your apn settings are wrong.
Well I used the ones a user on here posted and I get great speeds. What APN settings do you suggest?

The ones on straight talks website

Check your apns, but also, if you're usually connected to WiFi, MMS won't send unless you clear the MMS.apk cache. Not sure why this is, but I've tested it multiple times and it seems to be the culprit and solution.

Sorry if it's a repost but this apps search capabilities suck. Pretty much my MMS messages get stuck on sending and then it fails I can't even receive pictures or videos either. Anyone know if this is a Sprint network problem or something else? I'm running the latest CM10 nightly.

Try to change the mms setting or download new setting. usally cm10 will change some setting
Update profile.
Shutdown for 2 minutes.
Power back on.
Turn data on and watch MMS send.

I have sprint gnex and can confirm I can send mms just fine
I think it varies by the Sprint towers because I was in a different city a while ago and I could send and receive MMS but here at home, nothing.

Hi
I just bought a galaxy s iii at t-mobile amd downloaded the foxfi hotspot app. For some reason my devices see the wifi but cant connect. What could be the reason for this? I am in the new unlimited 4G plan with not t-mobile hot spot I would like to use foxfi. Can some I ne help me?

you have to be rooted.
My life for Aiur
No it diesnt need to be rooted with foxfi
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Try looking for the foxfi addon. I heard that it sometimes helps. Also read the instructions when your setting it up.

a lot of those wifi apps claims they work without root, but it is only for certain phones
root your galaxy s3, it is the only way
Ok do you know where I can find a link on how to root the phone? I dont want to brick it since I just got it.

Where are the settings? Not in foxfi?

I've read that foxfi is not yet ready for our phones, maybe in the next update.

If your on the unlimited plan you cant share the network. They block it that's part of the contract no tethering or hotspot.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Worked fine on my phone before I rooted.
Any updates on this issue? Does rotting help make Foxfi work on our S3?
If you are rooted why don't you just use the wifi tether app for root from the play store. I just set my device as a galaxy s2 in the device settings in the app and it works. I am on the unlimited plan.

What settings are you referring to? Foxfi doesn't have any settings options that I've seen.
Yeah there really aren't any settings for this app.
When I try it on mine seems to start ok on the phone but computer can not connection to it.
I have even tried on my old sensation and it dont work with viper rom. Or a stock one s.
I've had the same problem with FoxFi. Install SVTP and set the profile to Samsung ICS. Still $15, but only once and its the only hotspot app I've found that can get around Tmobile's blocks on my stock nonrooted T999.
Im thinking about switching carriers from att to simply mobile will it work with a rooted and flashed galaxy s3? Does anybody know???

No lmao. If u dont know the difference between att radios and tmobile radios, then id advise u not to even bother with rooting and flashing. U can only get and will only get EDGE/2G data speeds. Period

Ok, this may have been covered before but I don't think so.
I'm on Sprint 4.2.1 official. No custom ROM. I am however running AK. I can't send MMS or receive MMS. I have updated my profile, rebooted, etc etc. I do have data enabled and do not have WiFi enabled. Any flash able zips? There are no APN settings being a Sprint phone, well none that I can adjust.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

No. I love the stock MMS so much. Lol. I have flashed different ROMs and stock firmwares to no avail.

the only thing i can think of is to clear the messaging application itself.
you would lose all your texts however.
I delete my messages daily anyway. Haha. I just wish I could take the internals of Go SMS and skin it with 100% stock Android. Lol

For those having issues, have you guys fully ported your Sprint number to Google Voice? Thinking this may be causing some issues. I managed to get MMS received by unchecking the "auto receive" option. Still can't send though. This is frustrating.

That's for T-Mobile from reading it...
"Step 10. Once that’s done restoring, your phone will reboot. Just give it about a minute as it will reboot. Once rebooted, you can insert your T-Mobile SIM card and start enjoying T-Mobile 3G/4G HSPA+!"
Yup. I see that now. Flimflam said that the hack was in that site. Thats the only one I saw that looked relevant to the post. Maybe I missed it somewhere.
