Hellow. I have a problem. Could you help me? I have Nozomi RC1 and when I want to instal RC0-2 in CWM error sign comes up:
Installing /sdcard/cm10....
Finding...
Opening...
Instaling...
Assert failed: getprop("ro.product. device") == "LT26i" getprop ("ro.product.device")...
....
...
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10....
Status 7
Installation aborted.
Help
Remove that from the script file in the zip.. It has been mentioned a couple of times in the CM thread.. If this does not help then search that forum.. You could also have luck in changing the lt26i to Nozomi

So is there a special way you have to flash the rom on the gs3. Everytime I try I get this weird abort message.. I even wiped the cache and factory reset the user data before..
Also, I saved the recovery log of the rom aborting how can I upload it here so you can see it?(I used cwm btw)

There are entirely too many variables for anyone to guess without you providing some useful information. My advice would be to read the OP/FAQ of the ROM you're attempting to flash. If you have questions in your reading, Google searches will almost always yield useful advice.

I am rooted, I have the samsung gs3 for at&t sgh-i747.
Im using cwm and when I downloaded the rom I made sure it was specifically for sgh-i747 and it just says to flash it through cwm. I've tried other roms and the same thing happens..

Looks to me like you need to update your recovery. Either update CWM through ROM Manager or install TWRP using GooManager from the Play Store.

That's exactly what it was.. thanks.
Are those the only two recoveries available for this phone?
On my old phone I had the wcx and I liked it a lot.

To be honest, I'm not sure if they're the only two. They are, however, the only 2 I've ever seen mentioned around here.

Whenever I try to install a custom d2tmo ROM from XDA on my T999v GS3, I get this error:
assert failed: getprop("ro.build.product") == "d2tmo"
E:Error in /emmc/_Download/pa_d2tmo-2.52-27OCT2012-163709.zip

What do I need to do to fix this? I've tried using both TWRP and CWM with the same result. Also I've formated the phone and still no positive results.
moving to right section. I suggest to use search function. Regards,
You need to change your build.prop to reflect a t999, you either flashed a rom from a different section or a Google wallet fix that changed your build.prop probably

How do i do this! sorry, im to new to rooting
Search. Reading is the foundation of knowledge.
They call me "Jelly" cuz jam don't shake like this!
Download ROM manager. Install clockwork.
I'm pretty good at this stuff, but I wouldn't be running the latest cm10 nightly on an island if I hadn't given koush his 5 dollars.
Better than editing build prop

If ur getting error 'status 7' means rom not downloaded properly. Re-download and check rom size original n downloaded. Also check md5 is same.

@ankitshankar, I can't post there because I don't have 10 post's so I have to do it here
@Attitude.SSJ, I am using CWM 5 if I remember correctly, but I don't think that that is problem because I install other rom's without any problem
@pmvyas, I also thought about that, but I downloaded it two times, and both showing same error... I'll try to download it again tomorrow and try
Thanks all for answering
Try cwm 6 once...
