the arrays.xml in framework-res needs to be edited like so and the liblights replaced with the ones attached .... this will not work for CM10.1
Code:
<integer-array name="config_autoBrightnessKeyboardBacklightValues">

255

255

255

255

Tested and the fix works fine for the capacitive led's and the keyboard backlight. But the BLN free app from the market still shows me the error "liblights not supported"

If i flash the covenant kernel and the "lights.n1.so" from the dman's 17th dec CM10 build, the BLN works fine. Try flashing the attached and you'll see the BLN works fine but the keyborad and capacitive lights break.
I can confirm Pacman 18.2 with covenant v3, this fix works !! Awesome to have my keyboard backlit, thanks guys!!
Hmm.. maybe I should manually put in the keyboard mapping fix now...
which one should I download for cm10? and where do I find the "arrrays.xml"?
Confirmed working as well on PACman v 18.2, running Covenant Kernel v.3 via flash through CWM.

Keyboard lights - :good:
Capacitive Led's - :good:
BLN - :good:
Thx a lot.
I wonder if you also have the same issue as reported in my CAMP thread. If you change the brightness to 0 (lowest), after some time the keyboard lights stops working unless you increase the brightness or put it to automatic.

I haven't yet tested asop but I am wanting to asap!
Does it make sense to package this with the keyboard mapping fix as well ? .. I don't really want to change ROMs again..
Question 2 .. would this mean I wouldn't need to apply covenant kernel to unofficial cm10 or pacman to have the lights work ?

Hi all
I would say thanks to neopeek for giving me the source file and for helping me with it
Then i would say thanks to all peoples involved in this project, like the xda-android team, thanks to Tiad8 for the 3d libraries,to viruscrazy for the camera libs and kernels,to chann for making r5 and r6,and to all helping here solving all the bugs
Huge thanks to Blackra1n and knightrocker for 3d libraries and fixed clock color
Other thanks to arrrghhh, for blessing me and for suggesting me to do looped system files
and to Nautis, for helping with genext2,you saved me a lot of time!
This is a light rom ported from the Huawei U8150,it is fast
There are two ways to install this build
1)
Having two partitions on the sd-card,one big FAT32 and one(about 700 mb for having space for everything) EXT2 primary
and go into the HARET-STARTUPS folder. Grab the appropriate startup.txt for your device, and move it to the root of the card.
then Go into the npkinstall folder, then, STARTUPS folder. Grab the appropriate startup.txt for your device, and move it to npkinstall folder, from the phone run install.exe and after rebooting run haret.exe
This way is harder, but makes easier to mod the build, add your own libs, fixing small things, and makes the build go faster

2)
1) Download and extract it. You’ll see a folder, Cherry pie v3 loop, copy its contents to the root of your SD card.
2) Go into the STARTUPS folder. Grab the appropriate startup.txt for your device, and move it to the root of the card
4) Either download the ts-calibration file from this post or this and rename it to ts-calibration. Place this file where you run haret.exe from
Thanks for arrrghhh for this small how to

Indeed. The main con is it's a PITA to setup - once it is setup, no big deal .
One of the bigger pros being that USB mass storage is semi-working when using partitions.

Why i can't boot my kernel? Every time i split ramdisk and kernel it won't boot.
And why i can't deodex framework?
If someone as some idea please let me know.

First, this ROM is more than just a placeholder before ICS arrive! Finally a custom ROM for the Bell P930 and also LU6200.
I just flashed it without problems on my LU6200 and now i know what fast means on this phone. Very nice work, thank you!
Did need a patch for Wifi, but this was also the case with the original Bell ROM on my LU6200.
Looks very good and i will start to restore my titanium backup now, have the feeling i will stick with this ROM for a long while.
Will report later, how it works on long term.
Maybe this thread could also be linked in the LU6200 section, since the ROM can also switched to chinese language so the chinese LU6200-owners would also be interested.
Keep up the good work!
thanks HO!NO!
just flashed on att lg nitro, it works great!
you can also select 3G or LTE mode! nice!
Alright, lying in bed now enjoying this great ROM. Titanium batch restore went well and all is working great so far. Performance is still impressive and I like the bootscreen and Interface (also it boots quickly). Will check how the battery is holding up tomorrow.
Well done Mr.Ho!No!

Found some problems, 2 already fixed.
1. If I go in display -> screen optimization the window "process com.android settings closed unexpectedly" pops up. Can't use screen optimization right now.
2. Sometimes also an error with Google maps appears. (Force close-error).
3. Had problems with alarm-clock too, but deleted it with nobloat and after that recovered it, works fine now.
Unfortunately it didn't work with Settings, I tried.
Any suggestions?

so far.

Alright here the things that I've found:
Data is not working (at least rmnet, don't know about ppp). The H icon is showing
up, but I can't make a connection.
I couldn't test GPS because I have no app to test this. ADB is somehow not working, so I can't install apps this way.
As expected Wifi and camera is not working.
BT, USB is working.
Is there a problem with HWA on Jelly Bean? It's quite slow.
But it's nonetheless a good start for CM10 on this device. Looking forward to future builds.

BT, USB is working.
Is there a problem with HWA on Jelly Bean? It's quite slow.
But it's nonetheless a good start for CM10 on this device. Looking forward to future builds.

Dude search for cm9 by whitexp in the development section.. It is buggy but boots up..
Contact whitexp and get permissions and try fixing bugs
yes...there is already cm9 by Whitexp..why you port..if you port ..that will have more bugs then Whitexp cm9 because he build from source..and never make new thread without real release
Better if you help in debuggind, than port another one

Go dev go!! :good::good:
Hi guys!
This is the kernel 3.4.XX for our device.
I've compiled it from erik96,merged with arco's and hadidjapri's,sources.
It's on alpha stage/not completely optimized for android, yet. It's yet Linux like.
Kernel version: 3.4.33
Initial Release
New x32 ABI support, this shall somehow maximize CPU perfomance
Swap-in readahead skips over holes
Netfilter enhancement
Crypto - sha224 and sha384 routines
Some minor file system changes
Networking enhancements (networking speed is a bit better)
Advanced Configuration and Power Interface S4 sleep state - this would result in ability of guest VMs to hibernate on Xen
Larger physical address extension on the ARM architecture
Some battery improvements, battery life seems to be better
Lots of open source graphic DRM changes
Intel Sandy Bridge performance improvements (only on PC's)
Btrfs improvements
Improved Power Management
New Power Management Phases
Governors taken from PhenomKernel
I/O Schedulers from PhenomKernel
Compiled with Linaro 4.7.3 Toolchain.
Working:
Camera (both picture and video, 720P recording)
USB
3G & Calls
Audio
Battery
Touchscreen
Touch keypad
Bluetooth
Accelerometer
Proximity Sensor
Orientation Sensor
Digital Compass
Vibration
GPS
Display
BLX
Vsync

Hey guys! I'm gald to see that my project is ported to Galaxy W. :good: Great job devs .
But what's wrong about WiFi?
@OP, did you pushed the dhd.ko module compiled during the compilation process into the RAMDISK at /lib/modules? If not, this is the problem... it can be fixed in 3 minutes .
Also, I'll update to CAF maybe next week or so, so you guys can try use those sources too :highfive:
I hope the WiFi problem will get fixed.
Regards,
Erik
