[Q] Trying to install Photowall apk from the GN2 onto my wife's Nexus - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have the apk from my Galaxy Note 2, but when I try to run it on my wife's Galaxy Nexus it fails to install. I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

most likely it isnt compatible with the galaxy nexus, and it might need some touchwiz framework.

dang.....in my haste to make her happy and surprise, I didn't even think of that reality....
She won't permit me to root and install CM on her phone, but she covets my photowall live wallpaper.
I guess i'll have to hunt down a similar app..

Galaxy S III stock ROM port, possible?

Hey!
I'm really bored with my Galaxy Nexus and I want to know is this possible to port Galaxy S III ROM to Galaxy Nexus like this way:
using Galaxy Nexus ICS ROM IMM76# and removing .apk files, leaving some .apk files what is needed, removing files from /system/framework/, removing files from permission folder in /system/etc/ adding Galaxy S III framework files and adding files to /system/lib what in not in that folder and removing the files which is not compatible for Nexus, e.g. other processor .so files and then removing some files from /system/bin/ and then replacing them and adding files to /system/bin from S III ROM and then adding /sytem/app/ apk files and then adding permission folder and some other files to /system/etc/ and then modifying init.rc
Could it work or what? I don't know how to build ROMs and I can't even do that because I have 32-bit PC not 64-bit what I need, I really want to use many S III ROM apps and features on Galaxy Nexus but nobody has maybe even tried to port S III ROM to Nexus..
Can someone developer try to port S III ROM to Galaxy Nexus?
This question is for Android developers not for normal Android users!
How could you be bored with the nexus

what are you specifically wanting? touchwiz? reason why there isn't as much development for it is because the nexus is a FAST phone, slowing it down with tw would just be counter-productive. s-voice is still being worked on. And both phones using different chipsets mind you

App management / disable ?
Remove the apk from system/app?
Not sure what you mean by disable.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

The same could be said for your 2 posts in here thus far.
Until the OP offers more details, he/she has some working options from which to choose.

It you're not interested in getting rid of the s-not, why are you in a thread that inquires about getting rid of the feature? Your question is irrelevant as the s-note feature is just ONE OF MANY features that people get this phone for. I can't answer the op since we need more details regarding what his true intention is.

You need to install Adblock Plus from adblockplus.org/en/android-install
It's the "hosts" file in /system/etc
raduque is correct in the location, but keep in mind if you reinstall make sure to uncheck ad blocking in aroma else it'll be right back where it was.

Stop what updates?
It prompts you if you'd like to auto update you could have hit yes?
Go into settings and uncheck auto update?

I liked the old play store better because you could see more apps at a time. Tried to uninstall updates but it just reverts back to the new one really fast.

TW rom for Verizon 4.3

After looking, I could not find anything, so maybe someone knows something. I would like to find a TW rom for my Verizon Galaxy Nexus that is 4.3. I have a galaxy gear and I use a GNEX for work, and a S3 for home. I would like to be able to pair my watch with my GNEX without having to root and side load the apks to the watch.
Thanks!

1. There is no touchwiz for any tuna phone. (There was for maguro but it wasnt stable).
2. If you want to flash a rom you need to root anyway..
