Hey everyone
I just cleaned installed my stock rom due to some issues.
After that I restored with titanium backup as usual.
I had backed up all my user apps and the ones marked in green and yellow like account, blue tooth Pairing and other stuff.
I restored everything.
I had dll4 before and after reinstalling stock rom.
But now I data usage says exynos abuse has used 1.41 gb of data.
I did use it, I am too lazy to start up my beast computer after getting beast phone
Before reinstall fifa 12 had used that much data.
Also after restoration of data some app had crashed until I had restarted my phone. And after reboot titanium backup said that my Android id or something has changed. I told it to revert it.
Now what to do...

I have Titanium backup, but any time I recover apps/data, I often end up in a force-close storm, if not immediately, then eventually. I'd really like to get all my apps back in place without this issue whenever I install a new ROM. There's a whole lot of custom configuration that I have to repeat over and over again. What's worse is I'll first recover all apps/data w/ TB, and then it will work for some time, and then it breaks down into an FC storm and I end up having to install all the apps from market, and reconfiguring everything manually again. Then why did I pay for TB pro?!
What am I missing? Are some apps more prone to causing problems when recovering the old data into a fresh ROM?
I honestly never have your problems. Even data from GB to ICS.
My method is, restore missing apps with data. so that leaves only system apps left. And there isn't much configuration needed with those anyway in my experience.

hmm... that appears to have worked. I must have been reloading system data, and borking the databases by mixing old/new. Thank you very much, sir.
P.S.: Dat ass!
No matter what app you use to restore your list, just restore the apps only, don't restore the data as it usually does not work across different os versions. All you need to do after the apps restore is log into the ones with accounts.. The only time I have had FC issues is if I try and restore data from a previous is version..

Ive never relied on TB but i have used my backup root and i have reloaded apps just fine when it comes to data thats where you can run into FC. I know it sucks dude but when it comes to running ICS a clean install is the way to go apps included . Shortcuts give you problems always

I've tried a couple of backup programs to restore all my data and apps when switching between roms and running into problems. I still haven't gotten one backup program to work yet.
I'm currently on ICS from the Skyrocket ported version I think. I've used TB and Backup to backup all my data and apps.
Luckily I've completely backed everything up using CWR.
Tried switching to Juggernaut rom and used the programs to restore all the data and apps and both programs ran into errors and I couldn't bring back any of my personal stuff.
I do also have a Google account so yes my contacts, calender, etc is backed up that way but it doesn't do the SMS, logs, etc.
I will say it, yes I have downloaded apps that aren't paid for but I doubt that's the issue that it's not working right for restoring. Never had issues with this on my iPhone before switching to my Galaxy S2 T-Mobile.
Any help as to why and how to get some app to work properly so I can switch Roms. This one sucks really bad IMO. There's no tethering, some apps don't work which I can't see anything not working on the S2, and it crashes too much for my liking.
Try titanium backup but remember. If you wipe your SD and internal memory it will be gone.
It could be some apps aren't compatible but all my apps worked.

I would suggest giving ROM Toolbox a shot... although I have never had any issues using Titanium Backup for what you are trying to accomplish. It sounds like something was corrupted during the initial backup process and that is what is preventing the restoration.
Ever since I got my phone onto the Jellybean update I've had Grey signal bars on my phone and have no idea why. I am connected to WiFi and data works just fine, sync is working just fine too. I'm connected to the house WiFi and even that comes up as grey.
I had to do some small things to my phone which may have messed this up slightly to get the Jellybean upgrade. I ahd to reflash stock 4.0.4 via Galaxy Nexus Toolkit because when I got the update message originally I had CWMTouch installed, when the device tried to flash the update CWM said it wasn't a valid file and didn't flash it. My phone then insisted it was up to date until I reflashed. Upon reflashing I didn't go through the normal setup procedure. I skipped adding my Google Account because I knew I ahd a TitaniumBackup to restore from which I thought would restore my account (it didn't... possibly due to JB vs ICS). So I connected the phone to WiFi and let it downladd and install the JB update then ran Titanium Backup and then added my Google Account. Since the JB upgrade its been constant grey signal though. Could adding the google account via settings have messed it up?

what happens when you open gtalk?
also, never use titanium to back up anything but apps and their data. anything system oriented thats backed up and restored will cause these gremlins eventually. what you can do is data wipe(factory reset), sign into your google account, then restore your apps via titanium.

Gtalk shows my contacts list but with everyone offline including me. So yeah looks like **** ain't working... Do I need to reflash or will a data wipe suffice?
In future I'll just restore the Apps using TItanium.

wipe and reflash is usually best.
Just wiping has done the trick. Back to Blue bars.
Just an aside though: Why the hell is everything in the market showing as incompatible with my device? This is stock 4.1.1, rooted and with the DPI reduced to 280 by a build.prop editor. What gives?
Just a quick edit: Decided that I should probably reflash to be safe anyway. Doing that now.

your dpi breaks the market, and some other apps. bring it back to 320 and itll be alright.

Oh ok... makes sort of sense. There's something in JB that has the Market check the DPI before installing. Ok, I'll stick to the default then.
Problem now though: Its not seeing there's an OTA update for it after going back to 4.0.4.
I've been using my phone for quite some time now, Flashing ROMs and all sorts of stuff but one day while i was running on a Darkside ICS (4.0.3) Rom when all of a sudden all of my messages were randomly deleted without my notification and GoSMS was unable to act. I immediately took out my battery and rebooted.Upon doing so i noticed all of my messages were still gone so i just opened Titanium Back Up and then Restored my messages. Shortly after doing that GoSMS froze again(Even the original Messaging App) and all my messages were deleted again.I decided to go back to a older ROM (Paradox II 2.3.6) and went there and restored all my apps and messages..Guess what?Another problem. The Phone and Contacts stopped worked every time i attempted to use it. So after messing with other ROMS(Even Jamieson's JB ROM) i just said screw it and went back to Stock and rooted again. And i once again downloaded my Titanium Backup, Restored Apps, and then Restored Messages and after my messages finished restoring and i attempted to send a messages..GoSMS froze up and forced me to Pull the battery..And it's just been freezing up badly after this. At the moment i did a Darkside Super Cache wipe and is hoping for the best.If this dosen't work then can anyone give me some Help? These Messages and Picture messages are valuable to me and i really wish to keep them..Help?
And now i cannot even attempt to make calls or send a message. It just dosn't go through at all. .

I will definitely tell you it's in you app data...wipe all data to factory fresh and replace apps without data...and do not restore any system apps!i know it's a pain to redo settings but try that...

Oh and the best way to restore is to make a nandroid backup every few days so that way of something happen that would over write everything

From my experiences restoring TI backup apps/data from one version of android to another like ICS to JB, GB to ICS just ends up in total fail in so many ways. Bouncing back and forth like that it's just best to restore with NO data and re-configure the apps which shouldn't take long anyway.. At least a shorter amount of time than banging your head on the desk wondering why your apps keep crashing
Discovered some dead pixel on my screen. Since i'm still unrooted (yeah knox is a pain in the ass) i used Kies 3 to backup my data and go for a replacement. I tried to restore everything from kies then.
So for my surprise Kies simply re installed my apps without data. Twitter, Netflix and every app that needs login information asked me for my credentials. But the worst was that all my games, some Saves with 15 plus hours, i must start from scratch.
I tried to restore a second time without success. Am i doing something wrong? Or this is it? Kies cant backup the data/cache/savegames whatever from the apps? If this is the case, kies is useless.
I've actually been wondering the same thing, been looking for a decent non root backup system, that can take backups of app data (saves, login info, accounts etc)
Anyone?
Looking for an app for this also

Use helium. No root required but requires you connect to pc via USB to enable it on the device. I restored my game and app data with it. Although some apps I noticed still doesn't restore data but it's like only 2 to 3 apps out of my 50 so apps.
