I'm running ParanoidAndroid from Floatshow and there is an option for changing the functionality of the sofkeys built in.
But there is no Option for launching an App..
Is there any APP or ROM that can do that ?

Try in the market "App name editor"

Rite sort of thing but I want to change the app name entirely, i know you can do it in go launcher etc but can it be done on the rom directly.
It can be done, can't remember how but it affects updates etc to the app, so once the name has changed you won't be able to update.

Hi,
Im using the latest miui x rom with ncx kernel and wondering is there a way to disable swipe to wake feature?
Thanks

why would you want it disabled?
Because i like to put my hands in my pants pocket and it keeps vibrating. So it would be more power saving if i disable it

Hi, I was just wondering if there is any chance to get CM10.1 messaging working on a sense rom? Don't really like the HTC messaging app, and haven't found anything nearly as good as the cm messaging app on play store.
Thanks!

Extract the .apk from a CM based ROM and place it in /system/app/.
It should work after a reboot.

Nope, the app just force closes.

Sorry, I think that is the only way. You're stuck with the old messaging mate.

I've recently installed some skins and tried few. The problem is that I'm not able to remove any of downloaded skins (they aren't shown in Settings). They were installed as apk - those ones installed through Google Play are already removed through Play.
How can I remove them?
Stock T-Mobile ROM, JB.

I had similar trouble myself back in the day... I think it was a file manager of some sort that allowed to uninstall the skins... Astro file manager!
Try clicking on the apk again, does it allow uninstalling?

Unfortunately, it only asks me to reinstall the skin. Nothing more can be done this way.

How about astro? It comes with its own app manager, you should try it.

It doesn't help. The only place where I see these skins is Personalization -> Skins menu. Long pressing on them does nothing.

Well then I'm out of ideas... Factory reset is one solution. Rooting another.

Yep, those are the only ways ! No other options available .. sorry
