Hey!
I am living in Oman,I am going to buy a Galaxy Note II,I've confused to choose N7100 or N7105,because carriers have not provided LTE for Smartphones and Tablets yet,but they launch in 2013,but not sure.
Now,I would know,N7105 Battery Life in 3G carriers is same as N7100?
In addition,I'll keep Note II for two years.
Regards
Its almost the same if your going to use 3g.. but if your carrier will provide lte then better go with the n7105 for future purposes.. both devices have same battery which is 3100mah.. you can go a day or two with minimal usage.. almost 1 day for moderate to heavy usage..

I have confused again because of an idea that stated in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1979246
"Here are the facts as i've had both n7100 and n7105.
N7100 gave me 9 to 10 hours on screen battery time almost all the time.
N7105 gives me just over 7 hours. This is 3g only as i'm with 3uk and they only deal with 3g. Their 3g network gives me 19meg download speeds most of the time though.
So a big difference and i actually miss my old n7100 but i'm loving n7105 speeds to. Catch 22 situation. So even with 4g disabled and settings set to 3g only the n7105 radio uses more power. " Lawtq says.

well at least I'm thinking about it.. for the first time, american phones are catching up to international .. even surpassing it seems..
50 mbps LTE vs broken unreliable European modem ports is the biggest factor..
I'm gonna do lots of research on my own, but any advice actual xda users have is a lot more trustworthy than online reviews
some of the things I'm wondering about,
how do the processors compare in performance and battery life? my i9300 is great in both
how compatible are some of the mods from i9300? specifically hyper-x's camera mod, and the custom dropbar toggles
does wifi tethering work?
is there anything I should know before I pursue this?

Performance - Very similar performance in CPU - though the Exynos will have better graphics. (The Adreno 225 is no slouch though and will play all games fine). I think that the US version has slightly better battery life.
I have no idea about i9300 mods... don't think they work.
Wifi tethering of course works. All in all, the US version is awesome and has twice the RAM as the International model. You won't feel the difference between day to day performance with the two different processors (maybe except for heavy, heavy gaming). Both are great, but LTE and warranty were the deciding factors for me (I previously owned an International Galaxy SII).
I'd trade you, I can't get LTE anyways because I'm on straight talk

Oh yes...it is stock, rooted.
I was thinking of getting another phone soon to replace my crappy Sensation and from my brief research, the GS3 may or may not have it in the hardware to support T-Mobile's upcoming LTE network. With the One X+ cancelled, am I only left with the GNote 2? I'm really not trying to carry that big of a phone around . Will there be any announcements by T-Mobile in the upcoming months to release phones for the holiday season? I'm keeping my fingers crossed . Thanks in advance for any insight or details.
The T-Mobile S3 will NOT connect to their future LTE network. The Note 2 probably won't either. Their LTE network is even close to ready to begin rolling out.

The note 2 is the closest one to get lte it pass by fcc by 1900aws and 700(Verizon band), they were rumors of tmobile making arrangements with Verizon so we probably get it then (if you have a supported device) having said that I don't worry I get up to 24 mbps on tmobile and love it, I use 20GB last month with unlimited so ain't going anywhere for a while

I get about 10-13 Mbps download with my S3 and it's more then suffice. While I'm sure it's be nice to be able to download at LTE speeds, I don't see the "necessity" of it.
I'm perfectly happy with my S3.
The Note II for T-Mobile has 700/1700 MHz bands for LTE.

I couldn't agree more. I've seen very impressive speeds from 4G on SGS3... While I'm sure getting 30-60 mbps down (seems average on other LTE networks) is really cool, its more of a signature spec - or bragging spec... 10mbps+ on 4G is plenty fast for me, especially considering I've been using an iPhone on T-mobile for years stuck on 2G EDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4G is like LUDACRIS SPEED for me (anyone? spaceballs? anyone???)

On Verizon's LTE, I pulled on average 15-25mbps. It peaked out at about 30. On T-Mobile's Faux-G, I pull on average 10-20 mbps. I peak out at about 25.
LTE is not noticeably better in any way other than speed tests. Latency had been about 100ms for both as well. Primary difference had been LTE outages on Verizon seemed to last 12-72 hours whereas HSPA+ outages on T-Mobile seem to last 30-600 seconds.

You have to be careful. If they're going to file an insurance claim on it. Your phone will be blacklisted

30-60 is average? I've never seen anyone around here go faster than 22 mbps and in that context, my GS3 gets 15-16. The difference isn't very large at all.
First of all don't get T-mobile their HSPA+ Network gives me 0-0.50Mbs around all Brooklyn, even if signal is below -60dBm

Any way to prevent this from happening? Make a phone call before buying? Call tmob customer service?
By the way, since the Note 2 will be coming out by the end of this month or maybe early November, I think a lot of people will try to dump their GS3 to upgrade. Will craigslist prices lower? I'm seeing 300-350 on average right now.
Assuming the N7100 is using HSPA+ and the N7105 is using LTE, would battery life be equal or would the HSPA+ device get better battery longevity?
Either way I'm sure it has enough battery to handle both good.

Hello all
Living in the US we are very limited to what dual sims are available to us.
I am planning to buy the Samsung Note 3 Neo Duos since here in the US I am using the Note 3 for Tmobile and right now I have a Philippine sim and intend to use it on the 2g just for texting..I would like to know if anyone is using the NEO in the US 3G successfully or on H+
According to gsmarena the duos only has support for HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, which is H. You wouldn't get H+.
I had no problem getting H and occasionally H+ on my 7505 which supports HSDPA, 42 Mbps.

Well it is a great phone, I live in Northern Va., just outside of Washington D.C., and have had mine for a month now. I still need to root it, but am waiting for confirmation on a viable way to do so.
It works great with my home Sim, Straight Talk and my work Sim, AT&T. I get consistent H+ Signal Strength and have tested it to get an average speeds of 7.8 Mbps download and 2.1 Mbps upload.
The SVoice has many capabilities, and is very handy to have. I guess I have to figure out which commands work and which ones will only confuse it and bring you to a Google search page, which always happens if you mis speak, or ask it anything it doesn't understand.
So far I cannot find anything wrong with this phone. I works great. It is very lightweight and I got a case for it. I put a screen protector on, even though I have heard mixed reports of it messing with the screen sensitivity, but turned on the feature, "gloved fingers", or something like that which allows you to use the touch screen while wearing gloves.
I have owned Dual sim phones for 8 years now, from the first Chinese no name Galaxy Clones, to the new BLU Studio 5.5, and the NEO N003. This is by far the best phone I have owned.
I give it 4 out of 5 Stars, (1 star for not having 4G LTE appear on the screen, it only reflects H+).
