). Just follow those instructions and it should (hopefully) work with your mms woes.

Thanks for the TIBU info it helped a lot
As for your mms fix, I had already given the other methods a go and just now tried yours but to no avail, nothing is working for me. Just now I tried the Go SMS fix and it works(hardly a fix in my opinion) but I don't want to use go sms so this continues to frustrate me
EDIT: I'd like to add I also tried to use mms.apk from blackbean7 but that didn't work either. Could it be on sprints end? I'm scared to call since I'm not on stock. I guess there's no use in talking about it here
EDIT 2: I switched my mobile networks to cdma/evdo from LTE/cdma/evdo and my mms started to send..I hate technology sometimes
