Idea for a "new" rom :) - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all today I was "playing" with my desire z and I thought that what I really miss in cm7 (or every non sense Rom based on gb) are some sense 3.x apps like contacts (really like it ) camera and so on, so I just ask if someone is in interested in develop a Rom based on gb and sense 3.x without rosie and "stupid" things like widgets and unuseful apps.
Something fast but still usable and comfortable (a de-sensed Rom)
The sane thing could be done with sense 4.0
Thanks

[Q] Sense 4.0

Whats the difference of Sense 4.0 and sense 4.0 lite and whats sense 3.6??
interesting me
thanks
Good thread...
Inviato dal mio Desire HD usando Tapatalk
Sense 4.0 is the full version of sense 4.0 that you might have seen in videos of the HTC one x and HTC one s! Sense 4.0A (lite) is the version found on the HTC one v and is a liter version of 4.0. Most of the 3D animations have been taken away and small changes have been made here and there. This is because the one v is a single processor phone (like our dhd) so a liter version was made for the phone to make it easy to handle. Sense 3.6 is basically sense 3.5 with the ics roboto font, a couple of changes in quick settings and that's about it...not much to sense 3.6 if you see videos of sense 4.0 and then try one of the sense 4.0 lite roms....you will spot the differences! Hope that has cleared it, anyone else can add to this if I have missed something out

Does any one think we will see sense 4 lite fully ported before we get sense 3.6 ics update?

Agreed; Sense 3.6 looks so old now. It still bears the same flip clock which was introduced on the HTC Diamond in 2008!
At first I detested the new clock; but now I love it! It looks very modern and elegant
Been using Primo-S sense 4 ROM for just over a week myself, and seemingly prefer it over 3.5.
Kind of missing the weather animations though that came with Sense 3.0+ but that's about it, hopefully it's back in Sense 4 full.
I myself don't like that absence of the menu button and stuff like that.
I think I sensation XL gets an official ICS upgrade on Monday so I'd rather port that then the Once V version !

[Q] changing recent apps' style to ics recent apps' style

Hi guys
I'm wondering if there's a posibility of changing htc one x's recent apps' style to ICS recent apps' style? because the Ics's is more practically and doesn't drain the battery.
another thing is , do you know how to make the sense allow me to add more than seven panels or homescreens? because I need to put a lotta widgets there and 7 isn't enough for me and I don't wanna use other launchers because if I did I lose sense widgets.
thanks

I think it's custom the rom name is:
Leedroid
sorry I'm not into developing that much can you tell me what does stock mean?
please help .
I have the same question for a different ROM, this what I posted on another more general Revolution HD thread,.
"I'm running Android Revolution HD 7.0.0 with franco r10 kernel and have 'no-sense'd it using ROM cleaner.
Is there a way to change the look and feel of the recent apps UI to be like the stock ICS one that you get on the cm9 ROMs? That is, a vertical scrolling 2D list rather than the 3D card shuffling you get by default on the One X.
Searching the forums here and the rest of the net I think I've got as far as working out it's in SystemUI.apk, but I've no idea if that is interchangeable between ROMs; I doubt it is.
I realise this is a very minor annoyance, but any help would be greatly appreciated!"

Can Senseless ROMs use the Sense Camera, or has the entire Sense framework been ripped out?
Sense apps cannot be used on senseless Rom. Period.
what nonSENSE
They just remove the Rosie launcher in nonSense rom.
No way to get that camera in to cm10
Wait, I remember using a Miui Rom with Sense Camera. I'm 100% sure, so; No, I'm not lying

I'm using this MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952325 and it has the sense camera...I was using CM10, moved to this and its awesome
sent via a Different Concept
Well the Senseless roms are just the normal sense rom with removed launcher, so the framework is still there and you should be able to use the camera.
As for CM and such, it doesn't have the framework, and putting it on there would be copyright infringement, or something of the sort. Atleast thats what i have understood so far.
Thanks to you all.
Try Viper ROM
ViperX 2.7.1 it is a sense rom, with stock kernel is the best. I tried others, but my phone never had that smooth performance and battery live. I've seen many go to CM, MIUI, Jellybeans and come back. Any way, thats my advice.

Clean Sense ROM

Hi,
I know there is the Index and lot's of other Threads like this and there is also your friend called search and google. But after tring to make my own ROM - and failing with this - i'm now looking for a ROM like this:
- Fully working (3G, GPS, Market, Wi-Fi, Camera, Active Sync,...)
- I don't need the radio if this feature is not available.
- A really clean ROM. So no brandings, no tweaks, or something like this.
- an A2SD script. I don't care whether it's amalruz, or Dark tremor, or what ever. It should work and that's it.
- Sense ROM. If possible Sense 4.x () But if not possible i would also take 3.x. I defently should have the Lock Ring.
I hope you can help me there to found a ROM
Thank you
This one is good

+1 u should try it
Thanks for the link.
I had the SuperSense from RSK and it wasn't that good. I'll try this.
Is there a Sense 4 theme for the ROM??
Yes I believe there is... There's even a sense 5 theme I think
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Yes i found a Sense 3 Theme and the Sense 5 Theme, but Sense 5 seams to be like 3 for me
Did someone knows an download for Sense 4 theme??
Some of your requirements exclude each other. If you wish clean, stable and fast I'd use Cool sense v3 or An-Droid which I used for over a year. If ring is a must - which is a hack per se and thus excludes some other requirements, most likely I'd use Alex V rom. Usually clean, stable and no tweaks can't be put in the same sentence with higher Sense versions.

Try the rom in my signature. Fast sense with lock ring.
Thank you for all your posts. The ROMs look all great i'll try them and take the one i like
Odp: Clean Sense ROM

HTC Sense ROM for Xiaomi

With so many great dev around would be great to have a custom ROM based on Sense.
Its my first time in 10 years that i dont get an HTC and really miss Sense.
Anyone thinks the same?
Ofcourse..really..i'm missed sense UI too, it's been too long now..coz HTC devices to expensive for me now...hope developers can considering this..and can porting sense rom for xiaomi devices.
Hahaha
Lor just install sense home launcher, you're done! Sense home version 8.01 beta
Sent from my MI MAX using XDA-Developers mobile app
Using a launcher than a full rom is different...you must know that....do you rather use cm launcher only and not the cm rom...its like that...you feel me....lol
