Hello I am new in this forum and have a question about installing "WheresMyDroid.zip". Found this file on the forum: "[ROM] [20.12]MildWild CM-5.8 Stable-Release".
I use a HTC Desire (Bravo) with MildWild CM-5.8 (remark: this version is less stable in my opinion as its predecessor 5.7!).
Any answer would be helpfully.
Thanks, qstnmrk.
If you want to install where's my droid the simpler way is to download it from play store.
I don't know what there is into the zip file, but the name suggest that it contains this app.
By the way: if you have to install a zip package you must flash it from your recovery

Hello smbo,
Thanks for your answer :good: and yes that is a more simple method to download from play store .
Do not understand why this method (by Zip file) is mentioned!!!

I don't know...
Probably they had a particular problem to solve!

I want to install new kernal for overclocking on the virtuous sense rom and I don't know how to install the kernal. Please help me with instructions on how to install it or link me to the advanced kernal section for virtuous. Thanks.

Normally you can just flash the zip file through recovery or you can fastboot flash it... I'd suggest searching the forums a little more before asking people to look for a kernel for you.

Try looking at the second post of the Virtuous thread....
Download the kernel you want to your sdcard and flash thru recovery or use rom manager under download rom, there's a kernel section under Virtuous.
And no not all kernels work with all roms.

I did search...the second post on the thread does not give instructions on installing and says they're making a new thread for advanced kernel which I could not find.

Numerous posts within that thread explain how to flash it though so I'm shocked the search didn't pick any of them up...
As others have said, either download the kernel directly from the link in the second post (http://files.virtuousrom.com/vision/kernels/virtuous/) and then flash it from recovery manually or just download/install it all from within ROM Manager.
I am going to sell my Desire Z which was on Bell.
How do I flash back an original kernel? Where do I find it?
Hi people. Was just hoping for a little help. I am using cyanogenmod for the desire and it does not have the market app installed after flashing. Found out that is something to do with memory whilst flashing (any other ideas welcome). As I can't install using file systems, I need to push via adb. As I am a novice could some one explaine how to do this. Much appreciated.
You have to flash google apps after flashing ROM.
Read the first post in CyanogenMod thread...

Never tried, not implemented yet, and as I know there is no such thing as a flashable zip to enable it.
I used it with a2sdx from amarullz (as I mentioned on your other thread ) and it worked quite well.

I'm not sure about that page but this is the original thread

You have a flashable zip at the end of the page, flash it after you flash rom, with or without reboot.
Ah yes that was the page I was looking for, my bad :good:

Pretty sure we have a sticky full of stock. And you could at least give credit for the files you used.

Wait. You posted using a Desire HD.
Be sure you have a Desire (bravo), not a Desire HD.

Well this is the desire (bravo) section, and the method to root is a bit different. Try posting in the desire HD for more help, although I'd advise that you read the many existing guides before asking questions in order to reduce your chances of getting flamed
