Devices that don’t have the Flash Player provided by the manufacturer typically are uncertified, meaning the manufacturer has not completed the certification testing requirements. In many cases users of uncertified devices have been able to download the Flash Player from the Google Play Store, and in most cases it worked. However, with Android 4.1 this is no longer going to be the case, as we have not continued developing and testing Flash Player for this new version of Android and its available browser options. There will be no certified implementations of Flash Player for Android 4.1.
Beginning August 15th we will use the configuration settings in the Google Play Store to limit continued access to Flash Player updates to only those devices that have Flash Player already installed. Devices that do not have Flash Player already installed are increasingly likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install it from the Google Play Store after August 15th.
The easiest way to ensure ongoing access to Flash Player on Android 4.0 or earlier devices is to use certified devices and ensure that the Flash Player is either pre-installed by the manufacturer or installed from Google Play Store before August 15th. If a device is upgraded from Android 4.0 to Android 4.1, the current version of Flash Player may exhibit unpredictable behavior, as it is not certified for use with Android 4.1. Future updates to Flash Player will not work. We recommend uninstalling Flash Player on devices which have been upgraded to Android 4.1.

Agreed. Sooner or later, Adobe Flash Player will break but honestly.. I never even touch Flash content on my phone anyways. So it's not a big deal for me but for some people, it will be.
I'm not concerned about flash support for my phone, but it's a bit of a kick in the balls for the upcoming nexus 7.

Flash is a crap plugin of another time, it was bound to die. Actually, I am impressed it lasts so long.
Either adobe opens up the source for the flash player, making it a so called standard, either it dies. The latter being more probable.

Since Dolphin Browser HD recently dropped support for Flash on all Jelly Bean devices, including the Nexus 7, people have been needing the old version of Dolphin Browser HD for use with Flash. Well, here you are.
APK Download: http://dl.apktops.com/app/201206/Dolphin_Browser_HD_8.5.1.apk
If you need Flash Player, check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771463
Thanks
Thanks OP, very kind of you!
*Edit - Although Flash seems to work fine, when trying to go full screen it crashes out immediately. Currently Firefox does not have this problem.
This is great. I miss the pinch to zoom and the more functional address bar though. Not a poblem.

As of right now, no. I guess that's the price to pay to have Flash working on it though.
Maybe if everyone keeps giving it 1 star for disabling Flash, Dolphin will get the message and add it back.

Did this yesterday and it's been smoooooth sailing so far. I'm new to Android and this made things a ton easier. :good:
I wonder if there is a way to change the apk or program to make it think your are running ICS so it still enables flash, besides editing the build.prop. From the Google Play update log it sounds like its merely disabling flash on JB while still allowing it to work on ICS/GB, so the flash supporting part of Dolphin is still there, its just being disabled.
I've been using XScope Browser.
Seems like Flash support is a little bit better on that one, but I haven't tested it extensively. Amazon Instant Video can be played full-screen, which is nice. I tried that with Dolphin, but it kept crashing.

I found this link
https://www.bankofamerica.com/online-banking/android-tablet-banking-app.go
Where you're supposed to be able to email it to yourself but ive done it twice and it wont work. Why does the Play Store link say our devices aren't compatible when we're using tablets? Lol
Edit: T_T got the email, it literally just links direct to the play store again. What a waste of potential.
I'm also looking for the current APK. The older one linked here installs fine but unfortunately BoA has updated their app so as soon as you try and open it the app sends you to the market for an update and since the N7 isn't compatible, won't let you download.

This kinda sucks, just picked up the new model nexus 7. This is my first tablet, and I was kinda excited to see the difference between tablet apps and phone apps. Both American Express and Bank of America won't let me download their tablet versions. American Express won't even allow the regular mobile version either!
I've read on a few forums about how Adobe Flash Player is no longer available on new Android devices and how it's been pulled from the Google Play Store.
In case anyone didn't realize this, I was able to install it on my Droid Razr M by going to "My Apps" in the Google Play Store and downloading it.
I guess if you've downloaded it in the past, it stays in your Google Play Account "My Apps" list.
People help me out so much on these forums, hope this helps someone else.

IMHO Opera Mobile is the best web browser out there!
Anyone mind sharing the apk for Flash Player with me? I did install it before on other devices but it now tells me the Razr I is not compatible.

IMO I hated opera. Sometimes u have to refresh the feed in order to bring up a website that you click on.. that is the page will show up completely white for me. For example.. wiki answers. Always use that for help on homework topics but opera doesn't seem to load it while others do just fine.. got real annoying

You can find all of Adobe's FLASH Player builds here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html#main_Archived_versions
Scroll down and you'll see every APK compiled for Android 4.x (and older versions too). I always prefer to pull APKs direct from the developer.
Adobe Flash is still in the google play store, I guess it's just hidden?

Why is that? Why don't they want us to use it?

Adobe officially stopped supporting Flash as of August 15th, and announced there would be no support for JB. The best referring article I could find is here:
http://www.redmondpie.com/long-live-flash-adobe-stops-supporting-flash-on-android-as-of-today/
I think the bottom line is that Adobe is focused development on HTML5. Older devices can still install Flash from the market, but nothing running ICS or JB.
Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.58 latest version, updated on 5/14/2013

In theory, Google no longer supports Adobe Flash Player; that's why we see all this controversy with some Android browsers still supporting it while others don't and won't. Google's seems to be pushing the HTML5 but that just can't happen overnight. Adobe Flash Player is certainly not dead and it won't be replaced for a while.
That's why it says it's for ICS and yes, it'll work on JB without problems. Most likely Adobe will never (officially) be releasing a version dedicated to JB or KLP...
It's probably also why we'd have to dig deeper and deeper to find this ARCHIVED links.

Thanks but I've been using Boat Broawser Pro for quite some time - at least for me there is no better Android browser - period. It supports Flash (no hack needed) and it comes with all the features I need/like. I simply can't stand Dolphin's gestures. Boat Browser uses a very similar engine but (although it supports some gesture) it mainly works on button-based interactions.
