EVA is a must have app if you want to use voice to increase your productivity. It's like Siri but with so many more useful functions you will wonder why it doesn't come standard with Android.

Why no T9 Dialer in Jelly Bean?

How do I get T9 on the stock dialer on Jelly Bean?
Why does Android always leave out T9 dialing? It is the most useful feature on the dialer? Pure stupidity.
At this point, I'm assuming that they leave it out for legal reasons- T9 is probably patented by Apple or something... Right?
theres also no T9 dialer on ICS, at least on stock ICS, it was implemented by someone else
You'll have to download an external app from the Play Store to get this functionality.
It would be nice, but doesn't everyone just use quick shortcuts? Or type the name into the Google search bar which searches contacts too? That's likely why they don't implement t9 search.

Talking to your phone is not always the most convenient this to do. Especially if there is background noise.

Yes, but why would one be making a call if there was too much background noise? :screwy:

Youlu Address Book
android never had a T9 dialer unless it was a custom one from Samsung or HTC or other.
The ICS dialer is just a custom stock dialer with the functionality injected. Works like a champ though and sorely missed.

That's a fantastic way to do it. If you only have 20 numbers in your phone book. Try having 500+, and you'll get about 25% success rate with voice dialing.
Most of the time, voice dialing isn't even close. I had way more success under ICS. I've noticed that although the voice on the phone pronounces mobile as "Mo-bill" if you say it that way, it thinks you're saying "home". Ugh.
I hated using 3rd party programs in the past on my HTC hero and Xperia X10, but I suppose phones were much slower back then.
Dialer One seemed to be the fastest and pretty lean on resources back when I used it. I'll probably try it again if I can't find a ripped stock dialer with T9 functionality injected into it.
I'm at work and, to be honest, just plain lazy at the moment, but has anyone tried to pull the phone.apk from an ICS rom that has t9 on it? Believe thats where it is stored. Idk if the framework will be so different as to not allow that to work on JB, but nothing a good nandroid couldn't fix if it doesn't work. Just a suggestion.

Google awesomebeatsv3 and flash that I don't care for beats but when tuned right its sounds good and much louder than volume + which did nothing for my sprint galaxy nexus but I am in android 4.1 that could be why.

Dude, holo is the name that Google gave the major ICS ui elements. It means he wishes it was more ICS-themed.

[Q] Tweetbot twitter app.....

I was wondering if somebody can port TweetBot from iOS to Android??? It's a twitter app available only for iOS. Thanks in advance!
Anybody?
Porting iOS apps to Android is generally something that only the original developer can do (unless it's open source or something). I would advise that you contact the TweetBot developer directly.
