I have a small business and bought the note 2 for the s-pen popup note and the larger screen. I want the seemless ability to answer a call... take down a customers info as easy as possible at any given time. I found a sweet app that helps me with one step its called speakerphoneEX in the play store. I set it to go to speaker phone when I pull the phone from my head. So with popup note enabled I can receive a call and when it is time to take down cusromer info I pull the phone from my head which puts it on speakerphone without having to push the button... then pull spen and popup note is there. When done I reinsert spen it saves note and put phone back to my ear and it goes back to earpiece. Brilliant! Now if I could have it launch a custom note app sheet instead of snote popup note when removing spen....

That's pretty cool. Sounds like one of those things I didn't know I needed, but now it's a must have.

okay so with the air play thing when i go to hover over something like an icon on the home screen or anywhere for that matter, sometimes it will open it like i clicked the screen when i never actually touched the screen. should i go to sprint or is there something i could try first? thanks guys!!
If you're within you're 14 day period, get it replaced, they swore up and down it was just a feature of the phone at the sprint store and Samsung themselves, but if you bought it online through sprint, call and get it replaced, if you got it at a store stand firm and make them replace it, same thing happened to mine, got a new note and the pen was the issue with the last one

Could also be the sensitivity setting in the S pen. mine was clicking and marking all over the place. I found directions on the web somewhere, but you basically pop out the clickable button cover on the pen with the edge of razor blade (it will go back on), and you will see the adjustable slot by the actual button, turn it counter clockwise, with a small screwdriver or similiar until the sensitivity is where you want it.
Worked for me. Good Luck
Not sure if anyone had noticed this before, but I was playing around in the stock Messaging app and decided to see if I could delete a conversation by swiping it (similar to notifications). I swiped left to right and whoa! the phone dials the person you were texting in the conversation. Swipe right to left to compose a message to them.
This may be old news but it's a feature I wasn't aware of and when I did a search it yielded no results so I figured I'd share!
Good day!

There's also a shortcut to call the person you are messaging by holding the phone up to your ear. Cool stuff!
Yeah, I knew about that one from the Motions feature. You do that while you are inside the conversation. The features in the OP are done in the conversation listing when you first open the stock Messaging app.

Yeah that shortcut pops up in the tutorial when you first open the messaging app. Both are useful IMO
Been swiping to cal since infuse days
this works from conact list as well, swiping one way is to text the person, swiping the other way is to call them.
You can also set a motion to call from the contacts list by putting the phone up to your ear.
Im nit rooted, yet. Just got the phone last night and love it. Somehow I got a dock on the side of the screen. Its a little blue tab and if I pull it out it shows recient apps. And it shows up over the top of everything. Games, apps, videos, everything. It wasnt there at first, but I dont know what I did to start it and now cant make it go away. Anyone know how to turn the damn thing off?

It's the multi-view window. It lets you open multiple apps at the same time. Try dragging a couple of those apps into an open app. To make it go away all you have to do is long hold the back button or de-select the multi-view option in the quick toggles in the notification bar.
This community is the best. Long hold on the back button did it. I just upgraded from an Evo. Hopefully this community gets as strong as that one was.

Multi-view is a really cool feature. Play with it and you'll soon wonder how you lived without it.
Texting and Web View are great and the third window as a PopUp - EVEN BETTER ! lol
I double tap, and it seems like a solid 2 seconds before the note comes up. 2 seconds is a long time if you are trying to jot something down quickly.
To clarify, I am talking about opening up the note taking feature by pressing the S-PEN button and double tapping on the screen.
My note was doing the same thing and I found some crazy setting that did the trick. Mine is now almost instant. I'm looking right now trying to find that setting.....stand by.
I can't seem to find the setting now. I don't remember if I had actually turned something off or on now. I just came across it before and boom it worked. Sorry dude, but I will keep checking here in a bit after my meeting. I am also running Zedi 3.2 rom if that has anything to do with it.

OMG yes a some what huge delay; it gets annoying.
Go into S Pen settings and check the box to have S note pop up when you remove pen, it is instant upon pen removal.

Thank you Granna. That is a good work around, but not really the solution I was looking for since I don't use the note each time I pull out the pen.
Hoping for another fix.
I have another type of delay.
If you go to Snotes and try to open any note you have there it takes forever to open the note. Sometimes I think I didnt touch the icon well enough but then it opens. There are times I have to wait 4-5 sec to open a note in Snotes.
Such a slow app. However my pop-up note works very fast everytime double click with pen.

I was wondering if anyone knows of an app or way to set it so removing the spen launches s note AND sets the phone.to speaker when on a call.. it would be so seemless to be talking and someone asks you to jot down info and just pulling the spen out gives you note page and speaker until you reinsert it and continue call

That's a really good idea. You should patent it
There's already a setting for the note to pop up when you remove the pen so you're halfway there!
Thats an awesome idea, if it ever get programmed i'll use it

He's working on an automatic keyboard switching app when s-pen is removed... shouldn't be too hard to add in the functionality of speaker phone when removing the S-pen. It's pretty easy with the SDK.
