I have 2 upgrades.

I currently have the galaxy s 3, but I just noticed I have one upgrade available now and one available in 54 days. Is there any new phones coming out soon that's suppose to be amazing?

Yeah..soon hoepfully...though its not really a HUGE upgrade from the S3. It's basically a larger S3 with a stylus. It will launch with Jelly Bean but we'll get the ugrade soon so I dont think ima jump ship..but you never know though..might change my mind when I actually hold it

In a business enviroment, the way they implemented the s-pen to work as a MAJOR feature of the note 2, it is going to change the course of smartphones pretty drastically. I think once it is out, and its functioning as they designed, people are going to start expecting a new level of interaction and function with their phones that will likely set the enviroment of which other manufactures will have to adapt to or be eaten. I could go on, but point here, This phone is going to be a big influence in what tomorrows devices will be capable of and i think it it is going to show undeniable ingenuity in the smartphone business that cannot be ignored.:beer:

Rumor has it that the note 2 will have an exynos quad 4412 with lte.

It really is MUCH more than a stylus, its the leader of its 5 in. Ecosystem. Its designed to lead the software even better than the software was designed to acknowledge its directions.

My source says you should wait at least until the end of this month to make a decision. I trust it so I'm holding off on upgrading now.

True, the note 2 is coming out and might be worthy of one of your upgrades. Personally I would buy two iPhone 5s and flip em, make 5-600$ and keep my GS3.

I'm in the same boat. Just got the GS3 on release day, have an upgrade available and another coming in 173 days. Probably going to pick up the Note 2 as soon as it's available.

Nexus 4?

Anyone here thinking of selling there Galaxy and Getting the Nexus? I'm debating it but the internal only memory is a real dissaponitment especially since I bought a 32 gb sd card with my Galaxy

Gotta wait till the 29th for me to make any decisions, but I'm not gonna lie, the lack of microSD slots these days is really starting to tick me off.

yup I would do that but no sdcards slot makes me say hell no.
But hopefully they release more than 1 nexus, I would few more days.

Well, if you already have the nexus, no SD cards are something that you are uses too. That's probably one of the biggest adjustments I'd say.
Personally, I prefer SD card support.

I'm seriously considering moving over if the Nexus 4 is big hit because the lack of updates is really pissing me off. I was going to originally move over to the Note II but it's too expensive right now, so I rather see what Nexus 4 has to offer.

The note 2 is expensive sadly...but I will upgrade from my Note.
The nexus 4 is extremely lacking in the looks department. The front is a spitting image of the galaxy nexus...and the back? Blah.
HTC would make a killer nexus in the looks dept. Hands down the best looking android phones.

Lack of updates? Samsung isn't going to push JB before their first JB phone (note2) just came out... or nobody would buy the new phone...

I was only bringing up HTC in regards to their latest high end stuff (design wise). Mainly the OneX and upcoming DLX/DNA.

+1 w/ HTC. The amaze was the most difficult phone I ever owned. Never even rooted the thing. To gain s=off you had to touch a wire from one connector to another... never again

+1 it looks so plain specs seem nice like quad core s4 pro and I think 2gb ram? But the s3 looks so much better and in don't really care too much about updates as I use custom roms

Design looks like a step backward, LG is terrible with customer care. They should've stuck with HTC build designs.

Im so pissed bc there looks like there will be no love or support for ppl on cdma carriers...I have had every nexus since the nexus one...and i finally left gsm to join vzw with galaxy nexus. I really dont want to go back to GSM..so if there is no CDMA LTE LOVE on the nexus 4 i will be waiting for the HTC DLX

Dude wait till the next big google update.. key lime pie are whatever we note 2 users will be *****ing about that as well... is anyone really ever happy?? Its always something... damn my only issue atm with the note 2 is the aspect ratio.. but drawing penises on top of your buddies pics and sending it to them priceless..

I will be selling my GSIII ASAP if the price is 399.

So i am going to be updrading from the galaxy s2. ANd i am wondering some views. On one hand you have the note 2 with a quad core prosessor but its so big. and then you have the s3 but i hear rumors of the s4 coming out soon. So any ideas?

I am personally waiting. The only place the s2 could be better is screen resolution. At this point sprints wimax and lte aren't that different. But if I were to buy now it would be a note 2 (not on Sprint, so sick of network issues). Everyone says nexus, but what good are os upgrades of the battery doesn't let you use all the cool features. The note will battery will last all day and into the next on heavy usage. Plus being able to jot down a phone number or address while on the phone without looking for a paper comes in handy.

Just order my nexus 4 on the 29th and already got shipping confirm. I guess Google and lg got their supply in ordered. Most of the new phones coming out has the same spec as the N4. The N4,is Half the price of the new phones coming out with tons of custom ROMs.

Hmm... unless you can prove there is no LTE in CA when http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2906-sprint-lte-coverage-maps-via-sensorly/ and all information at s4gru says so otherwise, don't say things you don't know.

The note2 looks almost comical, until you get a chance to use it. It is just awesome at making the giant screen seem practical. It is also very fast, with great battery. The only thing preventing me from buying one, is that I want to see if the other OEMs can make an even better experience on a 5.5" screen (though, I dont see how).

Seems like some good especially the camera additions mixed with some gimmick like the hand scroll feature. Hope to see some of these make it in to the note 2

I am not impressed just yet. I will have to see it in person first. As I have stated before, I am waiting for the Note 3. One good thing about the GS4, is that we note users will get all of the innovations of the GS4 plus more!!!

I dont think its worth giving up the Note 2 for but if you have a update and are going to get it thats the way to go
Thats what I did im keeping my Note 2 and upgrading to the S4. Keeping the Note for backup device and for work purposes

I got a upgrade a few days back. Choose the Note2 over the S4. Had a S3, Best buy gave me $268 for it. I could have left the store with the S4 for total $4.78 after my trade in , tax and best buy reward points. But I wanted the larger Note2 indtead and dont regret it.

Me personally wont trade my note 2 for the s4, my buddie has the s4 and man its to small for me its a cool device but also were going to get 4.2.2 in the middle of may or jun so im keeping mines.

I think it will be a little longer than May-June that we have to wait for 4.2 2 I would say july-August. If I had to guess that is what I would guess.

Sorry but there's no other phone out there that I would give up my Note for, I'm too spoiled by the screen size & 7 hours screen on time & I can never look at a smaller sized phone the same ever again.

My Choice
My Epic 4G died a few days ago and I had an upgrade. I chose the Note 2 over the S4. Battery life, bigger screen (to make up for the loss of my keyboard) and SPen plus other things that I cant put into words sold me. I used both side by side and just loved the Note2. When we get 4.2.2 I think that will make the note 2 even more awesome...IMHO. Now I have TWRP on it and trying out ROMs...Loving the Note 2. :good:

Try synergy. Best rom imohop. I have flashed at least a 100 on my S3. Since I bought the note 2 this is the only rom for this phone. It is stock on speed, but I themed it with a seperate program and have it just the way I like it.

S4 is beast man who ever said it looks like the s3 in every way can suck it. It dont. It has so many wicked features that we wont get. The screen is so much crisp you can right away tell. 13meg Camera comes in handy in low light litteraly

I don't think the megapixels have much to do with low light as the quality of the sensor itself and f.stop and aperture. I'd much rather a lower MP with better sensor and F.stop than all the megapixels in the world.
But i get your point nonetheless.

Just got my S4 today coming from the Note2 and I have to say I don't miss the Note2 one bit this device is world class

What was your problem with the note2? I had a chance to pick up the S4 cheaper than the note2 but choose it because of size which fits me perfectly.
