In my betterBatteryStats i see battery monitor kernel wakelock on 1st place ..
What is it ? Im not using any battery saving/monitoring app besides BetterBatteryStats... Is it possible that app itself is draining battery ? Should i uninstall it then ?
Kernel Wakeclock.
BBB only drains a small amount of battery.

Try this app
Deep Sleep Battery Saver Pro or Deep Sleep Battery Saver
OR
update to the new version dr ketan v6 is now available
install BBS and see which wakelocks causing the battery drain.
can you specify more detail about how fast your battery drain? any background apps is running? Some time it is depend on how user use the phone. Like me everyday i charge me phone for 1 time and my wifi is on more or less 8 hours and play some social apps. For me it is reasonable
Quick method

Quick Method :
1. Turn off data & wifi and check drain for 8 hrs. If you find its much better check individual apps that connect to internet and see which is consuming more juice.
If not :
2. Instal wakelock detector & post the screenshot here.
can u tell tha estimetad time drining the batt? before and after drketan rom
Hey guys
I recently installed CM12 (official version) but i noticed that it eats up alot of battery alot quicker than my stock ROM
i installed better battery stats and started recording stuff but idk how to read the information it provides

You could also try a cpu app such as no frills cpu to set the min and max frequencies.
I don't want to mess with clocks till I have expended all my other options. Do you guys know how to use the information betterbattery stats record?

Set BBS to show stats since Unplugged.
Charge your device so that it is fully charged just before going to bed.
Unplug and let it set idle overnight. This will let you know about background processes consuming battery, as opposed to you actually using the phone and consuming battery.
First thing in the morning open BBS. Click the share icon at the top left of the screen. Select the Text Dumpfile option and then Save. You could then take screenshots of the BBS pages; especially Partial Wakelocks, Other, and Alarms.
There are active threads with participants who are very familiar with interpreting the BBS results obtained.

You could also try dkp kernel. Search the forums here. I've heard you can get better battery life with it on cm12.
Phone: SGH-I747 (ATT GS3)/ROM: CM 11 15-04-26 Nightly/Delta Gapps with Modular Addons by Deltandroid/Kernel: DKP/Xposed Framework: 2.6.1/Recovery: TWRP 2.8.7.0
Is there any good apps that can show you which component/app that drains your battery. Don´t think that the inbuilt in android works that well as you only see system and not the actual componenet.

Hey guys
After flashing the gpe 6.0 rom, I've experienced a massive battery drain. After investigating with Gsam, I discovered that the kernel is eating up 88% of my battery. What can I do to fix it? I've attached screenshots.
P.S is it possible that xposed is causing it?
Anyone have a recommendation for a diagnostic tool I can check this out with?

Hello,
You may be able to have an in-depth battery usage with:
GSam Battery Monitor - Apps on Google Play
GSam Battery Monitor provides deep insights into what is using your battery.
play.google.com
Also, maybe some wakelock preventing your phone to go in deep sleep..?
There used to be an app: "better battery stats" (on XDA). Not sure it is supported on Android Q or R though.
Good luck...
Sébastien.
