Alright so I was on Blazer 0.1.5 ICS. Voicemail was working, and I decided to rip the voicemail.apk from there and install it on Codename-Android 3.8.0, it worked.
The only problem was I was still getting 9016 messages, and the app itself gets blurry on scroll(only in options menu).
I sent a text to 9999
Block 9016
A reply message to confirm was sent.
Please nandroid backup before you try. I'm not responsible!
I hope you guys try this on your ROM and confirm it here.

Does anyone know how to block the 9016# in messages, everytime I get a voicemail? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Send this text message to 9999:
BLOCK 9016
You'll get a confirmation back. If you need to unblock, just do the same thing but text unblock instead of block.
My visual voicemail stopped working when I did this. Or it could've been when I blocked it through MIUI's DND mode. If you're using Sprint's visual voicemail, you may no longer receive them and have to unblock the number. Note that the visual voicemail issue may only apply to AOSP roms. I haven't ran Sense in almost a year.
You'd then have to find an app that would still allow them to be received, but not show up in your inbox.
Oh, and Google is your friend. I had to resist the urge to lmgtfy.

An app on the market called super private conversation (spc) will block them and you will still receive your vm

That will also (possibly) block VVM from working. Did for me while running MIUI anyway. Of course, YMMV.
Works fine for me you just have to provision vvm first let the initial 2 texts come thru before blocking 9016 and it works fine I've been using it to block those messages on every aosp rom I've run for 2 years on my evo and et4g

Blocking 9016 will cause problems, recently flashed decks pb22, not having 9016 messages, but vvm still having v30 error and voicemail icon remains.

So there are numerous posts and questions on how to get sprint visual voicemail working with miui or aosp roms.
For the life of me I can't get it to work no matter what method I use.
Can someone please help who has successfully got it working on there rom please reply with the exact steps you used.
Would really like to figure out the proper method on this.

Once you have it installed, click the mic icon up top on the right, record whatever(background noise is fine) then click send and send it to [email protected] this will provision the voicemail so that it works. You will receive annoying texts from 9016 everytime you get a new voicemail but using the spam block settings in you messaging app will hide/block them
I like to break stuff!
I have tried that numerous times. All I get is a bunch of 9016 messages but no voicemail ever comes through.

That's weird. Have you tried making a backup in titanium backup of it working on a tw rom and then restoring the app and data on miui?

That's gonna be my next option.

Unfortunately it doesn't work properly on every rom, because if 9016 texts get blocked to the phone completely, then vvm never receives the message, vvm has to receive these messages in order to function. The rom I'm running has a blacklist option that allows me to block 9016 from messaging app only, keeping 9016 coming through to phone, which vvm then picks up perfectly. Their are apps to do this, but some block it totally, which is not what you want.

I have VVM installed. I don't know if it is the right version so if some could point me to the most recent version for GN2 that would be awesome. Anyways... How do I stop the actual text messages from appearing.
Note: I'm on CM10.1

I dont use VVM anymore, but when I did the only way that I found to fix it was to activate another phone on your line, then reactivate your phone on your account. I dont know why it worked, but it did.
For some reason my friends get an error msg when I try and send mms msgs.
"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset."
Can anyone help me out please
