Anyone point me in the rite place for a mod that lets me change the app names on scene 4.

Try in the market "App name editor"
Sent from my HTC One X
Rite sort of thing but I want to change the app name entirely, i know you can do it in go launcher etc but can it be done on the rom directly.
It can be done, can't remember how but it affects updates etc to the app, so once the name has changed you won't be able to update.

I was wondering if it's possible rockt get the default android launcher on my DZ? I've already tried launcher pro and ADW and while both of them are pretty neat I'd like to at least have the option to use and test it for comparison...

Cool, thx!
Do I have to root my phone for this? Well, to move the launcher to system obviously, but for using the launcher itself I don't, do I?
you shouldnt have to
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I've tried to install the launcher using the app manager I got the simple message telling me "application not install" (something like that, I translated from German).
Is this a sign of a corrupted app or that I have to root my device or is this non-compatible with 2.2.1?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
you have to follow this instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9306925&postcount=552
your goin to have to be rooted to do this :/
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I'll have to downgrade my DZ before I can root, so I'll need to look into backup options first.
Thanks for your help guys!

Yes HTC has a Weather live wallpaper but it may wont work on stock sense 4A because is a lite version of sense 4 also you can't apply because on sense 4A you dont have live wallpaper picked app

It wont work because you are using stock Rom sense 4A ( sense lite) and the sense 4A is missing some apps one of them is livewallpaperpicke so is no way to get this app in you stock sense sorry you have to rooted and add this live wallpaper picker or use another sense rom with live wallpaper enable

I signed the apk, you can install it like a normal apk; see whether your app can pick the LWP.

You need something like this for select live wallpapers
Sent from my HTC One V using xda app-developers app
Just installed "live wallpaper picker" from Play Store, it can pick-up the LWPs; but not sure this is because of my custom rom allow this. Just give it a try whether it works for stock rom.

But there is no Option for launching an App..
Is there any APP or ROM that can do that ?

I've recently installed some skins and tried few. The problem is that I'm not able to remove any of downloaded skins (they aren't shown in Settings). They were installed as apk - those ones installed through Google Play are already removed through Play.
How can I remove them?

I had similar trouble myself back in the day... I think it was a file manager of some sort that allowed to uninstall the skins... Astro file manager!
Try clicking on the apk again, does it allow uninstalling?

Unfortunately, it only asks me to reinstall the skin. Nothing more can be done this way.

How about astro? It comes with its own app manager, you should try it.

It doesn't help. The only place where I see these skins is Personalization -> Skins menu. Long pressing on them does nothing.
