Seeing how easy it is to remove the back cover has anyone been able to find and grey back cover replacements for scratched / cracked backs? I've searched but found nothing.

There's already been a bunch of threads on the subject of where to get replacement digitizers, batteries and covers, etc... You'll need to look over in the Accessories sub-forum, just search there and you'll find a number of options for each of those
Thanks for the advice. Will look in there now
Looking for a new battery cover. Any Idea where to get one?
i bent one of the pins a bit and now am actually a bit worried about water / dust / etc. getting in.
It's not like the cover was waterproof in the first place.

The prices will probably go down when the global shortage of devices (except in the UK) has been taken care of. Supply and demand, you know.

Hmm question is if its worth it right now to buy one. I mean 20 $.....
Battery Cover from the outside does not show any abnormality and i thought: if it "fits" in it should be pressed in the right position by the other pins and the shape of the notch.
What do you think?
I find the back cover to be the biggest pain in the ass ever to remove and put back on... Anyone know what the correct procedure is to put the cover back on? The bottom looks like it requires some ..sliding... and the rest you need to push in with the cover bent, moving from the bottom and going upward one by one? >.> bleh
...The Droid 3 and Optimus V's covers werent this bad...
I bent the bottom right pin (If you look from the back) now my case doesn't shut properly. I think I'll wait till the price goes down before I buy a replacement though!

the bottom right seems to be the hardest to get in. you have to get it in with bottom two tabs at the same time for everything to fall and snap into place. it can be a pain if you don't know.
I agree the back cover is the only physical issue with the phone.
Make sure the bottom side is nicely in before snapping in the ones on top to avoid breaking the button hooks.
I got sick of the case sticking up at the back so tried to bend the bent pin back, and it worked perfectly!

I had trouble getting the back on with all the pins in place. For me, the right side bottom pin would not go in.
Instead of forcing it, I discovered if I inserted the bottom 2 pins of the back, then starting pushing the side pins in from the bottom and working up, then they all went in without too much trouble.
Good Luck!
The question is: is it possible to change the full housing to black? I have a white SGS2 but it has scratches all over... Also that silver edge is pretty much damaged from falls.
I was browsing around and found out that there are full housings for sale, but what about the amoled screen if I want to change the phone color?
Thanks in advance!

The screen is mounted to the frame (midsection of the casing, which is integrated with bezel) by a sticky tape -- ~1.5 mm wide all around the perimeter, and in some areas in the middle. When you buy a complete casing, it comes with the tape attached, so it's ready for you to mount the screen onto it. It will also show you where exactly the tape is located under the screen. The tricky part is do detach the screen from your old casing. Usually, it's done by heating it (carefully!) with a hot air gun, or even a hairdryer -- it will soften a glue layer and allow you to pry off the screen without cracking it. It's not that difficult, but if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, seek some help from an experienced person -- an electronics repair guy, or a seasoned DYI'er. However, keep in mind that sh*t happens, and there is still a chance to break the screen in the process, or fry it by overheating...
Thanks for the answer, kt-Froggy.
Can you give me a link to a trustworthy shop/casing?

I can only tell you where I bought mine... Not sure how trustworthy this source is, but it worked for me. I usually buy my stuff on Amazon. I searched for it, and ordered from this supplier (I was getting another item from them, so it was good to combine shipments). Delivered faster than promised, looked and worked as advertised, no problems with quality, so I was happy with it.

Looks promising... There's something else I should add. I'm using Samsung's original extended 2000mAh battery, so I should also look for the extended back cover which is different from the original one.
Take a look at this: LINK

I've seen 3 Galaxy Tab S 8.4, all of them had a slight warping on the back cover. None of them had any overheating issues when used. The warping is slight so doesn't bother me much. Plus I used the book cover. So I don't see the back cover that much...
I cracked my OPO's rear panel when I dropped it. I would love to get it fixed as I am not ready to retire it yet. Does anybody know where to get a replacement for it?

In the meantime, hard cover is a good go.See,your sandstone back wouldn't have broke if you had a hard cover on the phone earlier.
Sorry, but it seems styleswap covers for OPO aren't available anymore...
You have to search for a second handed one on ebay or similar sites
