Who's getting a galaxy nexus for xmas?

I am just wondering who is hoping to get a Galaxy nexus for christmas? Merry Christmas to all.

I am! I bought it for myself! Was supposed to be here Thurs but Fedex delivered to the wrong address so I got it this morning (thank god!)
I decided it's so close that I'll wait until xmas morning to open it.

I bought mine 5 days after the UK launch as an early present to cheer me up after putting up with a service that had been going downhill for the past few months.
Moving from Orange to Three was a tough decision as I'd been with Orange for years, but it was the right one and I've not looked back.

i got mine two days ago, i thought with limited memory i was going to hate it, coming from using my 64gb card in my galaxy s2 skrocket and galaxy s2 hd lte, i was shocked that i cant put this phone down i love my christmas i have the top 4 phones in the world......For Now

Got it on Friday. It's awesome, love it! Battery life is kinda ****ty due to the awake bug.

I will be getting one too but there's a possibility I get a SGS II. Hope for the GN. I've already started to follow the GN forums.

I am also new to the nexus forums, just arranged to buy one for 225. Woot! It'll be my fourth Android phone, and I'm finally ready to start getting my feet wet with some developing and/or theme making. Started with the Captivate, then the Infuse, currently on a Note, and now I'm adding the GNex as my secondary phone for developing. Although I think it has potential to displace my Note as my daily driver. I love Samsung phones. =].
My desire for getting into developing comes from my ORCD, as just flashing ROMs is not enough anymore.

Ever since I got the note 2 I haven't been using my tf700
Decided to put it on xda marketplace.
Seems this note 2 is more practical to carry around.

That was the main reason I wanted the Note was to replace the iPad. It is working perfectly in that role!

Sold my Nexus 7. The Note 2 is a mini tablet with 3g/LTE without having to pay sprint any more unnecessary monthly fees. :good:

Your guys statements are the exact reason I'm gonna be getting a GN2 in the next week. I already set up my Flyer for the kiddos. Not worth selling it for next to nothing.

i'm actually looking to pick up a new tablet in a few minutes. wanting to replace my 8.9 sammy and may get the nook hd+. still have my note 10.1 and giving my ipad2 to my daughter. archos 101 is sitting on the shelf unused. i'll probably just give that to someone at work or sell it cheaply.

Gave the N7 to the wife along with my old G2. Good combo for her since she doesn't want to lug around a sizeable Phablet. I love the note 2, good fit for my needs.

Overclocking the AT&T Galaxy Note II

Hey everyone
A buddy of mine just picked up the Galaxy Note II and loaned it to me for a few days for some hackery goodness. Looking to get an overclock kernel out soon! And hopefully pick up one of my own for development. No upgrade available to me for now so it's going to cost a pretty penny. Had the Galaxy Note running CPU/GPU overclock just after release, looking to do the same here! Look for releases from me soon

Setting up my development environment now (gentoo linux, woop woop)
Only have 2 or 3 days with the Note II before I have to give it back to my buddy, so I'll be working hard to get the overclock kernel out ASAP. Hope to be able to afford a Note II of my own some time this year for further development

It would be great to get you involved in the development for this phone, especially since it looks like DAGr8 is hoping on board. Used your work on the captivate and skyrocket, so I know of the great work you put out.

You should seriously try to borrow your friends Note more and get an overclocked kernel out

We need to come together and get Da_G a note 2 of his own!!

Call at&t complain about something request an uograde they will grant it at the current sale price. Thats whatva few us have done.

The next upgrade from E4GT. Optimus G or Note 2?

I would like to know where everyone is going when their contract ends. Dev community is a deal breaker for me. Im pushing towards the note (phantomhacker, venom),but optimus g has serious potential.

My contract doesn't end for a while but I wouldn't get either. I'm holding out till next year. I want to get a phone that will support 800mhz LTE and 1900mhz, possible the 2500,2600 band as well. With some newer battery technology.
I buy most my phones off contract used once they drop in value anyways. I'll probably end up getting what ever good deal is around by then.

Note 2 > LG OG. I just upgraded to the sgs3 til next month when I get my note 2. My dad bought the note and gave me his sgs3 which was only ~2 months old so I'm not complaining free phone and still have my upgrade on dec1 to use on the note 2. The note is definitely worth the upgrade its one badass device, has ridiculous battery life with the 3100mah and no lag even when multitasking in the dual pane mode.

That's what I'm waiting for, my upgrades ready the 1st so I'm just gonna hold out til the price comes down s bit. I got a free sgs3 to hold me over when my dad bought his note 2 Saturday he gave me his 2month old sgs3 and all the accessories

If you patient enough you can wait for the s4 but if not the note 2 is a real good phone to upgrade from an e4gt.

I still can't believe I'm saying this, but I reallllly like the optimus G. Ever since our store got our stock in I can't put the demo down. The screen and processor alone are what's winning me over.
LG kind of won me over in a small way recently, and that's because our LG viper got it's ICS upgrade shortly before the Optimus launch, and in the process, brought it's UI up to match the Optimus and Mach exactly. That shows me motivation and I like it.
But the end I'm being held back for two reasons: it's already behind on software; this typically isn't a problem for me but it is in this case because of the 2nd reason: the boot loader is locked. If there won't be any official unlock, or if devs unlock it but it's piece-mealed together, I'm not going to get it. It's one of the many reasons why I've stuck with Samsung, not having to go through all the BS with boot loaders and such.

All that is a concept of a sgs4. Nothing real, nothing but a fantasy. Please don't get panties in a bunch because then you will be disappointed when it is actually released.
