First off sorry for posting yet another thread about the famous "error package file is invalid" deal...this happened to me on my rooted o.g incredible mcsense v2.6 rom which is android version 2.3.4....
ive searched online and threads and nothing that helps me plus all other threads are methods for other phones havent seen one for the o.g incredible...
i got alot of apps on my incredible and since thats the case i got apps2sd plus had to flash ext4all dalvik moved.zip to fix the low storage situation the incredible has anyway im able to install 3rd party apps so i know i got room on my internal storage since i moved alot of apps to my sd using apps2sd and also cause of the ext4all that i flashed but just yesterday when i tried to update dolphin browser from google play it gave me the famous error...
also noticed that once it gave me this error message something like...not enough storage on the usb or sd something like that cant remember i got a 32mb memory not sure how much internal storage i think i got 100mb left not sure tho but know i got some im kind of new to some of this stuff but familiar with certain things flashing roms etc....
i did try clearing the cache data and and force stopping fix with a reboot but no go...also tried that and uninstalled the google play update and rebooted and also did all that then going into recovery mode and wiped the cache partition and dalvik cache but yet nothing either...
with all that is there finally some kind of universal fix for this???? or am i missing something here if so what is wrong ??? please someone help its a real stick up the ass

Did you flash the ext4 mod while having apps moved with apps to sd? If so that may be the issue.

Use a bigger sd card
i meant internal storage...i got a 32gb now...will i be able to install anymore apps and not worry about the application not installed message???
I have been having the same problem on McTwist 1.1. I have flashed several times and within a few months, it always returns. I have tried VR Superwipe, CWM cleared eveything that is possible, have uninstalled the market, cleared cache, Dalvik etc. I have flashed another rom and flashed back, I have skipped backing up and restoring and started from scratch. McTwist has the EXT4 MOD already, but I have tried flashing it again anyway. I have used apps2sd, but I hate the fact that I have over half my app storage space still free (like 400 of 748MB).
So far I have not found a single thing to get rid of it permanently. I am thinking of flashing back to stock with an RUU, then regaining root (I am s-OFF) and trying again. I like this phone a lot and now that Verizon will kick me off my Alltel plan if I upgrade, I am hesitant to get something newer (the newer phones suck right now anyway) It sucks not having any market apps update.:crying:
So I have a quick question that is making little sense. I have recently upgraded to 4.2.2 and tried to do a nandroid back and kept getting an error. Well after some searching it is showing I have 1.36gb of avaliable space. Have checked all media, and etc, apps are only using 1.6gb. Where did all of the other space go? I cleared cache just in case but still nothing. I was thinking this could be a partition problem. But its just really weird. I am going to take a screen shot and upload it. I have searched through this site and google and found nothing related to this issue. Thank you in advance for any advice on how to fix.

Try using DiskUsage. It gives a much clearer and more accurate representation of your storage usage.
Just tried app, it is show 6.6gb for System Data, which is now even more confusing. Roms are ususally 1.5gb at most.

Here is the updated screen shot of the storage program. I think I need to delete everything and start fresh. Can I do this with twrp recovery safely

Probably but I'd start from scratch. Restore back to out of the box state (I'd use mskip's Note 8 tool). Then re-root and go from there.
But that's just me.

I would wonder what that 6gb is used up by. So what is the normal size any way?
I would think my system size should be semi normal since I have done nothing to this note yet.

Hello everyone,
I want to say upfront that i've tried pretty much everything.
My galaxy nexus was running fine till this morning, in the middle of a phone call the phone rebooted itselfs and now it's stuck on boot.
I had last cyano nighlty (10.2).
Since this had happened to me once i just tried to wype data and cache and reinstall the nighlty...nothing
then i wyped again and tried to install another nighlty ( previous one)...nothing
Wyped again and tried to restore a nandroid backup...nothing
So i decided to use the toolkit, downloaded the official 4.2.2 ( last available) erased all data and flash it trough toolkit but... NADA
Now something strange is happening, galaxy keeps being stuck in the boot but every now and then seems to "work" because it displays " app optimizing 1 of 13" then when it reachs the 13th it goes back again in the google logo, then it goes again but now apps seem to be just 3 and then again logo and so on..
Now i really don't know what to do.. any advice?
sorry in advance for my english:cyclops:
Your sd card is corrupted ur gonna need to find or buy a new one mine did the same thing I just brought me 2 of them just in case and took my nexus apart and replace the sd card and voila I rooted again and had no problem ever since... I notice the main board has no problems it only the sd card that has problems cuz that what everythings runs off of is the sd card is yours a 32 or 16 gb? I have both

Since I got the phone back in July, ice dl tons of apps. Then I rooted and tried every rom out! Im starting to notice I only got 3-5 GB free space left. Mostly media and ''other'' fill my phone up. If I do a factory restore from tarp will it wipe bootloader? Or is there an easier way to wipe with out worrying of deleting needed files?
I've got a Samsung S3, of course, and I just had to wipe all my data after trying to update this morning and ending up stuck on the cyanogen loading screen, the one with the head and the circular arrow around it. Sadly, I was dumb enough to forget to make a proper backup, however all the data from before is still on my phone, though I am missing the google play app. Is there any way I can use all that data on there to get my phone back to where it was? It would be a hassle doing everything manually, and I would be missing a lot of numbers that I don't believe I could get back very easily. I am currently copying everything from the internal memory and SD card back onto my computer in hpes of using the cyanogenmod installer I originally used.
