There's propably some fluff or other dirt in your headphone jack. Grab a toothpick and get it out from there. I had about 3mm of stuff in there after two years, and music playback would stop just like yours. Works fine after cleaning.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has come across this issue and/or found a fix for it.....
Basically when I plug headphones in that aren't a handsfree kit I.e. aux cable on car stereo....my Desire HD becomes possessed by some demon and spaz's out. Music stops and starts, randomly starts calling the last number on my call log, then hangs up and just does othe crazy ****. I've been experiencing this on every Rom I've tried (sense+aosp+miui) and have yet to find out why its happening. If anyone can help me me sort this out, or put my mind at ease it would seriously make my day. Cheers guys.
(if you don't know what I'm on about I can upload a video, let me know...)

my best advice would be, is it still under warranty?
There's an app called headset blocker in the market. Try it and let us know if it works

Been a few days now, headset blocker seems to have done the trick.
Trh1341 - good idea, ill try cleaning it and if that works then no need for the app.
Cheers for the help guys....

Nope it didnt dare, i was on my bike today, and it was raining, so i let the phone stay in my jacket.
But have only had the problem today.
This is funny, i have just asked the danish HTC support, they were aware of the problem, and she told me that software 1.29.401.7 should fix it, the problem now is, taht i am currently using that update...
She the asked me if i had use the HTC boot unlucker, becaurse she didnt know if that could effect the phone, i have done that but is on stock rom and kernel and i dont believe that has anything to do with it.
I asked her about warranty when using the boot unlucker, and she told me that they would test the phone for software that could course the hardware problem, and if they didnt find anything, then they would fix the hardware error. So it would depend on phone

Does it ring any bells for you?
Anyone else have issues with the HTC Car StereoClip also known as HTC a100 Car?
I turn it one, pair and connect, set car to auxillary, open music app and get nothing. But other Bluetooth devices work just fine.
Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated!
Looks like there are not many of those...is it really that good? Worth to buy? And for how much did you bought yours? And where you got yours from?
Sorry to answer your question with offtopic questions.
I believe I read somewhere that this works with the note2 with no problems

For what it's worth, I have the HTC car dongle and the note 2 and they work together perfectly.

What the hell am I doing wrong?
Sorry to be such a noob but what are you doing, how do you connect? Are you rooted? With what ROM?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
I am using a stock, unrooted Note 2. Just make sure that you follow the directions of the HTC device and connect. I also use an app from the playstore called A2DP volume. My phone and car bluetooth automatically connect when I get in the car and then I have set up this app to automatically connect to the HTC whenever my car and phone connect. I hope that this makes sense.

I will have to try tomorrow.

This makes no sense. I have tested with multiple stereos (my car and a stereo boombox) and multiple ROMs. Nothing works. I can pair to the A100, the SGN2 detects and connects properly (from what I can tell) but no music from it. When I use the standard cable, the headphone icon appears and music plays just fine. With just the A100 I get not headphone icon and no music playing.
I even went to completely stock ROM with no changes and nothing done to it but my Google account entered.
Strange because I tested the device with my previous HTC phone and it worked flawlessly. Any other thoughts? This makes no sense!!
Sorry, have you tried to reset the HTC dongle?

Try to press and hold ON/OFF button more then 10 seconds. Then A100 will "reset" blink red and turn off.
Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is the main issue

I think the main problem of the streaming audio bluetooth failure is... jelly bean 4.1.2 . hope in future upgrade to 4.2.2 fix all problems
I tried to with 2 different devices:
1) Tablt Asus Transformer Prime TF201 jelly bean 4.1.1 streaming is great :cyclops:
2) Samsung galaxy S II/III jelly bean 4.1.2 no audio output :crying:
Evdidence of this will be when people upgrade their Htc One (other device that have been issues with a100) to Jelly bean 4.2.2
however compliments HTC customer service .....poor...poor....
Hi,
Jelly Bean 4.2.2. does not fixed the problem
I use a HTC One, and I´m really angry about this ****.
Any recomendations maybe?
Hello, I have an odd problem. My mic on the bottom of my phone has stopped working for phone calls and all other app functions. When I make phone calls and I enable the speakerphone function people can hear me.
I'm just wondering if there is a fix to this problem!?
Even in speakerphone mode, the Mic used is the same... So the Mic works.

did you complete full wipe? flash again the whole rom and then another kernel or the stock boot.img
The bottom Mic may need replacing, when loudspeaker is activated it might actually switch mic to the top Mic (noise cancelling Mic), which is how it works on an iPhone, maybe to stop interference between the Mic and speaker.
I came across the same issue on an iPhone 4s I was repairing, when in a call the Mic would pic up no sound until the loudspeaker was activated.
After replacing the mic with another it was working fine again.

Bump?
So, I figured out that fix is a headphone adapter... Anyone know of any compatible ones? (Considering I'm using one for PC)
