I'm having a couple of problems since upgrading my phone to MIUI 2.12.21. It seems that researching the issue, the Toolbox has been removed and to my knowledge, there isn't an easy means of getting it back. Is there something else I can download that will change the operator logo on the Status Bar? It takes of almost 50% of the Status Bar. I tried calling ROGERS but they said there isn't a means to changing it without "Jailbreaking" your phone, to which I assume she meant "Rooting".
I didn't tell her I rooted my S3 because I didn't want that information on my account, but I've already installed the latest version of MIUI, but with the Toolbox gone, I can't find a means of changing the operator logo on the status bar.
The second problem I'm having is that the Google Voice Input key on the keyboard seems to be missing. It was replaced with a "," or a "/". She said there was an Android update which removed the Voice Input key on the S3. I tried holding down the input key to see if it would default back, but it only took me to the Keyboard Input Settings. Changing anything in there still didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?

Can anyone point me to a registry key that tells the Phone Keyboard to expand/open when the HTC dialer opens. It was working fine and then it spontaneously stopped appearing. The icon at bottom center is still there and I can tap it to bring it up. But I would prefer the default arrangement where it opens with the Dialer. ROM is XBMod 2.03 but I have posted it here as it is quite possible a generic setting that would be of use to any ROM. To clarify - the Phone Keyboard SIP is selected - that is not the issue. The Problem is that the dialer comes up with is minimised at the bottom.
Rather not hard reset but will do that if the answer is not obvious.
i couldn't find a definitive answer for this, so I'm throwing my question out there:
I just moved to Starburst 1.3.3.4 from LeeDroid 2.3d, and now I find that Starburst, despite having Chinese language support, lacks the Chinese toggle that the stock HTC keyboard had (w/ LeeDroid had too).
Does anyone know how to put in the Chi language toggle? I've tried downloading Google's IME, and although it installed, nothing changed.
You have to change the input since you installed a new keyboard. Open up the keyboard in sms or something and in a text field, right click, well press down for few seconds and menu will pop up, select input method and change it.
Accidental discovery of solution

Yep, stumbled onto this solution when my finger strayed a second too long into the SMS text box. Whaddaya know, voila! --input method came up, and the keyboard with Google IME I installed showed up.
Thanks anyway, appreciate your dropping by to assist.
I have recently upgraded my DHD to 2.3.3 and everything seems to work just fine except for one thing.
In the dialer, the area above the buttons usually show my recent call list and if I press any numbers it shows quick contacts lookup.
After the upgrade however, this area is blank. I played a bit around with the dialer and noticed that if I press a few numbers and then delete them again, the blank area is suddently showing the contacts list again (as it is supposed to). After that it works as it normally would in the dialer.
I talked to a few others which have similar problems but we havent been able to pinpoint a pattern for why this happens.
Anyone inhere have the same problem and more importantly - anyone that knows how to fix this?
I did a normal upgrade without factory reset - one of the other guys with the problem did a factory reset as well.
If you are using a non-stock launcher (ADW / LauncherPro etc...) you must delete the shortcut from your homescreen or dock, and re-add it. Also, if you launch phone from the app drawer, it should appear normal.
How did you work that out? Very impressed! Been bugging me for days.
I have a weird thing going on with my sprint (rooted on stock rom) gs3. Out of nowhere the keyboard input notification keeps showing. I had the Google voice input unchecked and it was staying that way after a reboot, but now it turns on automatically after each reboot. I haven't done anything at all, no mods, no apps were downloaded.
How can I make the option stick?
Thanx.
Notice that the Google voice typing setting got checked on its own while I had the phone on.
For some reason I suspect the Google search.
Has anyone noticed that while long pressing for symbols on the Xperia keyboard that it will randomly return the wrong symbol and if so do you know of a fix?
It displays other symbols. I checked the setting and I don't think you can change that behavior. You could use another keyboard.
what language your are using? also update to the newest version of xperia keyboard, never happend with me
(z5p, on .305 )
I think it was a dirty flash. I had flashed Customized AU 305 but did not wipe everything and now that I have gone back to Customized SG I no longer have that issue. It also messed with my messaging app because when I would share a picture and select who to send it to it would send it to a different recipient.
