SAY WHAT?

Maybe a mistake when making the other thread that was related to the link and just pasted the link or just trolling
Sent from my LG-P500 running 4.2.1

Minor OP mistake, no big deal guys! This is nothing new, you can simply extract the file he's talking about from any stock T989 ROM.
You can get any stock app, although the directory is 'app' instead of apps if looking in the .zip file: Stock_ROM.zip/system/app.
Also note, some Touchwiz apps may not work on non-Touchwiz based ROMs.

I just extract the latest from the frequently updated JustinBean thread HERE
and manually put them in the system/app folder. Easiest with root explorer and it is free. Do not forget to set the right permissions!

Would they work on TW based roms?

[ROM][JB] Link to OFFICIAL AOKP Nightly (Maguro and Toro)

FIRST OF ALL, ALL THE CREDITS GO TO TEAM KANG, NOT ME. I AM NOT EVEN A DEVELOPER. I'M JUST A GUY WHO WANTS TO SHARE THIS AMAZING ROM.
This is the official nightly from AOKP team. Team Kang did all the work for this ROM.
Features:
Notification Toggles
Circle MOD
Overclock upto 1.8GHz
AOKP Boot animation
Lockscreen option (Volume wake, Lockscreen wallpaper, Quick Pin Unlock)
Navigation Bar customization
LED Control
Clock control
Battery Bar (MIUI Style)
Theme Chooser Built In
I will update the features if Team Kang releases new updates
Here's the link to Maguro: http://androtransfer.com/?developer=AOKP&folder=maguro
Here's the link to Toro: http://androtransfer.com/?developer=AOKP&folder=toro
Here's the link to Gapps: http://androtransfer.com/?developer=Gapps
Instructions:
Download the right ROM for your phone
Download Gapps
Move them to GNex's internal storage
Boot into custom recovery
MAKE A BACKUP!
Do factory reset/wipe
Clear cache
Clear dalvik cache
Flash the ROM
Flash Gapps
Reboot
Enjoy!
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I will be glad to help. But remember that I am not the developer of this ROM...
I found this ROM to be very stable and very smooth/fast. I found little to no lag with CPU overclocked to 1.4GHz.
Enjoy and remember, I will not be responsible for any issues.
Kernels that I recommend
Also, If you're interested in another kernel (For some reason), I highly recommend Trinity Kernel, although I never tried Franco Kernel...
Here's the link to Trinity Kernel: http://derkernel.com/jb-tuna.php
My favourite are the Faux kernels...i think this is the best choice fast,stable,customizable...
I think Franco,Trinity,Fugumod have some bug and my AOKP rom isn't butter smooth with them....

It will, or should download just fine from the phone. The progress bar likely wont work and you might get an .htm file instead of .zip, just rename it.

It's most likely downloading and just appears to hang.
Had the same issue and it was downloading normally, the progress bar just didn't work.

Thanks for your reply elesbb. I would love to port and make roms for the T989 but I fear beinq experimental. I would not like to brick my phone while i just qot tha Samsunq Galaxy SII in White yesterday. But i was lookinq at the Slim Bean rom on youtube that was recently uploaded and it seems sooo smooth and fast with the Galaxy nexus. I believe that it can run the same or even better with our SII. But if there is a developer that is willinq to port the Slim Bean Rom to our SII's please PM me if you come across this post and i will make the possible to help qet it over to the T989 section. THANKS FOR ALL REPLIES <--- Just for future reference

Well, from my personal experiments, I've ported HD2 ROMs to the s2. Many ran horribly, (being lack of kernel support) but it's almost very unlikely to brick the device by flashing things in recovery. The only way that will happen is by using the wrong flash file script. cause some scripts use different blocks of memory for the system and data partitions, hence why flashing an international s2 ROM will most likely brick our device. But if you use a zip found in the development thread, then extracting replacing and signing the new zip file won't brick the device. Heck I even put HD2 lib and hw files onto the s2. But since the partitions weren't messed up I could always get back to recovery. But I will look into the slim bean ROM. Can you link me to the YouTube video?

Well, ive never used a kitchen to port lol. I just copy system apps and other necessary directories to the appropriate place in the zip file then resign the newly ported zip. Its not easy, well it is if you take your time, but thats the thing, it takes forever but i'll check that out and see what i can come up with. *crosses fingers*
Thank u i really appreciate your effort. I hope somethinq can be made out of this. Finqers crosseddddd

[ROM][Stock] AT&T Jelly Bean 4.1.1 [DLK3][22 Feb 2013]

I noticed that there aren't any recovery flashable stock ROM images available,
(at least that I could find) so I made one.
This is based on stock AT&T Jelly Bean 4.1.1 [DLK3] firmware and is rooted,
busyboxed, deodexed and has init.d support.
Devs and cooks, feel free to use this as a base for your ROMs.
(be sure to give me some credit on your OP)
Install script only wipes cache and Dalvik.
As always, flash at your own risk!!!

Nice Job my friend always good to have a backup stock Rom Thanks for sharing.:good:
thanks bud
Thanks for making a separate thread for this, it's helpful. It should be known that enewman17 has the completely stock rom with root available in his thread as well as that used to be the purpose of his thread before creating his own custom rom in both odexed and de-odexed forms. For those who want the odexed form, please head to his thread. It's probably best to have this thread here separate though as it is easier to find for those who need it.
I searched before posting...I swear!
Also, for everyone I have a bunch of mods posted I'm my thread for use with the stock ROM.
It it's a good idea to have this posted separate, mine are hard to find.

No need to reply to the entire OP...
Thanks for saying something. The Goo file is wrong.
I just checked the MD5 with a utility and the Dev Host file is correct.
I have experienced several problem with files from Goo recently. This is the final straw. I will not host with them again.
Thanks again!

Everyone, if you downloaded the file from Goo please delete it and download from Dev Host.
I hope all of you routinely check the MD5 of your downloads.
There is a free utility here that I use.
Re: [Warning][ROM][Stock] AT&T Jelly Bean 4.1.1 [DLK3][22 Feb 2013]
Sorry for my reply methods, my bad - I posted kind of quick and didn't look back at it afterwards (didn't know it copied the entire first post, I hit reply not quote!). Anyway, I did verify the MD5 after the download and as I downloaded from Devhost first due to the much faster transfer speeds anyway it was good. I just wanted to bring it up while I was thinking about it as I knew something was awry.
Thanks for the hook up on an easy rooted stock flash for us all!

Some of you have expressed an interest in making a donation even though I don't want them (thanks ).
But if any of you have a few bucks to spare, we have a fellow xda member that could really use the money right now.
Please don't post saying that you donated since I don't want anyone to feel obligated to do it, or feel uncomfortable if they don't. Just be happy knowing you helped someone in need. Thanks!

Thank you for the flashable stock rom this is very useful! Could you please upload DLK3 baseband cwm flashable please? I know this baseband improves signal and it was not included in the rom.
appreciate it ! Thanks bud !
On a side note Up,
I got a nice basic ROM done last night and added a few things I figured I could do myself to start out with like AOSP messaging and the remove the wifi notification, few more.
Went to flash and for the "3 args looking for 4" error. So I figured it out that I needed to pull the updated-script from a working ROM and replace the one that was in my ROM. Is this standard. I used this base, so did I do the update-script step incorrectly or miss another step ? Vague question I know... still a newbie haha
