just make a goldcard, use downgrade, everything is being done by the tool while downgrading, after it root it, s-off, eng s-off additionally and install recovery. after that you should be able to flash a costumrom
I really couldn't understand what you really are facing and what help you want, however i can tell you the following:
-Make sure you have installed all HTC drivers as required
-Make sure you have installed latest HTC sync
-Make sure you have debugging mode enabled
-Read read read! Read another guide if you need to! Read comments because they have valuable info!
Good luck man!

What are the next steps in rooting? Follow the usual using Revolutionary? Install CWM manually?
Would appreciate your help folks!
Thanks
Agreed! With the bootlaoder now unlocked, what are the steps to rooting this beast? Do we still need to downgrade? Please pardon my noobness.
You wouldn't need to downgrade, I do know that. But as far as the rest, Idk. I did mine with revolutionary a while back before the 2.3.4 update, so I've been kicking ever since.

I would see if you can install superuser from the market.
EDIT: I would also see if you can install CWM and ROM manager. If all those install ok you should be able to load a custom ROM.

You do not have to downgrade if you unlocked. You should be able to install a new recovery image like Clockwork.

Installed CWM 5.0, superuser and after wiping data/cache and flashing a rom... Stuck at HTC White screen!
Flashed several roms, can't get passed it.
It's frustrating... No idea what to do next. I'm going to try flashing an earlier version of CWM and retry flashing a ROM.
Will update with progress.

How long are you waiting bro..?
First. You should have not used the htcdev garbage. You should have used revolutionary.
That is all.
Sorry I can't help you. I use a ns4g. And that's all I know about the htcdev unlocker

When you flash a custom ROM from CWM on an unlocked HBOOT, you then need to manually extract the boot.img from the custom ROM zip file and manually flash it in Fastboot mode using the command
Fastboot flash boot [path to the boot.img file]
This has been documented multiple times in this forum.

Yes in your case you will need to relock the bootloader in order to flash the RUU/PG32IMG.zip file. You cannot flash a RUU on an unlocked bootloader.
I'm guessing you guys have something other than .98 hboot? I'll find out soon when my wifes replacement comes in but I was not intending to use the HTC unlocker if I didn't have to. I was planning to try the tool attn1 has posted in the dev section unless the hboot changed with the ota.

Good to hear kinda thought it was. I'll be using the method attn1 has posted then. I don't trust the unlock method through HTC for one main reason which is this... Unlocking bootloader and rooting voids warranty as we all know. So what happens when HTC knows your bootloader was unlocked because you used their tool and they have the serial number?

Glevitans signature has a link to the thread and a direct link to the guide.
MissB has to the thread. You need to read the thread to reach post number #7 to get the guide or read the first post that will take you to the guide. Which is stated in the first few paragraphs of the first post. In all the cases a little more reading will save you from trouble.

It's all in the guide / pdf buddy.
Edit: go to www.4ext.net and download that. Can't remember if it explains how to flash it.
2nd edit: download the app, first option. It will flash it for you. You may need to download superuser or supersu to gain root access before being able to use that app. You can get either one from the play store.

Then, there's no need to run the hack kit. If you don't have a custom recovery (CWM or 4ext) flash a custom recovery and then you will be able to flash any custom ROM. All that information is,in the guide

Right, for the "and so on" part, what happens if you navigate to "recovery" (with volume buttons) and select it (with power button)?

Hi....
Just got myself HOX......it has JB and updated to the latest things that Voda has to offer.....and is UNLOCKED
Now...I am a regular ROM Flasher on my DHD ....and want to Flash the Custom ROM....
Now I have gone thru' the All in One Toolkit by Hasoon and found it is the best way forward....
My Question:
Will I be able to Flash and do the works if my HOX is on JB or I will have to Downgrade it to ICS ??
though unrelated .....to HOX the only reason I am asking this is 'cause I bricked a Perfectly New Magic of one of my friends just a cpl of weeks ago.....so just making sure I dont brick another phone
Any info will be highly appreciated.....
Thanxxx

Yes you can go ahead with that tool kit it's compatible with J B version... But read other posts and also how to do this things manually so if u stuck in middle(which is not the case generally) you can get back from that.

Make sure you have hboot 1.31+ so that it can run JB roms...
If you got your bootloader unlocked, then flash a custom recovery like CWM/TWRP and then go ahead with ROM flashing...
make sure to flash the boot.img from fastboot though! I don't think DHD was s-on...

It turns out you're not the first person to try to run an RUU...
