(Req) modded cm9 beta 0 5mb mms limit

Would love this! Can anyone help? I know I can use go SMS but would like to just use stock

okay. I think I found the file I need to modify. It looks like I need apk tools yo knock this out and that isn't available to me currently. Could anyone help me out. I "think" I have to just modify 1024000 to 5120000 w apk tools and it will default to a 5mb send limit. Someone w more knowledge may correct me but that would be fantastic if that was the case. If anyone can do this you are my hero.

No bubble mms w/5mb and 2560x1920 limit
Mount system, flash. Change the Custom User Agent to any name you like.

Thanks but doesn't show names after flashing. Colors are off and hard to read. If anyone can just post up a modded limit that would be great. Don't want themed or any options. Just locked in to 5mb limit would be awesome . ^thank you for the option but it just didn't work well for me at all. Even icons in the menu look like Droid 1. I'm not trying to lose any thing. Just add to it. If it cant be done then I just deal w it.

I flash it and use Handcent instead, that way I keep the 5MB limit.

Ok, cool. I tried modding this myself and couldn't find the xml either. Seems the CM9 MMS.apk has been coded differently than past MMS.apk's. I've sent out a Message to Kushdeck, the dev that helped the disable MMS compression not to long ago, maybe he can point us to the right direction

I edited the MMS config XML file to accept files that are 5MB in size but get force closes when I put the MMS apk back in the system folder.

[Q] AOSP Inverted CM9 MMS with emoji and 160 split?

HAs anyone made a completly inverted CM9 MMS with 160 spit and the emoji crap. I cant find an inverted one with the 160 spilt.

It would be nice if someone came up with a flashable gapps for our device that has mms, gmail, calander, google voice, play music, play store, contacts, youtube for us that want a completely inverted AOSP experience.

Been looking for one of these myself for AOKP

It does have 160 split and im using it on aokp milestone 5. So should work. I'll upload when I get off work and you can try it out

Edit: I just installed and it works perfectly but it's red haha. I thought that was just your theme but this apk is actually red :O Anyone have a normal blue-colored version?

Hi bro. I have a problem with this app. When i tried to write a name contacts, i don't see the name that i have writed. The name is black on black background...

It won't install on my cm9. Are there any special install instructions?

Push it into system/apps with a file explorer or adb. It needs to be a system app replacing your current Mms.apk

Is anyone having trouble receiving emojis? I can send them no problem, and the messenger looks great, but it just shows a blank spot (or spacebar entry) when people send me emojis. Thanks!

which one was a no go? hopefully you used the stock version. it should work on ALL ROMs and phones. the other 2 will of course not work on stock ROMs. AOSP only.

I'm a little confused about what you mean by (MMS is borked. Use stock for MMS sending) does flashing this install a separate messaging app and I will need to switch back and forth in order to use mms messages?

yes. for the mms borked one it is a separate app. you can run this app side by side with any messaging app on all ROMs.

Hmm... "messaging has stopped" this occurs when I scroll through the threads.

You're using the AOSP version is why. Please use the stock version.

I can't see names in the drop down when type a name in the to field.. The font color is just as dark as the background
Also I can't un install it either.. It installed as a hidden system app or something.. I can only disable it

Mms didn't seem to work. As was originally posted. However I came across this and it works fine. Mms is supported with no problems. It's pretty solid. Make sure you go into root explorer and back up your stock messaging app first, it's titled as "SecMms.apk"

Oops. I realized the color was off well after posting this. they are installed as system apps. Mms.apk just look in the system apps folder and you will find it.

i found it...it was an non system app as i side loaded it non-aosp...it was com.something

This is a 4.4 CM11 MMS I themed up, I've tested this APK and everything is working perfectly on Kit Kat (including google edition) This will work on any 4.4 build for any phone so if you are coming to this post from another device this APK should work perfectly fine for you too

not even close to the same as the playstore

8sms is a ported official Google 4.3 apk this is 4.3 since kit kat has no longer mms apk since is now hangout. Cm 11 uses 4.3 but still great job I installed this over 8sms

It's not working for me :/
Edit: I figured what was wrong. Even though the permissions were set correctly, I also had to make sure the ownership was both set to root and then had to fix permissions.
At first, it was Rw--r----. I changed that to Rw--r--r and then went into ownership and made sure it said root, root. Fix permissions, reboot and done. Just letting anyone know how I did it so nobody got stumped like me.

This is great work. I was curious about the call icon in the notification list. It's white while reply and read are blue. Can this be changed?

You install it after downloading. Once you click on the apk it will start to install. If not, you may need to change security to Llow unknown sources

For some reason, I've lost the pens.
I uninstalled and reinstalled, but I only have wallpapers, no pens.

To update, it seems that after my update to NK4, it reverted back to the stock pens on its and I simply had to re-enable Mont Blanc as the default template.

Thanks for this I can't believe it would cost $200 to get some themed S Note pens.

Figured it out...I was trying to add a template in the S memo not set a default in S note. Thanks
