I have a lot of photos that contain GPS information, However, when selection view by LOCATIONS in gallery (Note 2), none of the photo locations show on the map. This function works on the HTC EVO LTE.
Anyone else used the Gallery's Location view?

I have set the photo album as a widget on 1 of my homepages, and whilst it shows any pictures ive taken, it doesnt show any videos. To view the videos you have to actually go into the app, change folder and locate the videos manually.
Is there any way to get the videos to appear in the widget? or does anyone know of a better 'media' widget similar to the photo album
thanks
Navigation 3DX - Augmented Reality app on the iphone uses the camera and compass to take you to any location you point at on the map (if you're in a location but don't know which way to walk to get to your destination), by showing a floating arrow over the camera that you follow.
Is there a similar type of app for the Galaxy S.
It doesn't have to be so high-tech, all I really want is to be able choose a location or POI on a map and need to Galaxy S to take me there using a point and walk method.
Perhaps Layar??
I think what your looking for is wikitude drive, it was a beta on the market but is now closed I have the apk but I get rejected from the server when trying to search an address
Did you try AugSatNav?
Having played around with various apps to lock or hide pictures in the phone's gallery and found them somehow lacking I've discovered that if you edit a photos properties on the PC and make it 'hidden' when you sync it then it will not show up in the phones picture gallery.
However I have no experience in developing apps so maybe this info would be of use to someone who knows how to exploit it.
Hi all
I have a quick question with regards to Geo Tagging.
When I take a photo on my phone, I have it set to Geotag its position. The tag is definitely saved within the file as when I export it and look at the properties the location information gives the coordinates. What is strange is that the inbuilt gallery app does not seem to want to plot the photos. It is very selective on which ones it plots.
I have imported photos from my iPhone and saved them on to my memory card. It has plotted some of the photos, but not all. Likewise, earlier, after taking a few pictures I looked at the location view in the gallery and found that it had not placed any of the photos on a map.
I have cleared the cache on the photo app but this does not seem to solve the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas?
SOLUTION: update to OxygenOS 3.1.3 or higher

hi, I have a OP3, but in the app "google photos" and in the "gallery" only the pictures shot with my OP3 are showing, including screenshots.
So I'm missing my whatsapp pictures (using GBwhatsapp) photos stored in: internalStorage/GBWhatsapp/media/GBwhatsappImages
als missing downloaded pictures (download with chrome & slimsocial app), phones stored in:
internalStorage/pictures
internalStorage/Download
I've read that more people can't find their photos (download or from other apps) in the Google photo's app,
If I look in device folders I only see my screenshot.
Are there more people with this problem? or Am I doing something wrong?
In the past I used QuickPic, I tried that and it's working fine, displays all my pictures/videos!
But I prefer google photo, so I'd rather have that working.
No one with the same problem?
Open menu in Google Folders on the side, and choose: local folders.
does it help?

Click to collapse
No, it only shows the screenshots I took. no downloaded images
I updated to OxygenOS 3.1.3 and the problem is fixed
