Hi!
Today I tried to downloaded the plyalists which I had uploaded from pc with music manager on google music on my g Nexus. Now also if I am offline I can listen those songs with stock player. But the problem is that I don't know where they are saved! They aren't in folder Music and so I can't listen them with poweramp.
There is someone who know where f....ing this stupid g. music had put my songs? I'm becoming stupid searching them in the sd (no root).
The only thing that I envy to ios is itunes. You make your playlist on PC and then you can put them on your iphone/ipod.
Help please and sorry for my english
I found the answer. G play saves the music in the cache. This is one of the most stupid thing They can made. I This way you can listen the songs only with that horrible stock player. It's a pity. But for me in this terms is totally useless.

As opposed to saving them on your phone? Which you didn't need google music to do in the first place....
Human stupidity has no limits I suppose.
Probably my English is terribile but I thought the post was quite clear. It's obvious that I can upload the songs using winamp or doubletwist or simply putting the files in the folder Music. Imho Google Music is an alternative way with many potentialities to organzie your music, but if you think with your excellent and brilliant mind that saving the music in the cache is a good thing instead in a folder, maybe you shouldn't speak about human stupidity. There are many forums with many people with the same problem who can't use Poweramp or another app to listen the music downloaded with g Music and complain about it.
Don't worry I will import my Playlist with winamp as always, but sincerely I hope g. Music will be improved because if everyone is smart and brilliant like you now in our gnex we will have Eclair.
Thank you for your useful post and merry Christmas

Hey guys, I am new to XDA.
I just got a Galaxy Nexus, and I wanna play my music on it.
1. I Don't want to stream from the cloud.
2. I want automatically sync my itunes playlists.
If not from itunes, there should be a stable desktop client so that i can sync without cloud.
I tried doubleTwist, it was PERFECT. Except it didnt support MTP. :/
Now I am using SongBird, and its WORKS, but the layout is ugly. And slow.
Are there any other desktop-android apps out there that support mtp?
I have absoulutely checked everywhere, and (I think) checked everything.
THANK YOU!
OP...I moved your thread to the Galaxy Nexus forum in the Q&A section.
In the future, please start threads or posts in the correct sections.
Regarding music player, I just got used to using Google Music on GN, but with GS3, I have come to like Sammy Music Player
I love the Music Square, once I figured the music needed to be on the phone, and I needed to reload the music.
BUt I like to use genres when making playlists. I don't see them. are they there , is there a way to do it
I know there are tons of music players out there. But this gets lots of great reviews, the equalizer works etc
Is there one that MOST people agree is in the top 1 0r 2 Or is this one now one of those
Thank You
You can setup your tabs in settings. There's a genre tab in there somewhere.

Wow do I feel like a fool
Ill try 2 for 2....for song search, is the only option to drag the slider thru the alphabet?
As far as tagging I see it does that. But album art, how do I get that
I know the other players get it...but
1. Do they keep it? Something I read led me to believe it was just temporary
I am speaking of PowerAmp and PlayerPro. Maybe even WinAmp
All I want is:
Ability to set playlists with genres
Ability to get tags PLUS album art
A decent EQ
Possibly music AND video in one with Video opening full screen
Believe it or not the reviews are right. Samsung did a good job
It can do #1, after u pointed it out.
It can do number 2, waiting on the ART answer
It is said by reviewers to have an awesome EQ
It doesnt play video. But I can use the Video player and It opens FULKY
Doubletwist, Playerpro do not open fully
Thanks Again
Eric.
Can't find this anywhere else, but I'm unable to queue music in the stock music player.
Is this possible, as it is in every other music player I've ever seen?

Nope. It should depend on the Touchwiz framework to run.

There's something called "schnellstartliste" in german. If you long press a song you can add it to that. If you select that from playlists, which should be the first entry, it acts as queue. Maybe that's what you are looking for

This works for individual tracks, but you can't queue an album in the 'quick list'.
You get the option to add to a list and the 'quick list' isn't an option....

you can try poweramp theres a trail version on google play store, its pretty good and has loadsa options, used a couple of different players already and i find poweramp to be the best
I'm using 'cubed'. Good music player but not been tested on the s3 yet, hence can't create playlists.
Can queue tracks and albums though, so not too bad.
I just really liked the stock player and am a bit puzzled why you can't queue stuff properly. It's a deal breaker for me.

Buy Music. Do not get them from pirated sources. You'll not need such apps then!
EDIT:Most media players do it automatically these days. You just need to find the correct one.

The MX player does that.
The music is all legal except I bought it when I was in China so for whatever reason, the song names are English but album and artist names show up as strange weird characters in Google Play music app (pic attached) and It's quite expensive for me to buy them all over again. I think I'll check out Mx player. Thanks for your help guys.

Try mediamonkey on the PC. The free version should be OK for what you need to do.

You can download a lot of paid apps like poweramp for free from the internet and you don't need to root. Just look at sites like 4shared or google it. Just make sure you enabled unknown sources

Because why flood the forums with same problem that has been discussed already and make solving the problem more difficult by dividing the information to several topics about the same thing.
Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
because the forums werent flooded since this topic hasnt been discussed a lot,
This is a major issue with this device. My Nexus 6 doesn't experience these issues, neither does the iPhone 6. There has been several threads about the problem here and on other sites.
