Am I the only one who has to hit the back button numerous times in the stock browser to get it to go to the previous page. It will even reload the current page sometimes instead of going back. Is this a known issue?

was very excited to get the update but after updating.....
is anyone else having the issue of the screen shutting off when you open up the browser? I did a search on this forum and can't find anyone who has posted about this issue.
I'm running stock ek02. basically, everytime I open up the stock browser the screen goes completely black. push the power button, unlock, happens again.... this has never happened before the update.
currently using opera as an alternative.

Yes I had this happen this morning. I recieved the EK02 update last week 12/9 in the early AM and this is the first time I encountered this screen blanking bug. It's only happened once but required a reboot to fix the problem. I just tried launching the stock browser again and this bug did not happen this time. I will monitor and update this thread if it happens again.
Happened to me too, amongst other issues since the update. I took the phone in to Best Buy and I'm getting a refurbed one, which sucks and is another story.
so after it happened for the first few reboots immediately after updating, it hasn't happened again.
I feel like a lucky man.
I wonder what was the cause?
Doesn't seem like this has happened to many people so I'll make a special point to keep you two updated on any developments on my end.

Thanks for the suggestion; thats a good tip. I tried clearing out the cache and the data- no dice.
I think its a bug that is triggered by the screen brightness setting. if you set your screen brightness setting under system to the lowest setting, go into browser, turn on manual brightness, slide that all the way down, it seems to happen more.
I've moved on to playing with some custom roms though so someone will have to try that out and see?
so I have a lockscreen problem. for no reason especially while browsing the web I get my lockscreen for a few seconds. it does go away but those few seconds it locks up everything. its not like it's timing out. it has happened right after touching the screen. also I am using ai keyboard from the market. and randomly it turns my input method back to swype. even when I deletes swype it puts the input to samsung. any ideas to help either problem would be very appreciated

I'm running CM10.1 4/23, and i have this really small but annoying bug.
When you're in an app(ie messaging), when you hold the home button, and go to the recent app switcher, your supposed to see this sweet animation if the app getting zoooming out.
I sometimes see this animation, some times I don't... its getting really really really annoying. When I reboot, It usually works the first time, then the animation no longer appears 2 more times, then the animation appears once again.... Is it possible I could keep that animation on, or just turn it off completley. I've had to go back to touchwiz because I can't stand this stupid error...

I forgot all about the "task manager" trick with the home button. I've been playing with it for the last day now, and every time I get the animation. Both when I long press the home button to get to the app list, and then when I clear either one, or all at once. I'm currently on 5/11 nightly, so maybe it's fixed in the newer releases. Actually 5/11 nightly has been spot on. Super smooth, and no issues at all. I'm currently on 32 hours up time cause there is no RR, SOD, or reason to reboot. Maybe give it a try.

I don't clear all. I go toessagimg, go to task switcher, click messaging again, go to task switched the second time..... repeat process ....
The second the onwards, the. Zooming out animation dissappears

What do you mean by multiple messages? More than one at the same time or just a lot back to back?

If he is trying to send more than 30 in 30 minutes than he needs to go to settings-security- sms message limit and change it from default 30 to whatever he wants up to 500.
Can someone look at my original problem?

I believe he just doesn't know how to add multiple people in the "to:" Field. I know how to do it manually but he always sends out mass "just for today" n.a. readings to allot of people. I would show him but I'm not sure with jelly bean and cm10.1. Since my phone has its wip cm10.1 I haven't installed it on my metropcs lg spirit yet.

Ever since the update to 4.3, the home button is absolutely annoying. Everytime I need to get back to the home screen, it opens the recent tabs list. Anyone who knows what I am talking about knows how extremely frustrating this is. So, is there a fix?
Sounds like it may be sticking. That's what its supposed to do when you long press home.

Definitely not sticking. It seems once upgraded to 4.3, it started happening. I was reading a lot of people were having the same issue. But they were old posts, so I wasnt able to find a resolution. Its really annoying actually as it slows things down quite a bit, like a major time stopper.
Never had that happen for me. Have you disabled double press for svoice? If you flash an older rom does it fix it?

Yes I have disabled that. No, I am completely stock refreshed from samsung after sending in to fix cracked screen.
Did you get the same one back, or a refurb? Id contact them either way if they caused the problem.
Or try reflashing your firmware.

I believe you can switch where the buttons are located. Might have to get to Developer Settings to do it, but I am pretty sure there is a way. I think you can not only switch where the buttons are located, but also add another button into the mix too. Can't remember where I saw the guide on how to do this, but 99% sure you can.

It's not about the back button locating on the left or right, it's about the back button intermittently not working.

It happen in almost all the apps, but intermittently. Sometimes it works by just one tap, sometimes I have to tap 3 to 4 times before it goes back....

i set mine as invisible gesture, no issues in any apps
3 note 10s.. no issues like the OP describes, and ive been setting these things up from a fresh install since wednesday last week, so the back button on all 3 have been put to good use.
i took off the screen protector that came with it and these are unlocked variants...
