Any chance of there being a SD slot inside this shell? I would be willing to open to put it in of so. Just don't want to open it for no reason.
Sent from my DROIDX
no, there is a toshiba nand emmc.
I think there is no option to make a mod like this, because 32gb is a nand memory
I was referring to the att model having the SD card slot and wanted to know if anyone with a sprint model has opens it to find a SD slot just chilling inside.

Lol that'd be hilarious
I suppose if it does use similar circuitry, then their could be solder points, but you'd need to bend backwards to solder a good connection and get everything working.

There is this thread about a sim card mod for the sprintt ls970, but I don't know if any of the pictures are actually ours. The one video in thread is labeled as being from a Photon 4G.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2043604
Photon 4G had a SIM card slot, as well as a SD slot.
Honestly I don't think it's doable on this phone.

I opened mine a while back due to all the camera rattle complaints to see what was going on in there. There is no removable card.
Look it up, it's been out for awhile.

So my Slide got a bunch of water in it (lemonade, to be specific). I let it dry for a few days and now it boots (albeit with a new battery) but the microSD card is not recognized.
Everything else is fine with it, surprisingly.
Any ideas? Parts to get or whatnot?
Sorry to hear this but maybe sdcard had been damaged, try replacing it with a new one?

The microsd card is fine, it works in my Vibrant and microsd -> SD adapter.

I lol'd
Tried a different microsd card which works (<4gb seems to be the cutoff), now I can finally get off a nightly from September
So your problem is now resolved?
i am forced to use my 2gb memory card, since somehow my 8gb card doesn't work anymore, like if i was to put it in my phone it would freeze, or wouldn't show up in the sdcard settings, and when i put it in my sdcard adapter and put it in my comp, it still doesn't show up and my comp starts slowing down and freezes, but i'm planning on getting a new card for my aria(until the htc atrix comes out hehe) but will a 64gb card work on the aria or the highest is 32gb, cause if 64 will work it'll make my iTouch pretty much worthless, but even if a 32gb will work i'ma get rid of my iTouch
Max supported is 32.

Don't get Kingston cards unless marked being made by Japan. Just got a Taiwan make and boy... less than 1 MBps speeds on a class-4 card is pretty not awesome.

HTC is coming out with a comparable device.
Working for MCO, Kingston would mix and match where cards were made. Just because the 1st one out of the box was legit, didnt mean the 2nd was.
Backflip indeed was horrible but it opened me up to a new OS and now I love Android.
Im running a 32GB SDHC card, gave my girl my 8 and have a bowl of cards. None have given me issues on my phone with any of the ROMs. My GF has a Incredible and doesnt have any issues either.
Yes, this thread is worthless.
FYI, Google makes the Atrix...lol
Actually motorola makes the Atrix.seeing as it was out well before the Google buyout.

Totally derailed.
In any case, I thought the max was 16GB! So, no not worthless IMO.
I suggest you get a Sandisk on e-bay perhaps class 6 or 10 so you can run your ROM's cache and Davlink in there. I'm I right? eh? eh?

Cute novelty but doesn't seem like something that could be used as a selling point for most. I mean, how many times do you watch YouTube while writing an email?

This was a decision for me as well. Sdcard and battery killed it for me. I get great battery life with the s3 yet am still getting more batteries. I gsme or 2 can really empty a battery.
Sd, I look at it like this. 2 years ago I got an 8gb card. Never thought I would fill it up as I had hardly filled the 4gb before it. Now I have a 16 card along with my internal and they're starting to fill. Few games and backups will take a ton of space.

In all honesty, people were saying this about Samsung say, 2 years ago. If LG chooses to support their customers, then they would be better.

I'd say do it, you will never know whats wrong with a phone unless you try it. and at the end of the day you can just post the phone on craigslist and put trade for an s3 or note 2. can always go back. I'm actually looking for the same phone as you are offered.

Boot loader unlock is in the works.. Not sure on progress, but theres a few XDA devs working on this for the Optimus G. Specs aren't bad. But biggest turn off as mentioned is difficult to remove battery (3 screws on back plate, 2 on battery.. PITA to remove) and no SD expansion slot. I use my SD quite a bit due to flashing roms and things like that, so it's a deal breaker on this end.
Phone seems interesting. Quad core s4 right. I know its an lg. But let's not all forget the epic 4g when it was an Samsung and there was no support

I think with LG making the newest Nexus device this phone will get good support for updates considering its pretty much the same phone. Samsung used to be horrible with updates before the Galaxy Nexus so hopefully this helps LG along their way also. Seems like a great phone I wouldn't think you would be disappointed with a S3 or the Optimus G.

Getting the optimus later today. Is there anything I should know before hand?
What rom/mod/tweaks would you guys recommend? I used to own the evo 4g
Its new and in a way hesitant cause there isnt a sd card slot or removable battery
I love this phone. I can't really speak on any of the roms but even stock it rocks! It does have some issues with some Bluetooth receivers though but other than that I have had no problems.

Had my Eco for over 2 years and loved it. I've had the LGOG for about 2 weeks and love it. Plenty memory on board so I won't miss the sd card. I'm rooted and unlocked running stock zv9. Just waiting for a JB rom or update. I use an LG blue tooth headphone every day and have no issues.

you will be blown away by this phone. especially after using an evo. my wife cant believe how bad ass this phone is either lol
My sim card doesn't pop out when pushing forward on the card, so doesn't have that spring to it. I noticed the kid selling me the phone was trying to put the sim card where the memory card goes. I have to use tweezers to remove the card, this can't be right.

Mine doesn't pop out either neither does sd card. I guess that's the way these are built. Not like the note 2

Yeah, when putting in my sim and sd card, I didn't notice any spring load thing. It just simply slid in.

This. I never have to take the sim card out of my phone unless I buy a new phone. Since I'm not fortunate enough to buy a new phone every week, then the sim isn't much of a concern.
However, I am a little bummed about the SD card slot not being spring loaded. I do take that out every so often to transfer transfer things to it. Maybe the USB 3.0 connection will help with that. It might make up for the fact that MTP is so slow.
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
I thought I was the only one! my sim card just wouldn't come out and the only way I could get it out was to use a threading needle to nudge it out slightly, then slightly "stab" and pull it out. I thought I had a defective device and it only bothered me knowing that if I were to ever sell it, I would have a defective feature to list.
I never take my aim out anyways

It's actually for replacing the S-Pen tip, but if it also helps you take out the SIM card then that's just an added bonus
