All the ICS releases are on the adobe site, is it safe to use the latest on my One V, or is there a particular release that is supported?
Id say use the latest. It has updates and security enhancements.

I was reading that Ice Cream Sandwich won't have flash player. So if I upgrade the phone, it will be without it!

ICS has the flash player now. But flash for Android will only be supported for a limited time. Jelly bean (Android 5) most certainly won't have it.

Flash player also takes up a good amount of memory, which increases with each update haha. Hopefully sites switch to html 5 then cause the desire is handy when trying to access those flash sites.

In my Opinion, regarding the discontinued update on mobile Flash Player:
It should still play on ICS, but due to Adobe discontinues mobile Flash player, if there are new API/system used by Adobe Flash, the currently available Flash Player will not be able to play the content.
That is just my opinion based on what I read from the Internet, I also heard that Adobe suggested to uninstall Flash Player after upgrading to Jelly Bean, due to a possible instability because of new Android API

You can get Google Now for ICS in this thread: [MOD][ICS] The Google Now for ICS Project [ARMv6 & v7]
I've been using it for a while now and it works pretty well, although not as perfect as in most of the youtube videos you've probably seen of the JB version.
For the Vision you need the ARMv7 version.
Google Now is not available for GB and probably won't ever be.
Anyone get this app to work? Every time I try it, it keeps closing. I'm on imperium rom.

Chrome beta is a version of chrome that includes experimental features Google is testing out before they get the features they are testing stable enough for public release in regular chrome for Android. For example, Google recently introduced experimental WebGL support for chrome for android this allows web developers to to put anything from 3d games to animation's on websites without needing to rely on the Adobe Flash Player plugin. The latest version of chrome beta includes these experimental features and more. You can download chrome beta from the play store here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.beta.

Same for me. Not sure what the issue is. I even tried it as a system app.
I tried it on my phone w/ V8. It's rooted, but not unlocked & it doesn't work either...it loads up, I do the 'allow' dance and when I go to search or sign in to sync, it just crash-closes.
Would be nice if they came closer to v25 of Chrome, we're still on v18...
Dont like beta
I'm using Chrome beta. Everything is fine. I'm on HTC One X with viperX installed

I don't think I want to update something where the only new features are increased restrictions.

maybe it's for non certified devices, or gives them the ability to restrict custom ROM makers that put in things they arent too happy about like DRM workarounds and such. just speculation.
