Hey guys
Does anyone know the storage location for offline music is for Google Music?
Searched the forums and can't find anything at /sdcard/Android/data/com.Google.android.music/cache or /sdcard/Android/data/com.Google.android.music/files either...
I'm on a T889 with the stock 4.1.1 os, and with Google Music v.4.4.811H if that helps

I just rooted my friends Verizon Nexus a few weeks ago.
She said that her Play music app doesn't work.
It shows the library but when a track is selected it doesn't work.
Uninstalled app and re installed but the problem persists.
She gave Google a call and they told her it's because she's rooted.
She on stock 4.0.2 I believe.
Also her Spotify has a similar problem.
Anyone else experience this?
I've been on a rooted GSM nexus since march. I use the play music app everyday. Check if the music is available online or whatever it's called. Idk why but when I switched from my sgs2 to he nexus, my music was all greyed out, but in menu/settings, I just had to change the setting.

Google play video rentals won't work on a rooted phone (for the most part). Music should work just fine.
How did you root your friends phone?
Google music works fine for me rooted. Something must glitched on her phone. Root certainly doesn't matter.
She needs to go to the play music site and remove some of the devices she syncs to.
I haz no sig
Thanks for the suggestions.
Will report back.
I do have a way around the movie rentals.
Went to the Play Music site and de authorized 2 old nexus profiles.
Finally flashed a custom rom onto the phone (CM9 RC1)
Logged into Play Music onto the fresh rom and still a no go.
Library loaded up but songs do not play.
Just shows the little spinning circle for like a second
Her Play Music account works on her unrooted Transformer Prime.
Am I missing something?
She's on a Verizon Galaxy Nexus btw.
Anyone else have this weirdness? Im a longtime Google Music user. On the Note 2, everytime I use the app to play music, it starts downloading my whole 30 gig library to the phone. I have to force stop it through the app manager. Never happened with my other phones or any custom or stock ROMs. Thanks for any input.

Uninstall/reinstall fixed it for me.....very noobish I know.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Sprint edition, and my friend has a T-Mobile HTC One X, we tried using NFC to transfer music through poweramp but it doesn't seem to work. I've seen somewhere that you can transfer files over, like we are able to transfer web pages, but we are unable to send music over to each other. I heard people can send like 50mb files over NFC, so is there a solution for sending music over NFC on poweramp. A friend suggested we both be under the same wifi network and we did and still no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure S Beam is turned off on your device and only NFC is enabled. I think that might do the trick. If not let us know.

My SG3 has Cyanogen and it only has NFC and Android bean so there is no S Beam option, and same for my friends HTC One X all he has is NFC and Android Beam, so we tried it again and still no success.
I recently got Google all access music and have kept the music onto my phone but I have a dilemma. I can't seem to find where the music is located on the actual device. Also, is there a way to just download my music from all access on the computer? This was one of the main reasons why I got all access because I read that others are able to transfer their requested music to iTunes. Thanks
Update ---- After searching extensively on google I found a website called songspout.com that allows you to download your Google access music in 320 kbs onto your computer and do as you will with it. I don't know if this just makes the job downloading from Google access easier or what but I do know that I tried it and it does work. I was able to download 5 Google access songs before I was prompted to pay $9.99 per year for unlimited. Any thoughts on this as well?
I am under the impression that, similar to rhapsody, all access saves the music in a way that is not accessible by other media players. I ended up switching to rhapsody due to a very bad experience with all access.

Aww dude. Lol I feel like a sales person but you can now download all your music basically to iTunes or wherever you want with that program legally and easily. As long as you have all access you have unlimited downloads to a place of your choice.

With this you are able to download tracks in a completely accessible way.

If it works for you, go for it! I was having some seriously atrocious streaming speeds through all access. I also had an issue with battery drain while listening to music. Rhapsody had none of these issues. I think that, because all access is such a new feature, it needs time to grow and debug just like any piece of software.

I've gone to Settings/About/Versions and tapped Google Play Services. It says "Checking for updates" but I'm stuck at 8.7.01 since I started this yesterday. My wifi network is connected and so is my GS7E via BT. Is there another way to update Google Play Services? Tia
