Every time I start Google Now while I'm on data, it just says "Initializing" and eventually times out. When I back out of it and do it again, it's fine. This is on 4G and it doesn't happen on wi-fi. Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix?
Are you rooted? If so, has this happened on other roms?
If not, try clearing its cache and then reboot

I am rooted and it's happened all ROMs. Never had a chance to try it on stock since that was pre-Jelly Bean. Do I clean the cache for "Google Search"?
Yes, try that
But on all roms? Have you restored any data?

Yea, I've restored apps+data via ROM Toolbox Pro but not for Google Search.
Yeahh I've seen weird things happen when you restore data...try backing up the Google Search apk, uninstall and then reinstall it
Clearing the cache worked. Thanks for the tip.

I've used Cyanogen Mod for quite a while without issue. Then, last week my camera started force closing. So far as I knowing didn't change any settings or install an app that would mess with it. Haven't updated radios, etc...it just stopped. I've cleared the cache in apps settings, there is space on the card.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
clear cache and dalvik from recovery, and reboot. If that doesnt work, you will probably have to reflash the rom.

Do I need to back anything up before doing this? Thanks.

Shouldn't lose anything, as you are just clearing cache files. However, it can never hurt to do a backup first, only takes a couple minutes.
Ugh. I did a full wipe and upgraded to 7.1 (was on 7.0.2)...Camera is still FC'ing...again, it works with other apps (Vignette, Goggles) but not the stock camera. It worked just fine until two weeks ago...and then, nothing. No clue why. :/
Well, now it works...I did one more wipe and it just started working. Thanks!
Try fix permissions, worked for me

Sorry if it's a repost but I am trying to upgrade from T999UVLH3 to T999UVDLI3 but it fails as I have to go back to stock. What is the recommended way to downgrade to ICS from JB without wiping everything on my phone? or is there none? From what my search has resulted till now I will have to wipe everything, but i thought ill just confirm.
If i have to wipe everything then can i just use kies to do factory restore? I am using Mybackup to back everything up.
You really should be wiping everything every time you flash something.....

You could try just wiping the system.
If it doesn't work, then you will need a complete wipe. Question - did you have any complete nandroid backups

I used Mybackup to do a back. Is it good enuf?
Also i just read that I can't do a factory reset. I will have to download the stock rom and ODIN flash it. I am currently downloading T999UVALH2_T999TMBALH2_TMB.zip. Is this a correct stock rom?

Don't want to sound rude in anyway but you really need to just put your phone down and do some reading. Or you are going to end up with a really exspensive paper weight. If you have not even heard of odin you should not be messing wihmth any modems or radios because the wrong modem will brick the **** out of that shiny new SIII. Like I said no disrespect and we were all new at this at one point. But just take some time and do some reading. Google can be your best friend and the more you learn the more you will end up getting out of your device

Follow those steps and you should be good.
I flashed DLI3 right on top of LH3 using mobile Odin without wiping anything except Dalvik.
android.process.media started crashing after the reboot, but clearing cache and data for media storage took care of that.

I did that too but when it was crashing this idea didnt occur to me. So i flashed stock on top of it. Now its stuck on "FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE", kinda bricked. What do i do?
Try to boot back into download mode and odin back to stock.
There really is a reason these updates have to be applied a certain way. Sorry you had to find out one of them. Shortcuts CAN brick your device!

Look for "Media Storage" in the Applications manager list within System Settings. It will be under the "ALL" tab. Force Stop it then clear data and cache. If that doesn't fix it, disable it completely. You can tell that everything's been fixed if you open your Play Store without triggering a crash. Once it's fixed, you'll need to re-enable media storage again, and reboot.

ONLY clear data for Phone
settings>Apps >select Phone >clear data
If it doesn't work. Probably corruption occurred during download or you flashed a bad theme.
Try re download ROM, format system and reflash

Are you on coloros? Or a custom rom? Find 7 or 7a, are you rooted? Have you tried wiping data, uninstalling and reinstalling?

Wow sorry about that. I thought you would see my signature. I'm on 7a with Color OS 1.2.5i. Rooted. Yes, tried wiping and reinstalling. It's ok if no one else is having the problem. It's not that much of a big deal. Thanks.
Today suddenly i found issue with my call speaker. I can't hear anything.
Loud speaker is working fine but not call speaker.
Anybody know how to fix it ?
Thanks
Strange, what ROM are you on? Can try clearing the data/cache of the app if it's listed in settings or flash the ROM again or wipe dalvik and cache in recovery.

You can try clearing data and cache in dialler app but resetting might have done that anyway, I suggest you try either the Eragon or Nexus ROM available to download here.

Okay. I'll give it a try
I've got same issue on Eragon. Any other hint?
I am on stock 20160319 and same issue, clearing cache on app helped initially and Soundabout fixed it too... But no longer... Wiped phone cache and dalvik too but still an issue... Audio test app get sounds out of it so not hardware I think...
Any ideas much welcome....
Same. Mine doesn't work for like.. a week, then works for a couple of days, and stops working again... And this goes into a loop. Happened to me while i was on Eragon, happens now when i'm on cyanogenmod...
Maybe buy a new speaker.
It is easy to replace it.
