there are only a handful of JB roms.. so most is ICS right now until at least a sprint JB leak comes out..
thanks for the links but this question seriously didn't need responses telling me I haven't looked around for the threads to these questions. A simple answer would have been fine

A custom rom is custom for a reason. Any user can change things about a rom if they know how.
What I have running on my phone may not be your beer of choice. Experiment make nandroid's. If you get one you really like stick with it.
Like one person said this exact thing has been asked and answered multiple times. A simple search and a little reading would have given you the answers your looking for.

I'm a big fan of Team Sonic Free GS3 0.1.1 using JellyBomb Domination Theme V13 and Trinity Kernel. Very smooth ROM and the battery life is KILLER!!!!!!
If you're not a huge fan of the ICS blue then you might not want to flash the JellyBomb Domination theme.

No ****. When I say "custom ROM" I'm talking like generic CM10 or Blazer ROM etc. I'm not asking for a damn explanation of what the word custom meant. If I was, then I would do a quick search and see for myself. If youuuu did some simple reading, you would have read my last comment which was about how dumb ass people gave smart ass responses that simply arent needed. So let me simply this for you...either answer the question at hand or just don't comment at all. That simple. If there's other threads out there I have probably already looked at them and decided to ask the question myself. No big deal. Get over yourself.

Thanks! I heard BlazerROM kicked ass. The only complaint I've read is some people experiencing battery drain and people not liking the battery icon.

Would you test drive billions of cars until you found the one for you? The whole point of the question is to narrow down the search. Or, for your convenience, find the best ROMs to "test drive". I doubt youd test drive a car without matching what you want in a car to what the car offers. If you want a truck, you're not going to text drive a Civic. I've seen my options. I've read the threads. Stop crying about how I made another thread and figure out a way to get this thread deleted of you're so opposed to duplicate questions being asked. I'm sure you've never asked the same question twice ...not once.

Are you looking for a rom thats themed or you just looking for something with the stock look?
I have backups of Blazer, Freegs3, Paranoid Android, Odex Blue, Jelly Bomb, and Wicked Sensations. Honestly, I really like all of them! They all, for me, have had similar battery life, and are all very stable. Paranoid is pretty fun to play with, and has a completely different feel than the others. Right now, I'm really loving team venum's work.
Seems no matter what I flash though, I always end up back on Wicked Sensations. Something about it just keeps calling me back...Lol Good look, feel, battery, stable, nice add ons, and everything just works flawlessly for me. The pull down toggles are nice too. Just put the alpha 7 Trinity kernel on it last night and its running great!
Been thinking of checking out aokp lately, cause I used to use it a lot on my og epic, but, I like a lot of the new touch wiz features.
Like they say, try them ALL for a day or two. You won't be disappointed. Eventually you will probably find yourself going back to a certain one, and then you'll know which is best for YOU. Enjoy!

I recommend, with experience, free gs3 0.1.1 without the jelly bomb theme, or jelly bomb domination v 5.0, or team venum wicked sensations 1.1. All are great. Jelly bomb domination is a team venum wicked sensation base with an incredible jelly bomb theme. You will be happy with any of the 3. Big shout out to Clark44, Josh Beach, team sonic, and team venum for bringing 3 amazing roms to our device. Also, thank Nanddict for his theme work on the roms.

I could have sworn the one he is talking about was TW, the dev even says to use a TW kernel with it. But at the same time it had the bug where when the other person hangs up you get a FC with phone

There are 2 different versions in the at&t thread. The cm edition is by far the better of the 2 and very few bugs. Some report MMS not working but I do not have this issue. As for the tw version, there seems to be quite a few different bugs other than the afore mentioned 1.
MIUIv5

I've tried both and I think the TW version has some advantages. As mentioned, it has working s pen and other sammy apps but it also has better bluetooth, sammy camera and working miui torch. There is a fc when the other person hangs up first but it's a minor irritation that only lasts a couple seconds. Battery lasts longer and volume is much louder with out installing a custom kernel.
I used to kinda despise miui but this new v5 is making me take a second look. Per app permissions is a pretty cool thing if you got a kid. And because it looks like iOS, it takes a little getting used to for hardcore aosp types but the clean, light look is somewhat appealing. Heck, I'm even researching Xiaomi phones cus it looks like you could get one pretty cheap. Bleeding edge? Not quite but pretty good bang for the buck
That's what I think.
Yes i would love to see an updated version of TW based MIUI i tried asking one of the devs who ports it for the GT-N7000 but couldn't help. Unfortunately i own a small business and don't have time to learn how to do it myself.
I did make the changes to EmotionMIUI_V2.6_AromaEN_3.7.5 And got it to boot but with errors and of course no lte
As for the MI phones I just checked on GSM Arena they all have quad band gsm and HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100, no LTE
If you wish to look for your self go here http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi-phones-80.php
Thanks for the link.... maybe with enough interest in this thread a dev will maybe come and help....
its interesting how a dev will swoop in, make a nice miui port, work with it for awhile, then disappear...its happened several times with various phones over the years, and it appears the same thing is happenning with this phone....
I know that we shouldnt expect anything to go on forever, but its sad for us MIUI fans to get pumped when a new release comes out, then after an update or two, the dev disappears and the rom just dies...
and, I agree with Johnny, that the current 10.1 version is MUCH better than the TW version; however, it appears that after the first release, the dev working on it cant get the update to boot....
I have CR ATT SE 3.0 and it really has quite a few annoying issues. I'd like to switch ROMs. I don't care if it's AOSP or modified stock ROM. I just want it to be relatively bug free and good for at least a couple months without having to do another big ROM switch.
Also if it's AOSP someone will have to bring me up to speed on how to get over to it from stock 4.1.2. I don't think it's just a simple wipe and flash.

If you're on Clean Rom then you might want to stick to a TW based Rom. You can just move to the most recent Clean Romthat's out..
That way you shouldn't run into any issues with it.
But there are also a lot of good AOSP Rom out there if you really have to install one. Just check the one stop shop for your Rom needs!!
Edit: just noticed the title of your thread. I'm using Skynote which is great for long term use.. haven't flashed anything else since

Someone is trying to help you on a thread that will be closed anyway and your getting mad? Read the different threads of roms that interest you, or at least the last couple of pages to see what issues people are having. What you may think is a bug, someone else may never have a problem. And it's not difficult to try a rom and see if you like it. Hope this helps before the thread is closed.

I was wondering where are all the devs who created these roms and haven't updated their roms for months. Have they abandon the GS3? its seems as though either they moved on or creating AOSP or AOKP roms, which can be boring because they all look the same. I hope that they can update their roms and stay with the GS3. Seems as though there are different roms made for the AT&T GS3 that I wonder why aren't they being ported to t-mo.
Became touchwiz is filled with bloatware, it takes time to remove them all! By the time they release a new custom ROM, you would see an OTA update. So it would be better to use aokp and aosp , which is fast and stable vanilla built!

For one thing, many have moved up to better devices now that T-Mobile has made it so much easier to so.
Besides, what is it you could want that isn't already there? You've got many to choose from, and a couple that are currently and/or are always in development.
There are some devs that release one or two Roms and focus on that. Then there's others who like to move on to something new when they get their Rom to where they want it. Just because it's no longer actively developed, doesn't mean it's not an outstanding Rom.
Imo, I think it's all pretty much been done. They're not going to keep recreating the same stuff over and over, just to make it look like more development is going on.
One last point, always remember that we are enjoying the fruits of their labor. They don't do what they do because we want them to. They do it because they enjoy it and want to share. If they decide to move on to something new, just be glad for what they did contribute. Don't be unhappy/upset/mad for what they didn't do or don't continue to do!
I didn't take your post as being angry btw, I just said that because some people do get that way.

Thanks gang for the heads up. You're right these roms are awesome and sometime it gets confusing on which one I should load. I do like touchwiz because its smooth and its different from all the AOSP/AOKP roms. they are fast too. I'm stuck with the GS3 for a while till I can get insurance to do the "Jump" thing. but I'm happy with my phone but its roms that I like on it. Thats why I wish that some roms that I use can get updates so I can stay with it. but its ok.
I like trying new roms out.
Many of the AT&T roms can be flashed to our devices if you didn't know. You.might need to make a few minor changes like apns and build.props, but most you can flash and they'll work. Unless something changed that I missed....

I hope that they can update their roms and stay with the GS3. Seems as though there are different roms made for the AT&T GS3 that I wonder why aren't they being ported to t-mo.

AOSP ROMs look the same? Boring? Really? Have you tried an AOSP ROM such as CM or AOKP and the hundreds of themes in the PlayStore? I have used both customized Touchwiz and AOSP, each ROM has its own features. I do however miss the Touchwiz camera app when switching to AOKP, but there are other things that TW can't beat AOSP. Your choice. I truly appreciate the army of awesome devs on this forum. You guys are great!!

Didn't mean that way. I just got the use of theming and realize with AOSP/AOKP I can do lots of theming with UCCW/ZW/WL I can make my phone look different. Once in a while I do miss touchwiz. Yeah, these devs are awesome and the work that they do.
Hey guys, a friend of mine ask if I can root and install a rom for him on his note 3 and I just want to kno what you guys think are good roms that have tethering options.

I guess, I was trying to avoid it, lol. Too many roms to read through. Thanks.

The best option is to read. Pick a rom for that day, read through the whole topic. Thats what I did. Im hsing jedi elite with saber kernel. I have to say, I havent had any issues with it. If not, then good luck. Dont know whag else to tell you....because reading through is yiur best friend. You can ask people what the best rom is but you wont know the features and issues on the rom until you dont read uo on it.....

Thanks, I read some and found "W03 Slim V5" I'm a fan of slimkat roms, I had it on my S3, I currently have it on my Note 2, so I guess I'll install this for my friend. I wish he knew how to do this for himself.
This isn't even my phone model, and I agree.

He's never going to get the same experience as someone else anyway. He should pick a rom he thinks looks interesting and run it for a few days to see if it's running well on his device. He's the one who should be looking through them and learning how to do the whole process from you.

All of the roms are good, and all have their own little touch, you would need to flash a couple and see which one floats the boat, all of the people here are correct....just find the one that fits you best....
Good luck.

OK, thanks guys, I've decided to give him the slimkat rom I mentioned earlier. I just have to get home first and prep the files for rooting then installing the room, I'm most definitely going to teach him how to do it him self. If this were my note 3 I would've tried so many roms by) within the first 24 hrs of having the device lol.
If he wants AOSP, I've tried most of them and, in my opinion, Sinless ROM GooglePlay Rendition is the best. SUPER FAST. Or Gummy Rom which is also great. If he wants TW, I would go either Jedi or DarthStalker although they're both JB. TW kitkat I would go with MyRom, but its a bit finicky.

One of the roms that I like personally is X note rom. It's a rom for international version hence there's a need to flash a fix file.
Currently it's based on kit Kat and hence I am waiting for a proper kernel and the fix file.
This rom has some good features that are useful for me

Hmm, I love AOSP, but I'm not sure I'd load up AOSP for someone who can't figure out how to do it themselves. More than likely, it will not be as stable or feature rich for the end user as compared with TW. I would highly recommend Tweaked 2.0. It's stock based, and all the options/features implemented are completely stable and do not interfere with each other. Tweaked is what you can load for your significant other without having to hear them complain 3 days later about how their "phone messed up".
Jedi Elite v5 w/ Saber.
The ROM is super stable, solid and clean. Battery life is excellent.
Look no further...just flash this ROM.
