I had the Moto photon and when Tat was unlocked we lost 4g

That was wimax this is lte, totally different technology. LTE should work with no issues if it has been lit up in you area.

Unlocking screwed up RSA keys on the Photon, which is needed to connect to WiMax. We do not share this issue. Unlocking your device will not cause your LTE to crash.

I'm so jealous of you guys with 4g....stupid Virginia.:banghead:

Evo 4g verizon

Get guys soon I will be getting an evo 4g and will be activating it on verizon now my question is are all the roms flashable without screwing up my prl code

How are you going to activate the EVO 4G on Verizon? As for flashing roms, they *should* have no effect on the PRL.

Won't happen. The DOJ, and FCC would have a very tough time approving it. Much less getting it past Congress. Too close to an election year. Plus if that were to happen then only thing you'll notice is possibly better reception, and a different looking invoice. Why do you think Chrysler still exists?

Oh. I see. I was thinking of something other than hacking the preferred roaming list. Thanks for the update. Take care.

To answer your question, no. Flashing a different ROM won't effect your PRL.
However, it will effect your APN settings for sure. There may be other settings that would be effected as well. Google around for threads about people using Evos on PagePlus. Since it is a Verizon MVNO any of the things that would affect an Evo on PagePlus would effect an Evo on Verizon. *228 may fix some of those issues automatically with Verizon where it wouldn't with PagePlus.
Wondering how you're getting Verizon to accept your Evo in their system, how you're flashing the data settings, and why you're not getting a Thunderbolt instead since it is basically a spiced-up Evo.
The deal fell through does anyone want to trade ur evolution for my nook color

(Q) PRL change

Can you change the prl on this phone to one of another network like Sprint, or US Cellular? On my evo 3d I can download a different prl file and switch the phone to that prl. Is this possible on this phone with Verizon? I travel for work some, and this is handy for me. Thanks...........Brian
Anyone? I would of cource be rooting and unlocking the bootloader if that makes a difference. Thanks........Brian
No, it is not.

I am on my 3rd nexus. First two wouldn't hold 4g and kept dumping all data and calls while in 4g. Once I manually set the phone to CDMA it worked perfect. In my cade I had 2 nexus phones with bad 4g modems and the 3rd one works perfect. It took a lot of knowledge and trial and error to come to this but thankfully I have a fully functioning nexus.

If you are having the issue I was having it only happens when you turn on lte/CDMA. It never does it when its in CDMA. Only when 4g is active. It will hold a signal and then completely dump everything. No service or data. Just disappears and comes back. When you switch to CDMA it never has a problem. Works perfect.

This phone does not operate on LTE at all. I would stay away if you planning to buy it because the person is telling you that it is LTE ready. The epic 4G touch operates on 1x, 3G, and Wimax.
Thanks s lot , and I suppose rooting it and no Rom will make it work with LTE right?

I wish, wouldn't have switched to the Galaxy Nexus if that was the case. You might want to check Wimax coverage in your area though, in some places LTE won't be coming anytime soon but Wimax can already be there so it might not be a bad idea to consider the device.

[Q] Sprint phone flashed to Verizon no 3G?? help!

I had no problems with my 3G until Saturday morning. Then all of a sudden I cannot get 3G. I don't know what to do?
Well what I would do is connect the phone to qpst or cdma workshop and check to see if your AAA/HA keys are all still in place.
Could also be maintenance on towers in your area.

Would anyone reading this thread be willing to point me in the direction of a step by step thread on flashing epic 4g touch to Verizon prepaid? Since I am on boost network would I even be able to flash to Verizon? I really don't want to pay anyone to do this for me. Much appreciation in advance.

Well I did use this guide here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473141
Also I used the Verizon gutso 2 prepaid phone. I had a extra Samsung fascinate so I was able to get the 3g keys and all that.
If you don't have a Fascinate then you can follow this thread and pull the 3g info from the gutso 2 even after it was activated. At least it worked for me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2116244
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the links. Is there any advantage of using the first method rather than the second one?
