Urgent Help - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Before I start, Yes, I am new to the forums, and people can call me a noob if I did genuinely made a mistake posting here haha.
I was due for an upgrade on the 6th December just past. I didn't think there were two different models of this type of mobile, until I found it last week that I cannot upgrade my storage. I found out my model is an N7105 and was told that model isn't designed for rooting or whatever that Samsung guy said at the store.
I don't know if I am too late to stop this contract as I was told from Citizen Advice Bureau that I can still cancel it because it's not fit for purpose and it was false pretense.
I am quite frustrated and Annoyed due to the fact only to finding out that I cannot extend my storage nearly end of my 30 days. Wow...just wonderful!
Not only I’m stuck with this contract with 24 months on the papers, yet I am limited to space.
So, I'm in a difficult position here lol.
What can I do?
I have some pics but due to being a newbie here I can't post any links.
I've tried removing the sd card and putting it back in.
Any advice or any direction in this situation would be very helpful.
P.S. I forgot to say ‘’Happy New Year’’

Return it and get a n7100.

So I can still return it? even though it's passed 30 days on my contract? I will call them tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I didn't know you were past your 30. Your first post you did you were nearly at the end of your 30.
You may have to sell it and take a small loss.

Oh bugger...Thanks for having the time to help

Where do you buy it? Some places will let you return within 30 and exchange for a longer period of time.

I received it from Phones4u. They won't take it back because there's no fault with the phone itself. I could get some shop on the high street to root it and let me get access to the storage or something.

The models you're talking about are not Sprint models - Sprint has model number SPH-L900. Did you buy these and flash these over to Sprint? Or perhaps you're dealing with an international version of the Note 2?
*Edit* Yeah, see the site is UK. I'll ask a Mod to move this to the generic GT-N7100 (Note 2) forum for you so you can get the help you need. Thanks!

[Q] multiple question

Hi guys im new to this site so sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. Anyway I found a HTC desire at the V festival and have since spent the last couple of days trying to get it too work but have failed as the phone is blacklisted. So I have two questions for you guys number one is there Anyway to un-blacklist this handset?
And my other question is kinda random, if I cannot un-blacklisted this handset will it work in Ireland on a non UK carrier like meteor?
Thanks in advance
Mark.
What you want to do is illegal.
What you should have done is try to return to its rightful owner. However, you've clearly chosen not to do that and so are guilty of theft.
You'll get no help here.

No its not like that. I got hold of the owner and said id send it too him in the post but he said he has already claimed on insurance for it so he has a new Desire already. I then got his address and shipped him his sim card (for the numbers) and his SD card as I don't need it. He said I could keep the phone but according to T-Mobile once you claim on insurance the other handset will stay blacklisted so its useless now. So I did try to get it back to the owner but he says he has no need for it.
It's still illegal. The phone doesn't belong to you, and if this second story is true, it belongs to the insurance company now.
I fully understand that it's not my phone but it seems a waste as all it could be used for is a media player and web browser. So what would you suggest I do with the phone?
Can't comment what I would do with the phone as it would too be illegal.
Ask elsewhere. I doubt the rules on this forum will allow you to get an answer here.

If he's already claimed on insurance, he's not the phones owner any more - the insurance company is! Trying to sell it could still get you charged with theft.

Dave
No only that but the original owner could get done for insurance fraud for letting you keep it ...:..

[Q] Sim & SDcard holder blue sticker/cover

Well I have a question about the N7100.
On the inside of the N7100 at the sim and mircosd cardholder there are 2 blue stickers/covers.
Now some people say I have to remove those, but now other people say, that they have to stay there because they are protection for dust and the nfc because they are magnetic shielded stickers/cover so they protect the sim and Sdcard.????
What is the right answer?

i thought that myself a few days ago when I got my upgrade from note 1
I just left mine on anyway and everything seems fine
I also left them on. But at the store they said that I had to remove them :-s
It is called Mylar and has various propertied. It repels heat and static electricity.
I mostly see Mylar used very much by HTC.

A friend of my have pulled them off, I hope for him you can buy stuff at a local store.
Kinda stupid that a store that sell cellphones says you have to remove those.

[Q] Need help converting to stock

I'm going to sell my S3 for $300, it's completely new, been in a case from the moment its been bought. So i want to sell it as if I just bough it from AT&T. I'm running CyanogenMod 10 and have CWM as a root. I'm not sure whether or not it's been rooted would mind if it was rooted or not, so should I unroot it? And apparently everyone wants their phone unlocked, so should i do that too? And lastly, i tried to make a recovery before, idk if i did, but i want all the memory wiped..as if brand new.

My phone is completely dead.....
Tried different batteries, connected directly to the charger.........completely dead
When I Googled that, I read multiple posts about a HW bug which kills the phone and the only solution - according to the posts - was to replace the MB.
This is International version, GT-N7100
Thanks,

Wish things were that easy......
I bought the phone online and because it was unlocked int'l version, Samsung told me that it was out of warranty because they didn't have any records of the phone where I live.
I already contacted Samsung support with no luck....
Now, I'd really appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction on where to get a MB replacement, I tried eBay but they weren't sure if the listed MB were to work with my phone
Thanks,
Contact mobiletechvideos.com. goto their website and email them or call them. It is your internal storage that probably pooped on you. Will cost about $150 to fix. They're located in Texas BTW.

[Q] Rooting Verizon HTC One M9??

First of all, I just recently switched from IOS to Android so I don't know a lot of the correct terminology or parts of rooting yet. But, as I've searched around it seems there is no way to root the Verizon model of the htc one m9. All I want to do is be able to root my phone and get cyanogen mod 12. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
As of this moment, the only way is thru the use of a Java Card. There's a thread in this forum devoted to that, where you can get with one of the members that has a card and ship your phone to them for the procedure. Other than that, just waiting for beaups and jcase to get their method safe and available for public release. There's also a discussion on that.
Thank you so much for responding so quickly! I think I will just wait for the devs to release something. But, what would they be releasing and how can I keep an eye out for it?

You can also make an attempt at finding someone close to you who would be willing to meet, the procedure is quick and painless from what I hear and it will unlock your phone, it is called "S-Off" in the HTC world and allows you to unlock your bootloader to make the possibilities endless, giving the ability to flash custom ROM's and custom kernels. It is most definitely worth it.. Here is the thread for Java card
OK thanks! Maybe I can find someone on Craigslist to do this.
Please don't look on Craigslist. If you need root that bad, I know someone that can s-off your device with a Java card. Shipping costs both ways will be your responsibility though.

Every bad thing that has ever happened in the world started with this sentence...LMAO JK!
Not every but alot of them unfortunately.
I have never had a bad thing happen to me through Craigslist. Actually quite the opposite. I got deals I couldn't find anywhere else and I met people that were absolutely awesome! Actually the roommates I live with, I found through Craigslist and the job I currently have is because of Craigslist.
Of course 99% of the time you'll be fine but that other 1% will land you in a body bag. There have been a couple Craigslist transactions turned homicides on California in the past few years. If and when I do buy or sell something on Craigslist, I always meet in a very busy public place and bring someone with me. Can't be too careful these days sad to say.

Try ping-pong root in the Samsung s6 thread. Beta 6 will root the m9??
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Premium HD app
Simple root on this phone won't really be of much use to the regular user with the way write protection is on this device. The real deal will only arrive when s-off and unlocked bootloader happens.

Can you send me info on this? I have been holding off on the M9 since there's no root. If I can get S-Off for just the shipping costs (cheaper than Sunshine when it becomes available), I'd pick up an M9 ASAP.

Would you work for free? No.... It's common courtesy to tip the person who bought a several hundred dollar Java card for their time and effort.

I could have sworn I read that the Sunshine would work on the Verizon M9, but since there is no root, it doesn't get past the initial part of the Sunshine process... I very likely am mistaken though since all other variants were unlockable on HTCdev.
