Hello All,
I have been using ICS AOKP Milestone 6 Stable and ICS Stock based Rom for long time, I didn't have any issue with Facebook Notifications (I get a notification as soon as an event happens on Facebook).
After updating to JB AOKP Milestone 1, I experienced that Facebook Notifications are so late and sometime I don't get them. I have tried many JB Roms and I guess it's a JB issue.
Does anyone notice that or have a fix for this ??
Thanks in Advance
Looks like nobody did

will it be possible to have a stable ICS or jelly bean rom in the near future or does it seem quite impossible.. when i say stable, i mean usable for daily use with camera, camcorder, video playback, fm radio, bluetooth running properly
Hello,
on ICS devs have already managed to get camera, camcorder, video playback and bluetooth working properly. and you can get fm radio working with an extra application.
on JB devs have got camera, and bluetooth working, but the camcorder and video playback still needs work. nothing is impossible when it comes to android. hope they will figure it out soon.
I've tried Paranoid android by Yasir and it worked well. For the camcorder and video playback, i installed 3rd party apps and worked just fine. But i don't really use those stuff that much.

I've tried couple of ICS rom lately, and one of them became my daily rom. Camera and video recording works good. 2 weeks time frame is far too long for them to be able to fix these issue. I'm using JB right now as my daily rom, i never experience any crashes.
and which ICS rom was it plz?
Just take a look at Q&A section, almost all issue threads are about ICS and JB roms.

I had this problem too but I think it depend on the ROM you use. I switched now to Sandvold ICS and had no problems until now. With MIUI ICS I had always reboots after taking a picture.

I flashed Sandvold ICS once but removed it a day later. I don't quite remember why, think it was some crash problem.
However, I have tried Nikez ICS & JB, Elk759 JB, Spazedog ICS/JB. All of these ROMs are working fine for me without any problems or stupid crashes. However, a little faster ROM is needed.
Answer: no.

The rom you mentioned works on me as well, but I opted out because of the response (with MIUI ICS opening SMS takes 4 seconds, Titanium Backup 30 seconds to load the backup list..)
for me Spazedog ICS and Nikez Lente are the best opinions. The only real problem is the camcorder. For watching videos im using mxplayer.

Hi guys,
I have a problem for which i can't seem to find a solution through search. I'm on the latest Ice Cold Sandwich and the recent apps function (holding home button) gets really slow after a while. It seems to me that the function holds to many apps in memory causing it to be slow. I tried nova launcher which made it a little faster but not quite solved the problem.
Does anyone know a way to adjust the number of apps this function holds in memory?
Thanks
Not that I know of. And changing the launcher won't help since recent apps list is not related to it. I was a longtime IceColdSandwich user till Lord Clockan stopped active development for it. It's gotten buggy over time and especially because he was blind developing it without a phone to test on. After some use the ROM UI becomes slow overall. For ICS, I'd recommend aospX. It's the most stable ICS ROM. However it's pure AOSP and won't have AOKP/CM features like IceColdSandwich except the quick toggles in the notification bar. I'd also recommend you they the codefireX JellyBean nightlies. They are CM10 with some AOKP features and are more stable than IceColdSandwich in my experience. There a also JellyTime which is CM10 only. Since these are JellyBean ROMs, they are by default faster than ICS throughout. Everything works including 720p video recording and there are no major bugs that hamper usability.
Of course I'm only talking about AOSP ROMs. There are many stable Sense ICS ROMs if you like Sense.

As sashank said, you're not the only one facing slowing down issues with IceColdSandwich. It seems a lot of users are experiencing slow downs in the overall UI after a couple of days using the ROM.
I'm a fan of Sense ROMs, and there are a couple very stable ones around.
Thanks guys,
Might be time to switch to a jellybean ROM then....

Happy flashing
Let us know how it goes for you..
Yeah, I am in the same boat. IceCold Sandwich while formally rock steady, now is just laggy. I flashed over to Jellytime, but my wifi was so unstable at home that I have axed that one as well. I had Jellytime around B7 and had no issues with wifi. R12 & R13 are completely unusable for me. Oh well, time for something else.
Sup guys and gals, My phone is being very glitchy as expected when flashing ROMS.
So, I'm running Liquidsmooth V2 RC3 which is a jelly bean ROM with the franco 282 kernel, 384mhz gpu.
My SMS would not send when I put the phone to sleep, I would have to wait for the message to send and deliver before I could put it to sleep. It also fails to receive SMS at times. This is a big issue and I am wondering if anyone has a solution..
I am also a Canadian resident and I am with Rogers.

Try flashing a different ROM. Custom ROMs are that, best thing you can do is ask the ROM's developer about it.
I've used CNA, cm10 and madoggin, and no sms issues on any of those no matter what build I ran.

Sigh, I did what you guys suggested, I switched ROMs... Too bad, I really enjoyed Liquidsmooth. I guess all I can do is wait for an update and see what happens.
Don't they have rc5 already? Why don't you try that ?

So the problem was with the Liquidsmooth ROM? Let's hope the developer releases an update soon
Hi Guys, I been trying the 4.2.1 Roms AOKP/CM and while i understand they are WIP, and very smooth but still have some issues that for someone like me who depends alot on their phone is not really working, Bluetooth issue / low call volume / lack of AVRCP / lack of SMS profile etc.
anyone here is running a stable 4.1.2 AOSP ROM ? (with everything working?)
Thank you,
Get flashing and find out for yourself they are all stable. I think your getting "stable" and "a few bugs" mixed up

Hello everyone, I'm not a noob, I'm not saying this to show off, but I'm not by any ways, I'd like anyone here that knows enough about this to give a quick answer to my question. What's the state of the roms based on the ones mentioned in the title, it's not that I don't want or know how to check, but I work from Monday to Saturday all day so I don't have much time to test stuff even though I love to. The only thing I wanted to know was basically what are the known bugs etc. Thanks in advance!

FYI, I am on Sprint.
For Sense ROMs i like Viper (not much bugs that I can find), for AOSP I like Liquid Smooth (tons of features, but drops to 3G and stays there unless you toggle Airplane mode. I believe a lot of AOSP ROMs have this issue.), for CM I like Gummy ROM.
But, I have only been testing out ROMs for 3 weeks or so now.
Anyone else wants to give me any more recommendations? Or tell me what the bugs are atm on AOSP or cm based roms? Thanks

The biggest bug I've seen is most/all aosp speakerphone mics don't work, as in you can talk on speakerphone but they won't hear you. In PA I had a bug where I couldn't search chrome properly, and I've seen a few bugs with themes, but that's all I can think of if you stick to the big names (CM, AOKP, LS, PA). Personally using CM11 nightly with furnace kernel with fantastic results. Hope this helps!

Thank you (pressed thanks already)
Thank you too
One of the major bugs with AOSP was encryption of data. It "encrypted" the phone itself and asked for password so that nobody could get in. Apparently it was fixed but I still see some threads where people complain about receiving this prompt for password in the AOSP ROMs they flashed.
This was the thread with the fix for the problem. [FIX] Data Encryption Problem AOSP Roms
Here a user posted a summary about the status of CM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53953807
Kinda disappointed to hear that duo camera doesn't work...even though it was to be expected. (I guess that's the case on all AOSP roms)
