Google awesomebeatsv3 and flash that I don't care for beats but when tuned right its sounds good and much louder than volume + which did nothing for my sprint galaxy nexus but I am in android 4.1 that could be why.

For the longest time most Android camera apps are incapable of auto adjusting exposure to suit the touch-focus area, a feature that's found in HTC Sense camera and iOS camera. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just realized that this feature has finally been added to Jelly Beam on GNexus!! For this feature alone I'll stick with Jelly Bean instead of AOKP ICS.
Just wanted to share this as I thought some might find it useful.
Cheers.

Edit: I'm really surprised by how many people have absolutely no idea what touch-exposure is. The keywords are highlighted in red above. If you still have no idea what it does, borrow an iPhone from your friend, try touch-focus a few different areas with different brightness levels within the same view, you'll know what I'm talking about. Sadly most people don't even know what they are missing out....
This is awesome if true!
You do aokp will start working on jb as soon as the source comes out....

Of course, but until then, this makes it easy for me to choose between AOKP ICS & JB.
another feature I miss in camera is the pause button while recording video, unfortunately this as not been added
How'd you realize the finally implemented it?

im running JB but how do I use it? is it just an auto function?
I think it's automatic... uh "touch-auto-exposure" is in the name. Wherever you touch on the screen automatically applies the correct exposure.
You can also take pictures while recording video, just tap on screen.

I'm always baffled why Google didn't implement this earlier. iOS and HTC Sense have had it for a while.
And guess what, even Galaxy S3 still does NOT have this feature..
better known as touch to focus :silly:
I'm confused. What exactly are we talking about? Does touch-to-focus do something it didn't do before? And autofocus doesn't do it?
I think Touch to Focus was absent in AOSP until JB. I used it today without realizing it is a new feature, works exactly as it should.
Sorry if this has already been posted or in wrong section, and I take no credit for it but I found it to be pretty cool. To add soft keys to rooted stock touchwiz rom all you have to do is add this line to the build prop and reboot.
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Or you could just download "Soft keys" from the Play store!!!!!

You can do whatever you want.... I just thought it was interesting that it wasn't completely disabled and was easily added...If you don't like it or have something else you use, that's great.

Download it, get the apk and zip it in the ROM, or you can use TB to integrate it into ROM.

Why would I do that? I just edited the build prop and it's there...... I understand there are other ways to get soft keys. But I wanted them built in like the galaxy nexus so when I found this mod I thought I'd share......

Agree with you. I am using the same method on my HD2 CM9 for 8 months now.
My SGS3 will arrive today and I am glad that this method will apply to rooted stock rom. Was wondering if this method CM rom only or also stock rom.
Thank you for your information.
IMO this method is way better than some softkey apps because it doesn't use ram and is native like.
will this work on cm10?

I would love to disable my hard keys. I am new at this stuff, so forgive my ignorance.
I have a t-mobile unlocked 32gb white rooted with AOKP jellybean- 4th release
And I cannot find any other mods to the physical buttons, like making the home button a camera button. Not as important, but would love to know if you can tell me.
Thanks!

Look in the android development section. I made one to disable the hardware keys. And someone else made one to change home button to camera button.

Not that I've tried. I did a few of them like volume+ and speaker booster but nothing worked. I wonder how the touchwiz based roms had the volume booster in aroma, and there was a 4.1.2 rom (Csrom the bmb I think) that had volume boost but was aosp. If i find one ill report back but so far Im waiting to see if anyone else can help.

Any one know of any apps that handle multitasking like the Nexus devices do, or even better like how CM10 handles it?

The Nexus devices show a transparent floating list on the right side of the screen where you can swipe away open apps, CM goes one step further and gives you a button to close all open apps. The HTC One takes you to another screen with really small pictures of apps you swipe away one by one to close. Ideally I am looking for the CM version of that, or would even settle for the stock Google version.
Wait until the Google edition then flash that.

You see the whole part about me posting here is that I don't want to wait. But thanks for the suggestion.
TrickDroid rom has an option in its settings to change from sense multitasking to the nexus style you are referring to. Only thing is there is no close all option like CM.

Its a framework change. I've done it before on another phone. And by the way, you don't need to wait for the google edition. CM10.1 is exactly that with more features.

You'll probably have to ask someone to make it for you specifically, or Flash TrickDroid which isn't far off a stock rom other than some theme options
