[Q] How to get nexus to work again? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Basically, I have nothing on my Galaxy Nexus (rooted and unlocked), no ROMS no backups, nothing. I've been trying absolutely everything and I don't know how I could get it to work. I have ClockworkMod Recovery and I've tried wipe data/factory reset then rebooted the system and it still gets stuck on the Google screen with the unlock symbol under it. The backups also don't work (backup, restore, image, restart, stuck on google screen) So... does anybody know what I can do to get past the google screen.
P.S I've tried to connect it to the computer and it doesn't show up in computer/ doesn't install (windows 8) I have the Universal Naked Driver installed and it shows up in devices but when I click it, it just shows the properties.

Just to clarify, have you tried moving a freshly downloaded ROM from a computer to the phone in CWM and flashing the ROM from CWM?

What was the last thing you did on it while it was working? Did it stop working because of damage (drops, water, etc)? If you can't get it to show up on your computer then there is no way to use the toolkit to unroot and wipe. I will be more then happy to try to help you out cause I really hate when things don't work. I'm just not sure what would cause your phone to just... die!

What were u doing when u phone stopped working. Where u flashing a ROM, kernel, installing an app, u dropped it? If u gnex shows up under Device Manager(windows), try with the gnex toolkit to flash stock.

I was flashing a Kernel (just realised now... so it wasn't a ROM) and it just got stuck on the google screen :/ The kernal is still there, I think it's the franco nightly kernel and it's the wrong one, it's for JB when I should have used the ICS one (4.0.4). If you're wondering why I flashed the JB one, it was an accident :/ I had both the kernels and copied the wrong one.
Forgot to add, the device doesn't show up or doesn't get recognised by the toolkit :/

A way to fix it would be to install fastboot on your computer and boot your phone into boot manager and then use fastboot to boot the correct kernel via USB. There are how to's on how to go about this. Once you get it up and running you can figure out what else might be wrong. Not a hard fix, just a little time.

I got it to work! There was something weird going on with the phone connecting to my laptop, basically, it only shows up on one of the USB ports which is.. odd. Anyway I just used fastboot and pushed the correct kernel onto the "sd card" of it. Thanks for everything ^^

Desperate Help Needed!

So I am the proud owner of a shiny, new Galaxy Nexus (GSM). Unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM recovery and was doing great. Today I decided to install the volume fix. Installed the zip through recovery, completed and rebooted. The phone got stuck in a bootloop over and over and over and over and would not boot Android at all. Did a ton of research here and everywhere and, in a panic, I booted into CWM recovery, reset the cache & did a full factory reset. NOW, the phone will not go past the Google bootscreen with the unlock symbol, no matter what I do. AND, I can't even flash the original google image because I can't get in to set USB debugging so my computer won't even recognize the phone (FYI, I'm on a Mac). I am at a complete loss and don't know what to do. If I could only get the computer to recognize the phone I could flash the original google image through Terminal, but alas, I can't. Any ideas? If I can somehow get this phone back up and running I would be eternally grateful. For now, I think I may be SOL. Thanks....
This happened to me, I was not able to solve the issue, even though I could push and pull data to and from the device via ADB. I could still not get past the google logo. I decided to lock the boot loader again and return to the store for a new device.

Galaxy Nexus stuck on Google logo boot loop help [GSM]

I am running the stock rom without root and unlock and I got the 4.0.2 OTA update 3 days ago. Today when I do the pattern unlock my phone froze and reboot. Now I cannot get pass the Google logo boot screen.
I am able to get into the recovery mode but I don't want to do a factory restore as I don't have anything backup yet.
Is there any solution to this boot loop problem? I am surprise that I am getting this problem as I am running the stock rom without any root / mod.
If there is no solution to this, is there any way I can backup my phone before doing the factory restore?
Many thanks!
You can back up via adb. Try searching in the General threads, since there's a long topic on this...
Good luck!
Thanks, I do find information about backup, but I can't find anything regarding the bootloop...
When i got stuck at the Google screen with a bootloop i booted into the bootloader/fastboot screen with vol up+down power and i redid the one click all process and it basically rewiped my device and put it back to working again with unlocked bootloader rooted etc....
All you have to remember is what build number you have and let the toolkit work its magic.

Sorry, forgot to mention. You're probably gonna have to wipe via recovery - which is why I pointed you to a back up...

I can't find a way to backup without going into Android. I can only go to Fastboot Mode.
Anyone know how to backup the file using abd without getting into android?
Why did make 2 threads about this. Unlock the boot loader and use adb to flash your stock. Image files. You will loose all data unfortunately but I think that's the only way to fix it.

Ok I'm stuck with the same problem now. I wanted to flash a ROM, so I downloaded AOKP, flashed it and rebooted and the phone refuses to boot past the Google logo and keeps rebooting again and again. I am able to get into the recovery. I have flashed the ROM several times and its still the same. I have done a complete wipe as well. Still no go.
Fastboot command doesnt work in the bootloader either. I have made sure the drivers are installed, still there is nothing when I type fastboot devices. If I type any fastboot command it just says <waiting for device> or something like that.
Any other suggestions? :-s

AOKP B30 Bootloop, wipe doesnt help

Hi!
Downloaded and clean flashed AOKP B30 and gapps, came from M4. Got into a bootloop. Went into recovery, wiped, still bootloop. Pushed an original image to the phone via Gnex Toolkit. Still bootloop!!
Now I have no idea what to do....
Please help!!
CWM cant find my sdcard either it seems!
If I try going into stock recovery, I get an android with a triangle.
Step 1: Take a deep breath. Your device is fine (although your data is probably gone).
Recovery cannot find /sdcard because there is likely an issue with your data partition, where /sdcard resides. The best thing to do is flash the stock images again. I recommend you do it manually so you can actually see what you are doing, instead of using a toolkit. Follow this procedure and you will be fine. And flash back CWM. (The android you are seeing with the red exclaimation point IS the stock recovery. To access the menu from there, repeatedly press volume up and power until you see the menu.)
Thanks for your help, but it seems the problem was that the phone was connected to the computer. So I probably just flashed stock and wiped my sdcard for nothing. Since everytime it bootlooped, the computer tried to install a driver.
I feel stupid.

[Q] Bootloop even after wiping

Ive tried searching and googling, but couldnt really find an answer to my problem..I have flashed many roms on my HD2, but only 1 on my gnex. I dont know much about using terminal and the adb system..so im quite lost.
sitation:
-when i put my battery in, i can go into fastboot
-if i let it boot, the google logo with the lock at the bottom boots... then it goes to the loading screen... after about 5-10 seconds, it will reboot and repeat.
i have the sdk tools thing installed on my mac. Im pretty sure its installed correctly but im not exactly sure how to use it.I have an old version of gummy (0.9.0?) and have been running it fine for about 2 months. I used the toolkit program to root and unlock it. installed cwm and installed the rom. didnt have any problems until today, i had just sent an email, and then about a minute or two later, the phone restarted and started booting itself over and over.
I booted into recovery and wiped everything and still boot loops. So i wiped everything again and installed the same rom because I don't know transfer through bootloader. still no luck, after leaving bootloader or recovery it will continue to boot loop.
right now i cant reflash to stock because i can't get my phone to connect to my mac.
my questions:
-will i need to reflash my baseband//kernel/recovery?
-either an update of the rom or a new rom would fix this, yes? how do i transfer a new rom to my phone through fastboot?
-Since i dont have access to my pc, can i do this from my mac? How?
sorry to be so newbie, but i really am with the gnex If anyone can please give me a general step by step... i can search how to specifically do each step.. but i just need help figuring out what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

[Q] Stuck in Clockwork recovery -- can't flash roms

Hi there,
I've been trying to fix this issue for a while now and I haven't seen any guides on my particular issue.
Basically what's going on is I tried doing a factory reset on the phone while having cyanogenmod flashed and when it booted, it would keep booting up in the recovery.
There seem to be no backups or roms on the phone.
Now here's the kicker, when I try using the Nexus root toolkit, it doesn't recognize my device whatsoever. I've uninstalled the drivers fully and reinstalled them and still nothing.
When I plug the phone in, it doesn't show up as an external source (other than in the device manager with a "!" by 'galaxy nexus'), so I can't just put a ROM on there and try flashing that.
I'm stuck. I have no idea what I can do to get this back up & running.
It's a GSM phone, being from Canada I believe it to be Yakju...
Anybody have any ideas? I really need this phone to start working!!
Have you tried the method in this tutorial?
you may bring ti back to samsung customer service.
