Get guys soon I will be getting an evo 4g and will be activating it on verizon now my question is are all the roms flashable without screwing up my prl code

How are you going to activate the EVO 4G on Verizon? As for flashing roms, they *should* have no effect on the PRL.

Won't happen. The DOJ, and FCC would have a very tough time approving it. Much less getting it past Congress. Too close to an election year. Plus if that were to happen then only thing you'll notice is possibly better reception, and a different looking invoice. Why do you think Chrysler still exists?

Oh. I see. I was thinking of something other than hacking the preferred roaming list. Thanks for the update. Take care.

To answer your question, no. Flashing a different ROM won't effect your PRL.
However, it will effect your APN settings for sure. There may be other settings that would be effected as well. Google around for threads about people using Evos on PagePlus. Since it is a Verizon MVNO any of the things that would affect an Evo on PagePlus would effect an Evo on Verizon. *228 may fix some of those issues automatically with Verizon where it wouldn't with PagePlus.
Wondering how you're getting Verizon to accept your Evo in their system, how you're flashing the data settings, and why you're not getting a Thunderbolt instead since it is basically a spiced-up Evo.
The deal fell through does anyone want to trade ur evolution for my nook color

In my area metro has faster 3g than sprint. Never really below 1.3mbps. Hope this changes when network upgrades get here.

heard a rumor that Boost is getting WiMax, but that may not help you if you are in an area with no WiMax
I No longer support this thread due to the lack of time I have lately. This video will show you how to get up and running on P+ with 1x data only.
This wil work for the Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular variant.
Yes I can get 3G but, the method is not allowed on this forum.
Please don't PM me asking how to get 3G as I will not reply.
Hit thanks if you watched this video please

Wow awesome Nevell. Thanks so much for this.
A few questions.
How different would it be to flash Straight Talk?
After flashing can I load ROMS like CyanogenMod and such without issue?
On the Sprint one yes but not on the VZW one. As far as flashing to ST you would need a donor phone. I won't go into details but that should be a start for you.
OP updated with new Verizon GS3 fully flashed with 3G youtube video demo.
I have been trying to flash verizon gs3 to sprint, and have talk and text but no data, I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have tried everything. Thanks for your videos and help is appreciated

Why not just trade your VZW GS3 for a Sprint GS3 on your local Craigslist?
I do have the sprint one, but I wanted the GSM capabilities of the Verizon one cause I travel over seas.

I can do 3G on the VZW 1 but I'm not going to discuss the method of doing it.
That's all I need to know if is doable and if it's stable steady 3G.

This phone does not operate on LTE at all. I would stay away if you planning to buy it because the person is telling you that it is LTE ready. The epic 4G touch operates on 1x, 3G, and Wimax.
Thanks s lot , and I suppose rooting it and no Rom will make it work with LTE right?

I wish, wouldn't have switched to the Galaxy Nexus if that was the case. You might want to check Wimax coverage in your area though, in some places LTE won't be coming anytime soon but Wimax can already be there so it might not be a bad idea to consider the device.

Just curious if it is possible to swap to the '00002' verizon prl that has been floating around. I have flashed that on a few of my evos and it worked, just curious if it will play nice with galaxy devices as well since I am new to them.

They definitely can, I have heard of it. I just get terrible reception in certain areas and I know verizon coverage is slightly better so in these areas I would like the speed boost
Also that bootleg prl does not have the records to enable lte and 800smr. Plus the author screwed it up and set all the international stuff as non roaming too. You could rack up a bill and never know it.

I had no problems with my 3G until Saturday morning. Then all of a sudden I cannot get 3G. I don't know what to do?
Well what I would do is connect the phone to qpst or cdma workshop and check to see if your AAA/HA keys are all still in place.
Could also be maintenance on towers in your area.

Would anyone reading this thread be willing to point me in the direction of a step by step thread on flashing epic 4g touch to Verizon prepaid? Since I am on boost network would I even be able to flash to Verizon? I really don't want to pay anyone to do this for me. Much appreciation in advance.

Well I did use this guide here.

Also I used the Verizon gutso 2 prepaid phone. I had a extra Samsung fascinate so I was able to get the 3g keys and all that.
If you don't have a Fascinate then you can follow this thread and pull the 3g info from the gutso 2 even after it was activated. At least it worked for me.

Thanks for the links. Is there any advantage of using the first method rather than the second one?
