I cleared the data from the app on my phone and now it won't sync? I already uninstalled updates and reinstalled and tried syncing again but no luck. It just gives the options to shop for music, upload music to my library, or download o device via USB. Will I have to just download music files to my phone via USB?
Thanks

Go to settings-accounts-google and to your account. does it show your google music there. if not, remove your gmail account and re add from there. happened once to me too.
I love how I can root my phone but not even manage the sync setting properly lol. I might have turned sync off and forgotten in an effort to conserve battery. I had to manually sync from there, guess I was over thinking it. Thank you!

Not sure how it happened, but for most of my contacts I have about 3 identical google profiles for...I noticed this when I go to send a text...I get about 3 cell #s, 3 home #s, etc for each person...wondering if there is something I'm missing to clear out? Thanks in advance, just mildly annoying

Might be a stupid question but..... have you checked your google account? Are they on there multiple times too?
Do you have more than one gmail account linked with your android phone? If so, do you also have these contacts on separate accounts?
Go to your contacts app and hit the menu button and check your display options too. See if something weird's going on there.
Or you can delete the data for your contacts through the Application manager and let it resync in case data was corrupted some how.

I actually get the same thing but I'm heavily modded and just live with it. For me I'm on 1.1 of Srf and running the honeycomb theme of amosher. Also sync across two main mail accounts with my mandatory Gmail account not being one of them.

Clear the google services framework data.
First, I must apologize for posting in the wrong forum...meant to put in Q&A...sorry. And thanks for the suggestions...I cleared the data in the contacts storage, clear google services framework...reset the sync...unfortunately nothing worked...just weird...shows like 3 linked google accts under every contact...I can delete them manually, but upon reboot, they come right back...oh well, guess I'll just deal with it too...thanks again!

Go to the sync settings and uncheck the Contacts option on all but one of them and then reset it again.
Login to Gmail on a PC and try merging duplicates under contacts/more actions.
Nicenice...yours was the winner...thank you! & thanks to all who responded, I appreciate it

Happened to me once.. I've always had my contacts on gmail, but I once used a different back up app that restored my contacts, suddenly, I had two gmail entries for every person.. both on my phone and in gmail.. solution was to go on gmail on a comp and delete dup contacts

Hey all,
Been having an issue and wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same thing.
I recently added a second Gmail account for my school email, and the first time it automatically downloaded some apps that I guess were downloaded from the market under that account. This is fine and I expected that, however...
I deleted all of the apps it downloaded because I don't want them anymore. A little while later it proceeded to download them all AGAIN without me doing anything. I deleted them a second time and then when I got home and connected to the wifi, it again downloaded all of the same apps.
Any idea on why it is doing this?
Thanks

Settings > Backup and Reset > Uncheck automatic restore.

Thanks. So it's normal for it to "restore" my apps more than once after adding an account, and after I delete them multiple times?

Is anyone besides me having an issue with the calendar not syncing events between android devices. I have a LTE Gnex and my events will not show up on either my Zoom, computer, work Droid X2 or my wife's Razr.
They will only appear on the device they were entered on. Syncing worked perfectly for about a month and then it just stopped working.
I did a Google search online and apparently this is a fairly widespread issue. Any thoughts?

You do have sync enabled in your options, right?
Both app and system sync settings?

Yes to both.

I often find that I need to delete the cache and reboot the device in order to see changes update. The first key is to ensure that you can see your information on your computer's web browser calendar.
Anyone unable to get Google music to refresh with new music when you upload new stuff? I've tried rebooting and hitting that *refresh* button (which does nothing) but nothing works. The only fix I've found is to clear all data but that clears your offline music to so its a hassle. Anyone know if any workarounds?

Go settings -> accounts & sync--> Google --> sync Google play music
Touch music to sync now.

I don't see it as an option :/ can you take a SS of where it is by any chance? Thanks

If you're talking about local music, I get the same issue and restarting the phone works for me.

Since this issue still pops up on forums sometimes to other users that are searching the internet for it:
Sitaramp is talking about the phone's overall settings, not the app settings.
I have turned off most of the syncing but pictures from blogger and Picasa still show up. I have cleared all app data for gallery and media storage + rebooted too.

uncheck "Sync Google Photos" in your sync settings?
Thanks but that isn't checked either.

Perhaps delete your google account and then re add it without picasa sync?
Just to make sure, disable Instant Upload for Google+.

You need to delete the cache AND saved data for the gallery app after disabling sync. Once those files are gone the synced photos will not show up.
