Boot Animation Question - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I have JellyBam ROM and hate the boot animation. I see in the settings that i can set the bootanimation, where do i find the boot animations compatible for my device and how do i set it? Thanks

Well this is a separate answer but you know you can disable the boot animation completely? I thought the boot animation came as it was and you could only disable it.

Stock Galaxy S boot animation?

Ok I've been searching and can't find a zip for the stock galaxy s animation. I am getting the android animation (blue text) and I even tried to copy the three boot files from a stock roms system/media folder to fix it. No luck.
Any help is appreciated.

It doesn't exist (not in bootanimation.zip format), pick an alternate boot animation. There are many.
Would this work??

Negatory. You're on a custom kernel which uses bootanimation.zip boot animations - custom boot animations, that is. Those, there, are the .qmg, or stock, boot animations. They can't be used with a custom kernel.
Yea I'm on the stock EC05 custom kernal but need the stock boot animation. What are my options then?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Do you think the kernal maker since using the stock kernal as a base could've kept the stock animation?

Yes, but nobody has any interest in that right now.
Wish there was a thread strickly for boot animation links.

Browse the forum, there's a bunch of animations posted.
I've been searching by "boot animation" "boot animations" "boot screen" and "boot", but there are surprisingly few relevant results. It really would be nice if a sticky were made for people to post all their animations in.
I agree I'm trying to do this from my phone as well. Very difficult.

Will animations for the Fascinate work?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053250
This thread has the stock ROM in a flashable zip.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1027904
So toy can go into system/media folder and find the bootani.qmg, bootsamsung.qmg or bootsamsungloop.qmg
maybe with the stock kernel you're running it will use those??
Perhaps someone with more knowledge of these files can chime in as well.

I don't really know, but I'm about to find out by loading Liquid Havoc onto my phone.
Im using a rooted stock EC05 kernal on the stoc EC05 rom which is why it took away my Galaxy S boot.
I'd like to have my animation start and end with the fancy "S"...that is remove the Sprint part and only the Sprint part. Does anyone know how that would be accomplished, if it's even possible?
I'm on stock and plan to stay that way, but so far I'm only getting all or nothing; it's either no bootup display at all, or everything as shipped.

[Q] Location of custom boot animation

Hello, can you tell me where I can find the files for my custom boot up? I installed one using MIUI's Theme Manager, so I'm not sure where I would find it
For AOSP it is in system\media, for sense it is here, system\customize\resource.
And what if I wanted to change the boot animation on the stock rom (rooted)

Rename the old file VZW_bootanimation.zip to .zip.bak
Use android commander to push the file back in - disregard any memory errors. Rename bootanimation to VZW_bootanimation.zip

Ok, I got the new Bionic animation working, but it also has sound...how can I get the sound to work? Running stock rooted if that makes a difference.

It would be awesome if people started posting custom boot animations we could flash from recovery.
Wish I had the time and know-how to do it.

Stock UCLJ3, change boot animation?

Is there something I need to do before I can change the boot animation? Because everything I do makes no difference and the boot animation always stays the same AT&T one.
You need litekernal....see other thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153392

Boot animation not installed on galaxy note 2.

Hi.. I'm using stock Firmware, rooted, perseus kernel, and I wanna change my boot animation. I used rom toolbox and click "install". It says "install complete" .
Then, I reboot my phone, but there's still Samsung loop logo. I've look for the answer in this forum, YouTube, Google and found this : http://androidforums.com/admire-all...flashable-new-bootanimations-how-install.html
But I don't understand properly and can't still change my boot animation. I also delete boot animation.zip in system/media/ but it also didn't change my boot animation.
Does anyone know how to change boot animation? Where I was wrong?
Thanks for anyone who can help me out.

It's pretty easy to do. I just downloaded the N5 version, and using Root Explorer renamed it to bootanimation.zip, moved it to /system/media, set the permissions and it works fine.
Looks pretty good as well.

could you elaborate a bit more please. Are you running a aosp or tw rom? Thanks.
Worked perfectly for me.

same here, using es file explorer i allowed permissions and downloaded the zip file. I changed the zip file to bootanimation.zip and moved it to system/media and then changed the permissions back. Basically toggling es file explorer off so that it doesn't have write permissions and rebooted. The animation looks great. Now that i know how to do this i want to find more to try out lol.
Now if we can figure out how to change the tmobile power down animation.
I modified that boot ani for the note 3 and added an extra animation within it. Runs smooth. Try this out

You just need to change the FPS in the desc.txt file from 10 to 15 and save and re-zip it up using store compression.
I changed the desc.txt file from 10 to 15 frames per seconds so it works on faster booting phones. If you need it faster, I can change it to 20 just let me know. http://d-h.st/1m1
Flashable zip or push it to system?
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda premium
Push it to system\media. If you dont feel comfortable doing that, then you can download the app "Boot Animations" from the play store. Select local and browse for the zip file and then click on it and you should have the option for install.
Looks awesome,
I am running wicked 5, it's boot is using qmg, how do I install this?
thank you in advance
What I had to do to deactivate the qmg from being the boot animation was download and install this boot animation from kevinrocksman:
http://goo.im/devs/kevinrocksman/Bootanimations/Note3/Sprint/Flashable/BiosFlashable.zip
This install is an aroma installer so you will install it through recovery. No need to clear cache or dalvik. I know this isn't the boot animation you want, but it does something to deactivate the qmg boot. So once this is done and you reboot, you should be able to copy your bootanimation to system\media. Just make sure the name of the file is bootanimation.zip and set the permissions to (rw-r-r-) and reboot. Should work now.
