I dropped my phone from the waist level and the phone is still running without problems.... i just what to know the durability of this phone when it comes on dropping accidents ...

Good evening Ali.exe!
I dropped my gio very often! XD Height? Up to 50 centimeters ^^
But it works, yeah it works.
Greetz.
I Droped it from my side of sofa armrest
Cuz i was charging (2 times)and using it then droped it on Ground(2 times). Still working

I dropped my gio like 7-8 times xD
2 times
but the phone is working without problems
Sorry for my bad englisch
About 5, 6 times, still working great.
I have dropped it like 7 times at least. Highest i think is from my chest level and the most scary one was on the street from waist level and it slid on the asphalt for like 4 metres on the screen. Fortunately I have a screen protector and it saved my screen. Some scratches on the protector and some dents on the outer silverish ring but it is still working perfectly.

Gio is soooo stable! xD
i have dropped it 4-5 times and still works great.
also i saw this on youtube the other day that shows how solid this phone is if its dropped in water...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWls8wrLe7c
but i am not going to experience it
i have dropped my gio 2-3 times and its runs as good as new
I think I've dropped it for like 10-15 times. Usually from table height, or when walking and texting. So sometimes it is pretty high.
But he still works like a charm!
Well i dropped it a few times , maybe 10. The worst were one time when i dropped it from height on mud on the street and the other , well i was reading a book on it and i fell asleep , my alarm woke me up and i got out from bed fast and the phone was on the blanket so when i got up it flew almost to the ceiling , hit a side wall and back down on the floor ) still working perfectly though
I dropped my gio maybe 3 times
One time my brother droped my gio from the sofa to the ceramic (maybe 30 cm)
and it works fine
I killed my brother by a knife

Mine got dropped about three times, it only fell from waist height, but what makes it worse is that it fell to rough asphalt. Some of the edges appear scratched but the display is still crystal clear
And it still runs fine too lol

hi,
I just dropped my glass with cola, wich my sister putted directly near the computer mice, where also my phone was laying because I had it conenected to my pc. then I wasnt paying attention, had a tablet and was gaming (much thing at the same time I know.. ) on it, then moved the mouse, and the cola was everywhere, also on my phone. the first thing I did was cleaning my phone, then the mice and keyboard and the floor.
im very lucky maybe, but my gio survived, thanks to my screen protector.
everything still working fine, as far as I know.
only the floor is a bit sticky, even as the mouse pad,..,
long live my screen protector.
And thus, a New meme was born

ofcourse, I wouldn't say yes if I had water on my screen, cola can be annoying and sticky, but lucky it isn't.
the cola whas on my screen protector, on the home key, on the sound thing at the front to call with, and also at the back a bit, so I think im quite lucky with that.
so a bit water isn't worse, but if its much, it is. so just get your mobile phone out of your pocket when going to swim or something, unless in a cola pool.
FYI , most phones are splash resistant.
As long as you don't fully submerge the device, it will function

hmm.... i read somewhere that phones are very unprotected against water, for example the article said that if you answer the phone in rain frequently it will eventually give your phone an early death. It also said that newer phones gets worse and worse in this problem
getting a random reboot one in a hour or 2... maybe the cola stilll did something.. hopefully not

By the way: the best method to deal with water damage is isopropylic alcohol.
XDA's Adam Outler explains this here alongside his critique of the RAZR.

I'm kinda confused, a lot of people complaining about screen being prone to scratch, a lot complaining about not being gorilla glass etc etc...
As the other guy how had his one x going down from the second window floor and still working fine.
Had switch my yellowish Xperis S to th one X that arrived at home today but i'm on a trip so tomorrow is a big day, huge expectation about it after frequenting this forum for like 2 weeks now!
Hopefully no screen flex, bad screen ripple, gps or any other issue!

Wow these videos are amazing, at least i don't have to worry about my phone too much now. Especially after that one dude on here dropped his from a window and it survived
Beat that SIII
Shock & awe!
just plain wow! Now I'm prouder with my HTC One X more than ever!
Next time I get into an argument with an iPhone or Samsung user, I'm gonna smash his brains in with my HOX!!!!
Even better, someone should do a phone fight off video, where they smash the phones against each other, like HOX vs SIII or HOX Vs iPhone!!!
One day before my protective screen arrived I accidentally dropped my work phone over the HOXs' screen. It's a heavy blackberry and I was sure it would have damaged the screen. To my surprise there was not a single micro scratch there. Nonetheless the protective screen arrive and I´m happy to have it on
My HOX got run over
So today i dropped my HOX and my mates car ran it over... needless to say i was crapping my pants when i was picking it up to see the damage but to my surprise nothing!!!!! Not even a scratch, dent or anything! I am using a plastic case and a screen protector so that would have absorbed a lot of the punishment but still very happy no damage to the phone!

We might need a little bit more information in order to conclude on the importance of the fact.
What was the floor like ? did it have any kind of protection ? did you happen to be in outer space ?

Is yours kinda bulgy and lumpy, does it sit almost half way out of the phone?
I noticed mine has a few bumps and bulges where the 3 batteries are and that made me wonder if one of more of them were exploded and if it'd still work with one part being exploded and the rest one or two not being impacted by it.

Mines like that to so I wouldn't worry about it if anything they probably would maybe send you a different one

The back of mine is bumpy, two bumps where the top two batteries are then bottom battery is solid and flat but sits in the compartment rather cockeyed raising up up and out at a angle... Also I typically get a days use out of it now suddenly. Bought it used, dunno if it was defective or I damaged it by keeping phone on a constant charge more so than usual. But I thought/figured the two top batteries were supposed to be at a solid flat level, not a humpity hump level.
Bumps....yeh
Got those too....but the ZL works perfectly...g

Here's the battery, even the tech at the phone repair shop said that's not normal. Also the bulging got so bad the cover wouldn't fit anymore, around the s-pen slot it would never stay sealed and closed there,

Do NOT go snorkeling with your Note 4 in your pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was the day of my friend's wedding and the groom and I wanted to go snorkeling before the sunset wedding......and well, I was out there about 30 minutes before realizing it was still in my swimsuit pocket.....
I knew there was probably no hope, doused it with alcohol, rice'd it for over a week......and of course it's dead. I luckily had my Note 3 with me in Hawaii so I switched to it, and I got myself a Nexus 6 for christmas...thankfully.
But here's a picture of the inside to cringe at!

First off, great username. Second, OUCH. Nice pic of the mess though, kinda one of those "and now I know" things.
You could always try an ultrasonic cleaner. I've brought back some phones back from the dead. Used isopropyl alcohol and ran them through couple times if they were really bad. Scrubbed everything with a toothbrush after and ran though the cleaner one last time. Sometimes you get some parts you might have to change out but something is better than nothing...
You're either from Hawaii or a climate that doesn't get snow. Somebody who only gets 3 months of warm weather would never have this issue.

Thanks for the pic that is crazy! It is hard to tell from the pic where are the other liquid damage indicators besides the one behind the battery. My 2 day old note 4 took a dive in the toilet and I got it out after a couple days all is back to normal but I was wondering if I tripped and damage indicators. Thanks

Note 4 isn't water resistant... never was.
Man, that's unfortunate. At least you had the backup. I would say the thing that really killed it was salt-water. If you were in fresh water there may have been a chance, but that salt water messes stuff up quick.
Stop it with the snide comments. There is no need to be childish. Thread cleaned. Last warning.
