I thought I would ask the forums here. I have a Ramos W30 tablet which has the same processor as the Galaxy Note 2. Can I port one of the Galaxy Note 2 roms to this device since it has the same processor? Bearing in mind that I'm not a programmer of sorts.
thanks.
It's not only about processors. There are a lot of other components in a phone. If you know developing, then go ahead. Anythings possible at xda

actually it is possible but there are a few ramos w30 user so none will try.
Hi,
Thinking of selling my Galaxy Note 10.1 and getting a Note II to replace my phone.
ONLY think I'm still concerned about is, what is it like to read digital comics on the Note II? This is something the Note 10.1 does really well, and probably what I would miss most. On my current Galaxy S2 the text in comics is way too small. If I can move to a Note 2 I can potentially ditch the Note 10.1.
So can the Note 2 do comics? What I'm thinking is the Note II has basically the same screen resolution as the Note 10.1 - that's a plus.
But it has a much smaller screen - that's a minus.
What do you think? Anybody read digital comics on this device? Also interested in magazines/books in general.
Lots of comics reader on the play store. .. you can read comics comfortably in the note 2.(awesome Screen)..I also have a note 8 which is better than the note 10.1 for that

How does it compare between reading them on the Note 2 and a tablet? Do you have a strong preference?
Hey,
I read my comics on Note II with Komik reader, and I love it. Obviously screen is not as large as a tablet, there's that - aside from that, you wouldn't mind this at all. In fact, I find it far more comfortable to read comics on Note because of it's weight compared to a tablet. Which is why much prefer using my N2 over my Nexus 7 for reading comics. That's my opinion obviously.
Hello, xdaDevs,
I recently got my Galaxy Note 8.0 (N5110) and I was surprised by the tiny number of ROMs for it.
Well, I thought I may be able to do something about that.
First off, I've not asked anyone about permissions to port their ROM yet.
So, what got me interested in porting a ROM for the Note 8 was a tutorial on XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2284985
As the Note 8.0 and the 10.1n hardware looks mostly the same ( Both have an Exynos 4412, the 10.1 has Rev 1.1 and the Note 8 has Rev 2.0, they share a Mali-400 GPU, the resolution is the same as is the soundchip. )
A problem could be the lack of HW-Buttons on the Note 10.1...
So, xdaDevs, following the tutorial on the site I linked to above, how likely will I succeed? How likely will I brick my device if I have made a Nandroid backup on TWRP?
Is there anything I haven't considered?
someone's ported the galax Y 8rom to the gn2 so I'd suspect the 101 to the 8 should be doable.
Hello, I own Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note 8.0, but I'm considering getting Note 2 instead of those two I got. Just wondering what is the screen difference between those devices? Some websites appear differently on S2 and Note 8 using mobile agent on both browsers. Even wh3n they are the same there is a lot more stuff on Note 8's screen.
My question is what is Note 2 closer to: S2 or Note 8? Is it huge phone or small tablet? Of course considering what's appearing on screen and hum much is it.

Note 2 is close to a tablet but still a phone. So for me it is at the edge. However, you can not compare it with a S2 it is much bigger and I think it is a great alternative to these 2 devices. Because the S2 is too small as a phone and a 8" is too small as a tablet for me as well. Tablet should be at least 9,7"
Does any body know anything about these devices?
Their profiles appeared at http://wap.samsungmobile.com/ and they look bad for new devices... Resolution is just 1024x768... Or may be, it some kind of developer board.

Beware!!
Native Screen Resolution of 1024 x 768
I could live with resolution but I am just so sick of Samsung and their craptastic updates. Same generation as Note 3 yet no lollipop insight. I paid T-Mobile $700 least they can do is treat their customers to reasonable updates
Any root on Galaxy Tab A 8" with S-Pen (SM-P350) ?
Guys there are roots for both 8 n 9 " Galaxy Tab A n Tab A plus.
