Recent apps list - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Hello everybody. I really like cm10, but it's too buggy for me. So i decided to choose cm9 for everyday use. Unfortunately i've noticed some kind of discomfort of using recent apps list - there is no "clear recent apps list" button on right top. So question is - can anybody mod recent apps list by adding this button? It's only one thing why i dislike cm9.
P.S. sorry for my english, i'm just 15 y.o. and living in middle asia

I don't remember on ics but on jb you have to go in interface options-> general ui -> tick on enable kill all button, so you can try to search for some similar function cause jb is similae to ics

Hi All,
I just installed "Sandvold's ICS BETA" and quiet like it. But would it be possible to rid off the google search bar from the top of the screen ?
Or its a must have suprise from google ?
(I don't think its usefull on each screen, or at all... :S )
Kind regards,
Tom

Either delete GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk in /system/app or check the launcher's settings.

I am back to LeeDroids ROM at the moment but I was using Sanvold's ROM until a few days ago. There is a menu setting for to get rid of the search bar but I can't remember precisely where off the top of my head. The wording is something like "Enable persistent searchbar", if you uncheck this, it will be gone.
When you install the rom, choose in the installer for the nova launcher option. It has the option to disable the searchbar.
Menu -> Nova Settings -> Desktop -> Persistent Search Bar -> Never
It's the same on Apex launcher. I don't know if you can disable it on stock launcher, but the alternatives are also more customisable.
Use Nova and simply remove the bar.
On my Desire wihit ICS beta 0.4.4, I just have to remove it like a widget.

[REQUEST] Remove All!

Can someone create a mod to make an option to remove all running apps in the multitasking menu?

Well technically they aren't "running" as long as you use the back button to get out of them. Those are recently used apps.
good day.
No I second this request. Those are running in the background if they are displayed in the Tasks menu.
MIUI already has a FANTASTIC way of doing this. It not only looks most visually pleasing but also has a "Close All" button so your not sitting there swiping each opened window for 5 minutes. Very sweet feature that I liked about ICS MIUI.
This really needs to be ported to other non-MIUI roms. I don't know if the Tasker is just a simple APK that can be moved over to other roms. Maybe ask some of the developers of the MIUI ports for help.
The apps displayed are simply the most recently used apps. It is NOT a list of apps running in the background. This is a qualifiable fact.

it's not necessary at all

[REQUEST] Menu Button Mod

coming from a GNex, i really miss the on screen "menu" button being in the top right hand corner for ICS apps. by having a hardware menu button the SGS3 takes feature away, and its my only issue with the phone.
Its an ICS phone, I WANT it to work like ICS. The downside to this is, if implemented itll probably introduce the software menu dots for non ICS apps like the ONE X. I own a ONE X and dont have an issue with them
I personally think Samsung was too lazy to update their own stock apps to ICS native style and such put in a menu bottom (Conspiracy)
Nway, if you can help itd be mighty appreciated
+1

How to transfer some ROM options into another ROM

Hey people
so I switched between some ROMs the last month and cant really decide on which one to stay...
the perfect match would be a smart combination of some...
for example:
I much use the SWIPE Android AOSP Keyboard on CM10,1 that allows me to use SWIPE in hebrew which i use frequently. Its the only ROM where I found this till now.
But in CM10.1 is navbar customization missing, for example i like to use the kill app function on long press the back button which can be found on Xylon or XenonHD.
So the question is if i can copy the CM10.1 Keyboard to Xylon/XenonHD - or the kill app on long press function into CM10.1
thank you
Use a 4.2 keyboard apk with Xylon/Xenon.
I dont get it. I am on 4.2.1 and the original android Keyboard apk doesnt allow SWIPE in hebrew. It's a CM10.1 mod or something like this.
Would backing up the keyboard with Titanium Backup do the job? Or would I just keeping getting Errors?
You can try that. Worst case scenario you just un install it with TB.
I am not running CM currently to verify this, but there is an option for "Kill App Back Button" in developers options in my current ROM.

[Q] Expanded desktop feature on stock (rooted) ROM?

Is possible to have the expanded desktop feature (I love it with Sygic navigator and for browsing) in the stock rooted 4.2.1 ROM?
question bump
I have used hidebar on my non-cm'd tablet and find it quite good. There are reviews from people with the GN too, so should work. You get a nice popup menu to get your home/menu/back button back without having to show the bar again to...

I believe there are free alternatives too if you want to search

Nice find!
Also GMD Hide Bar works fine. The best would be a power button integration...
