Why don't you flash it through fastboot? No USB?
Sent from my i9250
I don't need this now, but I know it's the most stable kernel, so I wanted it to flash with all my roms.

You'll most likely break stuff if you flash stock kernel+ramdisk on certain (if not all) custom ROMs.
You want stable, stick to full stock.

I had a flashable zip for 4.1 and it's also on the leankernel forum. So I know it's possible.

please re-read my previous post;
i wrote: "on most (if not all) custom roms".
if using a custom kernel+custom rom, go back to the ROM's included kernel (grab it from it's zip), not to stock kernel.

its pretty hard not to find a rom nowadays that doesn't have it baked in. but if you do here is a link to a flashable a2sd zip that will add it to any rom. also if a rom has it baked in and you flash the a2sd zip it won't mess anything up so you don't have to worry about it.
here is the flashable a2sd(use the beta 04):http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715938

You can, but with my ROM, you won't need to . It's already included.
But one thing to note is that a2sd won't work on any ROM - the boot.img needs to be modified for it to work.
heres the stock kernel and modules for those who wanna revert after flashing a custom kernel
you know what to do (i think)

Would this kernel be the same across the board? I was thinking of reverting to the stock kernel as well.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm also using Asian version and wondering about this as well. I kind of assume that since the custom kernels work across geography, the stock kernel is the same.
thank you man
Iam using an arabic stock rom and I try it and its work great
I don't suppose you have the same for 2.17 stock Kernel please
Just recently rooted my One X, still on stock ROM and now I'm thinking on changing only the kernel.
If anything goes wrong, I'm reverting to stock kernel again.
Thank you for the files!

These are CWM flashable zips of the stock TW JB kernels...
I made these so users don't have to reflash their whole rom.
These will possibly work with any of the other JB leaks. (I know UVLI6 can use UVLI7 kernel & vise-versa)
Enjoy!

Possibly... If it's a kernel related issue. These JB kernels are compatible with each other. So just nandroid and give it a try.

They are just the stock kernels. No extra features are added in. Its for the people who uses ktoonsez kernel and want to switch back without reflashing their whole ROM.

They are totally stock kernels. Mostly for people who flash a custom kernel then want to return to stock kernel without having to flash their ROM all over again.

Put back your device to stock with a RUU, then unlock bootloader and flash a CWM recovery then install the Superuser... you will have a rooted stock Rom with stock kernel.
Or restore your nandroid backup, flash the stock kernel and put in the Superuser.. you will have the same thing.
Please ask all questions in the Q&A section. Thread moved there.
Can I flash roms from different bases, MA7,LK8,CM by just flashing the appropriate rom. In goomanager it has the option to browse compatible roms and I read in the instructions for one of the MA7 roms to make sure you had the compatible rom base. What if I want to switch from Jellybomb to MacksRom for instance. Can I download the rom and use TWRP to flash the new rom?
