Songza Crashing - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Does the Songza app crash for anyone else? I'm not able to load a playlist on this phone.

Are you running "Xposed" tweaks?

Yes I am

That's the culprit. Mine force closes when I have that installed too. I decided to uninstall Songza rather than miss out on the awesomeness of the tweakability made possible by Xposed.

Ah I see ok thanks! I'll leave Mines installed so I can check if any new updates fixes it. Will keep xposed and use slacker radio in the meantime ; D

Once you've installed Xposed App it doesn't matter if you uninstall it, Songza still wont work. You have to do a hard reset and start from scratch for it to work.

yay! i reinstalled the Xposed mod with the latest version and now Songza isn't crashing anymore. I should have thought of that earlier but its all good.

Good to know. I may go back to trying it again. Then again I mainly used it to hack multiwindow to allow all apps and now I can do that with a standalone mod.....

Market apps nor showing up as installed.

I'm running CM7 and all my apps are only listed as free and purchased. They all work fine and are in app drawer but im not getting update notifications because the market thinks they are not installed. I have went to settings>manage apps>market and the only option is to uninstall updates, cache and data are greyed out.
I have tried downloading them again and they will download and install then show as installed but within a few hours revert back to saying free or purchased. Anybody else have this happen or know of a fix?

Sounds like an auto restore problem...... try uninstalling all of them and then reinstall..... plus go into privacy and turn of the back up my data with Google option and see if that works

Tried that and still no luck. Gonna try wiping and reflashing.

New market sucks!!!

I have tried renaming the marketupdate.apk in system/app but it still updates itself. I have tried freezing said apk with titanium backup and yet it still updates itself. I have a version of the market that I like but installing it everyday is getting old. How can I successfully keep it from updating on its own?? I'm on CM7.1 btw. Thanks.
Did you freeze the market or market updater?
Sent from my ADR6300 using xda premium
I froze the Market Updater using Titanium Backup.
A quick search found me this

Hope this helps...
Froze that marketupdater and the damn thing still updates. I then deleted marketupdater and it still updated to the new crap market! What the hell?

I hate it. I can search for an app and then try to install it and it just sits there forever. But as soon as I install the older version and search for the same app and install it, the app downloads and installs right away. Sigh.

Yep, multiple times. I have installed the old version a few times now. I must have jacked with the wrong file or something cuz now the new version FCs when I try to download somthing and the old version closes as soon as I click the Market icon. LOL. I need to reinstall my ROM anyway. Fresh start.
It definitely decreased the visibility for my app. In that way I don't like it, but as a user, I got used to it.

Google Talk with Video

Any one get Google Talk with Video support working on out great phone without flashing a custom rom?
You can also use this app https://market.android.com/details?id=com.brainwashstudio.talkinstaller it works fine for me. No force closing.
Keep in mind you need root.

have you tried clearing the data?
I tried this with cm7 alpha on this site with the moded synergy kernel. It force closes at the download. It never asked for root access. I have busybox, i don't know if it needed the commands for it. I will try to restore my backups from another rom and see if it works.
I can't even get regular google voice to work. I can get voice mail, but i can't text or dial. I like having a different number, Tmobile. I have unlimited everything, so why won't you let me make calls. I never had a problem with other companies. Why, Tmobile, why?

Market is messed up

Ever since I re rooted my phone, market hasn't been able to download anything.

Tried everything from the moon to the sun.
Error 493 or 491, package is not valid, etc.
I've tried everything and then some. Removed googlw account, reboot, add google account. Cleared data and cache on playstore. Uninstalled updates. Cleared data on services framework. Rebooted, rebooted, and rebooted some more.
NOTHING is working. What in the hell is going on?????
P.s. even tried cache and dalvik clear tgrough recovery. Even flashed a new rom, factory reset, all that. When I say I tried everything from the m9on and sun, I mean it.

You haven't modified your DPI settings or are using a ROM which requires some sort of modded Play store are you? Or changed build.prop settings?

Nope. Same problem on Virgin Rom, Golden Eye Rom (where I noticed the problem), then Darth stalker ROM.
All have the same issue. Even factory resetted on all ROMs. Same issue.
Here's the kicker. I'll try something new that I haven't tried before, then 1 app that was giving me problems will actually download. Then to definitely make sure if it's been fixed, try downloading something like Rom toolbox, same error message.
This happened ever since Virgin Rom, and really started taking effect once I flashed Goldeneye ROM.
Not saying those ROMs are the root cause, but just giving you guys a more clear picture of when this started happening.
If anything, it happened ever since I re rooted my phone.
Remove your Google account and re add it. Also recommend clearing data for Google play services, play store, and Google services framework as mentioned above. Do all this at once then reboot. Should fix it. At least it did for me.

Just realized that romtoolbox is the only app that gives me problems now.
I'm good to go as far as I can tell.

Netflix problem tab S 10.5

NETFLIX updated recently to 3.8.0 and now just hangs on the login screen.
Works fine on all my other phones and tablets so it's obviously a problem with compatibility.
Does any kind soul have a link to the previous version APK so I can sideload it and revert back., until another update solves the issue.?
CHEERS GUYS.

Netflix is most likely a system app. Just open the app, and press the task manager button, tap and hold on nexflix and hit app info. When your in app info hit uninstall updates. That should uninstall updates and get it working again. I wish I had Netflix lol. Hope this helps!!

I had already tried that but thanks anyway. I managed to find earlier version apk.
Sorted.

This has happened to me a couple of times. Clearing app cache and data fixed it and allowed me toasty on same version. You may try that if it happens again.
