Replacing Front Screen on GN2

Ok so here's the situation. I cracked my screen today on the front of my device because I did not have a case, Yes I know I'm stupid for not having one. The cracks are medium to bad and are extremely distracting from the device. I have sprint's bull**** insurance, but they want 200 dollars for a replacement device which I think is crap. Could one of you please point me to a place where I can just replace the front glass on my own.

So giving you a $700 device for $200 cuz you're clumsy is BS? Its gonna cost you $200+ to replace the screen as the glass is fused to the digitizer and lcd as one assembly.

When they are charging me over 200 dollars a year yes it is! I've been looking around but from what people have been saying this is one of the hardest devices to replace so looks like I'm out of luck on replacing it myself

Yikes, post some pictures if you're successful! (Or unsuccessful, I'm sure some knowledge would help everyone here.)
I know from multiple experiences, screen replacement is not my forte! Fudged 2, fixed one. Meh.

Paying the deductible through Asurion may be the cheapest route. Asurion is going to replace it with a brand new Note, not a recon so it may be worth it.

Any chance for a extended battery case?

I know the iPhone that doesn't have a removable back has quite a few manufacturers offering extended battery cases. I was wondering if this is even possible on the Nexus 5 and if there is one in the works or something out their already similar to it?

Back cover replacement

Hey Guys! I have one idea. I want buy back cover for my Nexus 5, and cover him LEATHER. (have experience working with leather) I think it will be great look, but can't find NEXUS 5 parts, so is the question: Where i may buy this thing online? Any links?

Yeah that one looks good probably. Just make sure you don't buy a cheap one without the wireless charging/NFC coils and stuff. I don't know if they exist, but I know someone who got a replacement back for their Nexus 4 and lost NFC

If the red Nexus 5 ever gets released, they better have the red back replacement. I'm ordering that right away.

Xiomi? Hidden button band

I just got one and as you can see from the photo it will break the back. The watch is not resting on anything You can see erne first links are trapped inside of the back. It's a great strap and I'll probably file the back to suit it. I won't be selling the watch, anyway I can get a new back from eBay. This band is not designed to fit the watch as claimed. It's very nice, heavy and a great finish though

A few more photos of the case:

Got a nillkin case blue color but phone gets warm
Abou 42c on cpu and 41c average when gaming and using mobile data
With the silicon case provided stays about 38c
42+c is normal I know but heat can cause damage in long term usage especially on the battery
